Having misread the topic of Disgaeniac's thread and thinking it as something totally different, this idea came to light. A thread for us to list games we are looking for, but have hard times finding good deals on. The idea of this thread is to have a place where we can quickly see which games others are looking for deals on and if we find one, either let them know, or work out a deal on picking it up for them.
Anyway, here's my original post, feel free to list the things you're looking for here and hopefully we can all help each other out a bit. ;D

"NEW" for ~ $13.00 or
"USED" (all of the way up to "Used: Like-New/C.I.B." condition(s) for anywhere from $1.00 to $3.00...
...You can't really hope to get it for a better price than that; anyway :P

Oh cool. I'm going to check out the used stores around here for Baldur's Gate 1st. It's one of the games I originally had, and I'm trying to replace them with the same versions. Via Amazon, I'm not sure if I'd get the Original or the GH, so I'll hold off for now.

I actually have a Korean Tiny Toon Adventures game for the Genesis / Mega Drive. It looks legit, but I couldn't get it to run on my NTSC system. It was also missing the manual.

There are actually plenty of PC-98 games that aren't porn - they just tend not to get talked about as much on Western websites because... well... because "L@@K BEWBIES" is a lot easier to explain to people who don't know Japanese than "Hey check out this interesting battle system!" ^^~

Well if you just want the game and don't care about getting the US version, you can get the japanese version for a lot cheaper than the US one. It seems like an action game for the most part so maybe the language won't be much of a barrier.

Yeah, I could do that. If I get the JP version I'll want it complete, which is roughly half of the cart only US version...decisions, decisions.
I'd really like the US cart just because, but if I don't find it by 2013 I'll probably just break down and get the cheaper of the two.

Ive seen her at Best Buy, Toys R Us, Walmart, Gamestop multiple times. For the week or so after Giants released, Flashwing and Sprocket were a bit tougher to find than Pop Fizz, Chill, or any of the other first releases. But now, I see everything on the shelf thats out but Hot Head (Which I do see seldomly as well).

looking to find "Little Computer People" for IBM or C64 learned about this game when I was about 7 or 8 and was at a cousins friends house and never really got to play it but it was really interesting. I later found out it came out on IBM type PC.

Yeah, I had no problems at all w/ him (Matt(?), iirc) concerning the deal -then again- it didn't hurt that he turned out to be local (we met about 1/2 way = ~15 min drive for each of us:) / I'd Paypal-ed him the $ & met him in person a few hours later :)

Yup, totally open to anyone. I figure this can act as a general list for any of us who might come across something in the wild. Was a little hard for me to go through all the pages of this thread, so a google doc might be handy to keep it all together, sortable, and editable.
I figure if he can find anything on this list, I can pass it on to the forum folk. I'm not sure what he comes across as he just mentioned it to me the other day briefly before needing to take off. I asked if the stuff was older or not, and he says they definitely have Gamecube games if anything. I have a feeling it might not be anything older than that generation of games, but maybe they have Playstation 1 stuff, too. I just threw different platforms in there just in case they ever pop up.

I know it's been a little while since anyone's posted in this thread, but would anyone have any idea where to find a copy of "Aquanaut's Holiday: Hidden Memories" for the PS3, specifically the English-Chinese or English-Korean version? I'm aware it's one of the rarest PS3 games out there, so price doesn't really matter to me, but just finding the darn thing is proving to be a real chore. Every site I go to seems to be sold out or only stocked with the Japanese version, which doesn't have English subtitles. The one copy I did find sold almost immediately after. I would prefer having the English-Chinese version (any excuse to practice my Chinese,) but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
While I'm here, I'm also looking for a rather obscure Japan-only PSX game called "... Iru!" (Written in hiragana as ”。。。いる！" and roughly translated as "... There!" or "... Something's here!") With its generic title, it's rather hard to find, especially on Japanese sites. I found a few copies on Amazon Japan, but seeing as I live in the U.S., I can't order it. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Not to discourage you, disgaeniac, but speaking as someone who has played this game all the way through, it's pretty terrible. (And this is coming from someone who adores the original Siren, a horror game that is pretty much universally reviled for its gameplay.) Granted, it's been about five years since I've played it, but... yeah. It wasn't very fun. The concept was interesting (reminded me a bit of White Day,) but the controls are very clunky, even for their time. It's also incredibly linear, and the atmosphere loses its effectiveness once you find out that the enemy encounters are all scripted. I'm still going to buy it, partly because of nostalgia and partly because of my warped collector's drive / masochism, but I can't in good conscience allow someone to buy it without knowing what they're getting into.

