Those of you who watch Retro Reload already knew about this. Those of you who follow vgcollect on Facebook already knew about this. It's time to fill everyone else in.

On January 20, 2016 vgcollect.com turns 5 years old, and we're going to have a little fun!  We are going to be having a contest with some pretty cool prizes.  It's our way of saying thanks to everyone who has made vgcollect a success. I'll post more details about the contest this week, but I just wanted to let you all know about the prizes that we will be giving away.

1st place:  Any game you want, up to $60.00. Just tell us what you want, and we'll buy it. It's that easy.
2nd place:  A $20.00 GameStop gift card. Or if you'd prefer a different store, we will do what we can.
3rd place:  A one year pro subscription to vgcollect.com

I want to thank Jason for allowing me to run this, and for putting up the money for the prizes.

Look forwards too seeing what it is. Seems not that long ago there was no good collection tracker and I had to use Retro Collect, a much inferior and EU focused site. Luckily, I found a link to VGCollect and it's superior user added content and no focus on region. I spent a lot of time the next month tracking my collection, while scanning & adding the things I had that where unlisted, which at that time in VGcollect's life was quite a bit. It has become, without a doubt, the best collection database around.

I still feel like a minority though, in the forums at least.  Nah this site is great!
