Title: Gamefly September Sale
Post by: argyle on September 09, 2014, 09:36:47 am
Gamefly's September sale starts this morning at 10:00 PST.  Fair warning, I personally stopped buying disk based games from them because all of the ones I received had tiny "chips" knocked out of the edges of the disks.  We're talking stuff that typically doesn't affect gameplay & usually isn't really noticeable unless you feel along the edge of the disk, but if you're picky like I am you won't like it.  ;)  That said, I'm probably going to try to snag a copy of Demon Gaze for the Vita to re-assemble my LE of that.  :D

Are these just disc/cartridge only?

No, their games come complete.  They put the cases aside when they rent the games, so all of that is mint from my experience and even includes inserts, DLC codes, etc.

So how do you buy from them? Do you rent the game first, and then buy it afterwards?

Nope, you can just buy the game and they send everything to you at once.

If you're a GF member, you can rent and buy if you like - they have an option for almost everything you rent to "keep" them item.  You keep that rental copy and the mail you the case and manual and inserts.

But whether you're a member or not, you can just buy the game in their store (everything is preowned, but like Argyle says, the other components are mint).

Gamefly members get free shipping, though, if anything.

Every single used game I have bought from Gamefly has been in complete/mint condition. Even the discs are clean and without scratches.

Looks like I missed out on Mario & Luigi Dream Team. I see it for rent, and you can keep it for that price, but there's no buy version like there is for Yoshi's New Island.

Yep, if the "buy" option doesn't show that means they've sold all they intend to right now.  Sorry.   :-\

Not your fault. I saw this post yesterday and hesitated. This is what happens when you do that!