The disc-drive is dying on my Saturn. So I'm looking for a console only Sega Saturn, that works, and is NTSC.
I don't need any cables, controllers, or anything else.
I'm trying to get a better price than eBay, if I can. I can seem to be able to find console only Saturns for around $45 on ebay. That seems a bit steep, to me. As I bought mine for $50 and it did include all the cables, controllers, and even a demo disc.
Can anyone here help me out?

Nice! Now tweak the resistance on that laser to get every bit of life out of your current one. They aren't going to make any new saturns unfortunately... you got to make them last as long as possible...
Then take a shot at replacing the laser. With a replacement system in your possession, who cares if you mess up. Also, no reasonable mess up is unfixable.

Because the new laser will go out too. Lasers don't last forever. As CD systems die and people don't fix them the cost goes up as well as the risk of constantly finding duds of systems. Shop for a 3DO or Jaguar CD lately? I could see the saturn going this route.
You shouldn't replace the laser yet anyway. Start with cleaning the inside of the system (including the laser). If needed, decrease the resistance on the laser (this should give you 6-12 months of added use). Then, once the laser finally burns out, work on replacing the laser.
You've got a replacement system and the current one does not work. There is nothing to mess up. Just an opportunity to pick up a skill. But to each their own. Just don't be afraid of breaking something that doesn't work.
The other reason is because you can snag systems ridiculously cheap from people who don't know how to fix them.

While I'm here, does anyone know where to find a complete copy of Glass Rose (PAL, PS2) for a decent price? I've been looking around and the price is too high on sites like Amazon and eBay UK. It shouldn't cost more than 10-15 GBP for a complete copy, and yet I'm seeing it listed for upwards of 30 or 40. Even when the buying price is low, the shipping is astoundingly high. I'm just talking about a simple ship from the UK to the US. It should not cost 20 GBP to send!

I've been looking around for a rare Japan-exclusive item as of late. Back when the original Fatal Frame (known as "Project Zero" in the PAL regions and "Zero" or "零" in Japan) was released, there were short surveys included in each game case. The completed and returned surveys were placed in a raffle for pairs of "Zero" limited edition headphones. Only 1000 were given out. Here's some pictures:

The bad thing with that is the player itself is almost worthless. You are basically going to pay the same for the disk as you would disk+player. And that combo is normally $35+. Good luck though!

There are 2 pages of them on Amazon without disk. The cheapest disk only on there is $30 + 4 shipping. The cheapest BIN on ebay is exactly the same price. $34 free shipping. So thats probably what you are looking at. But there is no shortage of disks either so you could probably be a little patient and hopefully get lucky and catch an auction ending cheap.

This seems to be pretty rare, so I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help. I'm looking for the box to Gem Smashers for GBA. There aren't even many carts of this available (right now 4 on Amazon and 1 on Ebay) and in all my time looking I've never once come across the box for this game. If anyone comes across it or has it and is willing to sell it, that'd be great!

You can always see if the people on Amazon are willing to sell the box seperately. A lot of people on there arent gamers and if you make them a decent enough offer, they will seperate. I did that a few times to get the boxes for my DW stuff.

You can always see if the people on Amazon are willing to sell the box seperately. A lot of people on there arent gamers and if you make them a decent enough offer, they will seperate. I did that a few times to get the boxes for my DW stuff.

Unfortunately, I just went through all the boxes and not a single one had a manual with it. I'm shocked considering how well everything was taken care of. He has no idea where they went either as he bought them off someone else he knew a long time ago.
So with that, I feel like I have to complete these bad boys! Can anyone help me out with manuals and potentially anything else that came in them (i.e. posters) without breaking the bank? Here's a list of the games:

I've been on a bit of a Drakengard / Drag-on Dragoon / Nier kick since the announcement of Drakengard 3, and have slowly been building up my collection of merch and such for the series. I'm looking for the Japan-exclusive limited edition cards released for Lord of Vermilion Re:2 that featured characters from Drakengard and Nier - cards for Caim, Angelus, Arioch, Leonard, Emil, and Kaine. They're a real pain to find online, even on Japanese sites. I've included a few pictures for reference, as well as the names of the cards / characters written in katakana.

