The report post function is there to warn the mods and admins about people breaking the rules. Fights, posting spam, making inappropriate posts with content that is not safe for work, or that contains illegal content. It is not meant to be used to report double posts, or for other reasons. It's like calling 911 because someone spilled their drink on the floor.
Using the report post link sends a PM to all the mods, but it's a different kind of PM - an urgent one that says "we need your help RIGHT NOW". It's only meant to be used in emergencies.
If you need to contact a moderator for other reasons, please send the admins (http://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,6644.0.html) a PM instead.
