Title: 0 entry
Post by: solvesoul on August 14, 2014, 12:46:42 pm
Hi,

I tried to make a new game for the database but when I submitted it resulted in a "0" entry. All it says is 0, so maybe this one can be removed, here's the link:

Sorry for the inconvenience.  :)

EDIT: One of the images I was trying to upload was 10Mb+ in size, I think this caused the problem. I retried with a smaller image and then it worked.

Got the same problem with one of my submissions, also with larger images: http://vgcollect.com/item/66404 (http://vgcollect.com/item/66404)

Here's another one that needs to be deleted.

I guess I didn't think about how big the files were when I scanned the pics for the Shogun Total War strategy guide. I resubmitted and the correct item is here:

I guess it made me create a new item even though I tried to go back to the original to correct it.

It did that to me too!
What's going on?

I was using smallish .jpg files

The same thing just happened to me. The picture files are too big then?

edit: I had wrong file type on photos (bmp instead of jpeg).

Admins, this happened to me too. You can delete this addition here, it came out blank.  http://vgcollect.com/item/81904

I can use the _same_ image and get a blank entry. If I choose to upload more than 1 picture during creation it always results in a blank entry. I think this is a bug and not user error. Workaround is of course to create entry with 1 picture and add the others later.

I'm going to look into this and clean up the add / edit form. The system should reject any images if they are too big to handle.