My girlfriend is playing through all the Final Fantasy games and she's about ready to play 5. I have FF anthologies, but I really feel like the Gameboy Advance version would be easier for her to play through. I would just buy it off ebay or amazon, but I don't want to deal with the possibility of buying a bootleg version.

I can help you out a little with a few of these (info wise that is). SMS plug - There are two places that actually make their own plugs and they are pretty popular on Sega Age. The first is http://shop.gametrog.com/SEGA_c2.htm The second is http://retrogamecave.com/#/shop/4577155950 (this is where I got the plug for my CDX).
Dragon warrior inserts. The first game came with just C I B. There are other pieces that came with the Nintendo Power giveaway however and thats a silly gold tip sheet, the laminated adventure guide, and the explorer's handbook. The second game was CIB with a map but you can also find the Unveiled secrets guide but it tends to be costly.
You can find the disk for the GB player online fairly easy but its going to cost you $20-30. Personally I think its worth it. I have 3 GB player (one on each of my black/indigo/silver GC) and they are definitely one of the greatest pieces of the GC. :)

Nope, DW1 was mapless. All the additional stuff came with a Nintendo power promotion (which is how I actually got my original copy of the game) and all that extra stuff was included. There was a map included with this issue (at the bottom of the page you can see a mini shot of it and the second picture is a 2 page little paper DQ text adventure that comes with the issue as well)

Anyone have a cheap SNES AC Adapter? I can't find one locally and the only guy that seems to have one sells cheap knockoff versions that also work on the Genesis... and they don't fill me with confidence.
Edit: I think I'll also be in need of a second brick for a SNES copier I have lying around. I think. I need to dig for it...

It shouldn't be too bad, I sold off one of our SNESes with box a few years ago and it was about 20ish to mail in the US. But I like to think I have shipping-fu. I'm currently watching the one that was just the system, no zapper or games. We never played the shooting games enough to warrant keeping an old TV around.

Retrousb re-cart of smb2j for the NES. There are many recarts of this game but this one is unique. Both the wind and luigi jump physics are preserved.
Nes EverdriveN8 deluxe edition (out of stock forever on stoneagegamers) I am working on a home brew game with my 11 year old son so we can learn assembly. We'd like to have a way to test our stuff on the real NES instead of being limited to emulators.

Been trying to look for an EU copy of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for PS1 (http://vgcollect.com/item/55198) and it's god damn impossible to find one that's price doesn't go into triple digits.
According to the price charting site however the NA version of the game runs on average for $30 new, which is unbelievable.
So it's easy to speculate that the PAL version of the game is more rare therefore more expensive, but do you guys know anywhere that might sell a copy cheap?
I'm not interested in the PSN version, as they stripped away the main story for no reason, thanks Capcom.

If you mean the Super Story Mode, that was a PS1 exclusive feature. Neither the Arcade nor Dreamcast releases had it. (Fun fact: The Dreamcast version's back cover says it does. It ticked me the hell off.)

I think the slims are released in May. And I guess that argyle wants the "old" one, since the new one has an LCD screen :P I personally want the slim version, I prefer a screen that will last longer to one that is slightly prettier (I can't notice the difference if they're not side by side, anyway).
edit: And now that I'm reading about it, the charging cable is now micro USB on the slim, so this is pretty convenient! And the battery seems to have a little longer life (about an hour). My choice is definitely staying with the slim. I'm pretty sure I'll ask for money at Christmas to buy one then ;D

Yeah, I'm mainly looking for a new one but I guess if I knew the person who was selling it & knew they had taken very good care of it I would consider used. The slims come out the first week in May I believe. The OLED is gorgeous to me - I haven't seen the LCD in person yet so I'll hold my final judgement, but from videos I've seen the difference is striking.

I think thats my main issue with the PSP/Vita atm is I like the 3DS too much lately. Zelda Link between worlds and Bravely Default are 2 of the last main games Ive played lately and I just got that version of Conception today as well.

I'm a big fan of both, and I swap back & forth between them. I've been playing the Vita recently with Danganronpa, and it looks like it may be my go-to for a while w/ some of the other games that have either just released or are about to. That said, I still want to get back to the 3DS to finish up Bravely Default. And a big draw to the 3DS to me is that it plays DS games, since I didn't really get into that system when it was big.

