Title: What is your favorite menu theme?

When it comes to what sets the mood and makes a game a game, there's a whole slew of different elements that ultimately make up the experience that is, well, the game. One of these elements I don't hear a lot about is the menu music. From Super Smash Bros. various menu tracks to Deus Ex, there's quite a variety of scores that draw the player in or hype them up.

What are your preferences?

That's tough. Here are a few that come to mind based on the look and also the music playing.


-Elemental Gearbolt
-Half Life (PS2 Version)

First one that comes into my mind is that medeval tune in the starting screen of "Final Fantasy IX"  8) generally this game has some of the greatest music to ever grace an rpg.

Since Halloween is coming up, first one that came to mind was Silent Hill 4. Love that creepy guitar.

Also love Chrono Cross, Metal Gear Solid 3, and of course Smash Melee,

Instant one that comes to mind is Xenoblade Chronicles - What also helps is that wonderful imagery of the Monado Blade within the field and how the sky transitions from day to night.

The Uncharted games by a wide margin. Hearing the theme play against an intriguing backdrop gets me ready for some adventuring. Uncharted 2 is probably the favorite for me.
