I found this at a large garage sale. Bought it for $30. It came with the game Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six. Just thought I would share this artistic masterpiece.

Sweeeet find!

I think this is one of the nicest looking custom systems I've seen

There's a guy here in Missouri that does custom NES work, and his stuff is top-notch. Check it out: http://platinumfungi.com (http://platinumfungi.com)

Was I the only one that was like... "my god, what did they do to that NES?!" ?
Cool find though.

You're not alone my friend. It's awesome, but my brain just fires off "YOU DEFACED A TREASURE!"

The hardware is a dime-a-dozen. At one point I had 20+ sitting in the closet, I started modifying them too. I have a Zelda themed one around somewhere. I'll have to snap some photos.

I love finding stuff like that. It is one of the reasons I like to by used stuff. Everything tells a story about its previous owner. That is one of the most human systems ever. Paired with the game, I can just see a parent carefully painting it for their spiderman loving son (we can assume their last name is not Jameson). That system was loved and used. That's awesome!

I think the original owner had to be a cake decorator. That Spidey face screams birthday cake to me, for some reason.