I got an email from Nintendo saying that Super Mario 3 is finally up in their digital store for both Wii-U & 3DS. Which is cool, but $5 seems very steep to me for a digital copy of a 25 year old game.
I also think they take way too long to release these old games digitally, but that's a complaint I'd also level at Sony and pretty much every publisher out there. Why is there no digital Suikoden II / Xenosaga / .hack / Rule of Rose? These games all sell for big $$ on the secondary market (with the possible exception of the Xenosaga games, I haven't priced them lately), you would think the actual publishers would want a piece of that.

If someone happens to have one or a few McDs on their run, can you please see if they have any of the ones I circled? :) Usually, I just ask to see which toys they currently have, and they always let me choose one and buy it separately without a happy meal.

Yeah, I did a deep cleaning of my SNES when I got it from Goodwill because of how dirty it was. To open it up, you need a 4.5 mm security bit for the console screws as well as a 3.8mm security bit for opening up the games. I also reccomend that in addition, to cleaning the shell, make sure that its isn't yellowing, ( you can use oxi-clean+ weak hydrogen peroxide(12%), xanthal gum, liquid glycerin( optional), and gloves for handling the hydrogen peroxide. Also, it may be a good idea to use compressed air to get excessive dust out of the console/games.

Well, I'm sorry to hear about the situation. SNES's model 1's are notorious for yellowing from even just the air, it doesn't have to be direct light hitting it. Even with that cleaning method, my SNES still shows small signs of yellowing, so every once in a while I'm going to have to use the cleaning method again. It's already very yellow. I've watched some videos on how to clean it & try to de-yellow it - I actually clean all of the used consoles I pickup anyway. But there's so much wrong with this one, and it looks like completely taking it apart to attempt to de-yellow it is a major PITA - plus with no guarantee that the odor will ever leave (and to be perfectly honest, I don't even want to work on it with it smelling that way - not only do I despise the smell of cigarette smoke but I'm also highly allergic to it). Iunno.
I've honestly started debating just ordering a Retron 5 so I can hook the thing up to my main TV & just selling the snes for parts.

Not sure - I'll endure it long enough to plug it up & put a game in - if it works I'll list is as working but with a strong cig smell. Wish I could find a "throw away" game, I would rather not put one of my good ones in it. ;)

The yellowing/Browness from SNES 1 are because of the ingredient of Bromine (Prevents it from being Flammable). The bromine goes into a reaction under UV lights (Natural or Artificial) and this leaves the Bromine seperate and free and seeking for oxygen (Oxidation), which leads it to become yellow/brown. There is not way to stop this process even If you keep it in its original package.
Retrobrighten method is good method but disclaimer, It does reverse the effect but it will never go back to it original color to the fullest. It will look a little waterdown (not really noticeable but there is a very slight difference).

I know this may be a long shot but Sega Saturn cases in good condition. I have a lot (read 4 of my 6) of Saturn games that came in just jewel cases with no artwork or anything, I currently have them in DVD cases with artwork printed but I would love to get them in blank saturn cases and then start looking for manuals for the games if possible!

With all the excitement about Majora's Mask 3D bundle going around, and the reveal of the Collector's Edition Strategy Guide, it reminded me that I held off on getting the Link Between Worlds Collector's Edition Guide. Good luck with finding a complete pokemon box for a decent price since it's the rarest game for the Gamecube. $150 seems too much to pay for a pokemon storage system and playing r/s on the tv.

I've been looking for a CIB copy of Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine for the N64 for some time, but every one I find is either hideously overpriced or looks like someone used the box as a trampoline. If anyone sees or is willing to let go of a copy in decent condition for less than $60 (still kind of high for the particular game I think, but meh,) I'd really appreciate it if they contacted me.

Alright guys I REALLY need one of the black trays for a wide 2-disc PS1 game. I stumbled upon your post and it just so happens I have a spare case for Resident Evil with cover and manual. Only thing is that said cover is the player's choice version with the yellow on top and the yellow on the binder at the bottom. I found one dude who was selling his for $50 and trying to work out a trade, but he hasn't responded to any of my pms in the last 2 weeks. I was pretty bummed since his trade conditions were actually very reasonable.
Edit: Found one on ebay for $35! It does need some repair on the plastic surrounding one of the sticks, but they work really well for my Museum Vol .4's Assault and Assault Plus.

True, this happened to me before at my local GS a long time ago. Found a case for a game I was interested in, but they couldn't locate the disc. They said I could just keep the box for free as it didn't matter to them.

I remember the PS4 and PC CE versions being somewhat scarce around here right after the game released. I would occasionally see the XBONE version in a store. I wonder if there's going to be a similar issue when Deformers comes out later this month. ???
Anyway I did a check and the closest store to me that has a PC CE is up in Indianapolis. If you can't get it from soera then I can see if my local GS guy can have it shipped to his store. He's done me a solid a few times now with some harder to get stuff. ;)

well im not sure if I can or not but if you can pull good dimensions off of it I may be able to make them for you. im assuming you have 1 you can measure, if not you may be able to find something similar enough to work with slight modifications.

I kind of forgot I responded to this but yeah I can try. I did find a couple of memory cards from my games I was trying to put into my database so hopefully one of them has corrupted data to try this out. I will try to do it over the weekend and post results.

Hello! This is my first post and I'd like to say that this is a fantastic website! I didn't know if I could create my own thread, but for now, I'll try here.
I'm in North America and have recently received my Switch Super Nintendo controllers and I love them! But you know what I love even more? Super Famicom controllers!

The problem is these are not worth the ebay prices. Or does anybody know if I buy a solo EU online Switch membership if Nintendo will ship to the US?

I can try, but I think it's not going to work because today you can only share PSN accounts with only 2 PS3, and in AntonioKratos case, I guess his PS3 is the 2nd of the account's share.

I'm actually looking for some merchandise items for the obscure Japanese only Pretty Fighter series (including FIST).
These games were released by Imagineer.
There's some nice and cool collectible items out there I'm looking for- I have the games thermselves.
I also understand these items might be expensive so I'm not expecting to get them cheap! lol.
Here goes:
I'd like to find an official poster for the first game Pretty Fighter (one was available on Mandarake some time ago).
There are 2 official 8 inch figurines released for the game Pretty Fighter X (with possible more releaxed for an obscure competition).
These figures are for the characters Marin and Juri and released by a company called Five in Oaska, Japan.
There is a manga style promo magazine also released for the first Pretty Fighter Game back in 1994 which I'd like to find.
There's a VHS videotape which is actually a 1994/1995 Imagineer promo tape containing prototype footage of Pretty Fighter for the Super Famicom which is very different from the final released game.
Finally there's a fan released CD for the game Fist which contains a collection of Doushin works and I'd be interested to own that as well.
If anyone has any of these items or any other related merchandise and would like to sell, please let me know.

I really wish I had learned about this game sooner. I had heard of it, but didn't realize the gameplay, story, and music were exactly what I wanted. It seems to be much more rare than the regular US Windows/Dos compatible version?
It can be distinguished by the small "Designed for Windows 95" sticker on the front of the box instead of the usual blue "DOS Product" label.

I have a US warehouse in Oregon that can accept them in my behalf. All I need for you to do is pack them carefully because what's the use of replacing my own if the one that I will receive is almost the same condition or worst as mine?

I modded a Sega Nomad recently and I'm looking for a cheap ($20 or less) Japanese Mega Drive game to test one of the mods. Would be awesome to get one of the Sonic games or something like Golden Axe. As long as it has been confirmed working then I don't care if it's complete or not. Again, my budget is $20.

I know this is a long shot... but does anyone by any chance have an older GPU laying around that they would be willing to let go for non scalper prices. Im trying to put together a gaming PC for a buddy of mine using spare parts i have at the house and the only thing im missing is a dedicated GPU. I'm putting a Ryzen 3 2200g in there so it has an ok integrated GPU, but I was hoping to give him something with a little more power. Looking for something like an RX 460 or gtx 660 or something better.

I am looking for the (mock-ably horrible) Cheetahman comic book that was included as a pack-in with the infamous NES Action 52 cartridge. I am expressly not looking for the cart itself or the box or any of the other bells and whistles; I just need a copy of comic. Offered price is going to depend on condition somewhat (and clearly, I'm not into this for the sort of prices a CIB copy demands).
Be aware that the guy who created Cheetahman reprinted this fairly recently. Reprints have the title changed to read "Cheetahman: the Origin" and have a red reprint disclaimer at the bottom of the front cover. I don't want one of those, only one that started life in an Action 52 box.

Rise 1 was released on both CD and floppy.
These were published in Korea by a company called Ssangyong.
