I know the app is currently considered unsupported, and I know that it's filled with bugs, but this seems to be a pretty major one: I can't even log in! I'm 100% certain I filled in my password and username correctly, and I tried to log in multiple times. My internet connection is fine too. But it simply tells me my username and/or password are incorrect. Is this a familiar issue? How can I fix this?

It appears to be working to me at the moment. Is anyone else experiencing issues?

When I use the beta app, it lets me login, but nothing shows up. I suppose something changed so that the beta app doesn't work anymore?

I concur. I recently got a new phone. I was logged in and was having spotty crashes, so I thought I might clear the cache and log back in, but nope. Can't get back in.

Any chance this can get looked at? It really just looks like the server might be denying the new connections or something.

yeah same thing here. I got a new phone because my old one broke and can't login to app. I even tried deleting app and reinstall and changing my password just in case still has same issue.

Just chiming in for this, same case for me. Using on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and getting an incorrect password/username popup. Maybe has to do with my account on the site being so new? Though looks like others are having issues with older accounts as well.

This issue has happened at least once before, but from what I recall it got fixed pretty quickly.
Really hoping that this can get fixed soon. It's a real pain to load 10 different pages to figure out whether or not I own a specific game while out hunting.

Thank you! Another user here, same issue. We appreciate you looking into it! As others have mentioned, the fast list ability of the app is invaluable when we're out searching shelves. I know you're probably hating it and wrestling with it currently, but it's a great tool for the community and we're grateful for your efforts.

Just to notify I got the same error here. I can't log in because my user and password doesn't match but I'm sure that both are correct. Thank you for everybody that is working on this for us :)

Unable to login with Moto g4 Play. Nothing happens upon pressing login button. I also made sure I was logged out of website in case of some weird conflict.

I haven't been able to log in for awhile now. One positive thing is that now I won't buy games out in the wild, in case I have it already. Really has been saving the wallet.

I reinstalled it and now I get a message that either the user name or Password is incorrect. Is it possible there's some kind of android keyboard setting that's fucking with it?

It is even impossible to download the android app for me, as a newbie I wanted to try it but even the download was impossible ...

Yeah, can't log in. Installed to my new phone, just isn't working. Password works fine on the site, not at all on the app. Crazy question - Would it have anything to do with me being already logged into it on my old phone?

The app doesn't work for me either but i think it have something to do with the fact that VGC switched from HTTP to HTTPS recently (two or three months if i remember correctly), maybe the app didn't get the upgrade necessary to follow that change and still try to connect to the old URL.

Hm, good point. I have a vague recollection that Jason may have said something to the effect that "someone is working on this" but I'll have to go back through my messages to check.
Sorry for the inconveniences, folks! Hopefully the mobile site works well enough, though I know it'd be nice to have the app work, especially now that we have things like the barcode search.

I'm working hard to get an Alpha version of the new app ready to go out on the App Store. It is currently pending publication. I'll make a new thread once I'm able to have people start using/testing it out.

It still only has minimal functionality (Log in, View Collection, View Wish List, View Sell List, Search, Add to Collection, Barcode Search)
I still need to add filtering by platform, Delete, Browse, but should be functional for now.
Also, I'm hoping to move the project to the original VGC App on the Google App Store one it is done, so that it's easier for people to find.
I welcome your feedback.

I believe this is still being worked on. Jason had some of the admins check out a newer version of the app for feedback a few months back. Hopefully something soon for folks!

I was able to login with the new version. App seemed to believe I was logged in already on launch but once I logged out I got the user/password prompts.

I still can't login. It just tells me to put in a valid username/password. Which obviously I know I've got it correct because I'm signed in right now to the site as I'm posting this.
Is there an option to sign out at all? I know I was having the same issue as lancer1977 where the app assumes I was already logged in even though I had just downloaded the app. Once I logged out, I was able to sign in again just fine. Also, are you using the most up-to-date version from the Google Play site?

Well, there's a beta version, and a regular version; that I saw. I downloaded the regular version.

Tired both.
Original cant log into.
New bata, i log in and it just shows the word "collection"
Cant do anything else.
I just want the old app back. Nothing fancy just a list of the games.

The new app has to download your collection. My collection is a little under half yours and mine takes a minute or so to load.

See that right there is a problem.
I liked the old app where i could look up a list fly though it and see what i have. I dont want it with tons of pictures making take longer to load.
Out garage salin' sometimes you dont get a strong signal and a text list was bad enough getting to load.
I got the new app to load but its one long list and takes forever to find something for me. Imagine it takes a minute to load 30 games. Now times that by 13,000. Not fun.
I love vgcollect but so far the new app sucks if your on the go and want to see something quick. Keep it simple guys.

I'm not sure what the breakpoint of usability of the list concerning amount in the inventory, but I imagine anyone with over 500 items can see this problem.
I also tried to just view the site in the phone browser but I could not determine how to make the categories on the left show up.

PLEASE brother... re-enable the old app. I'm starting to feel like I'm being ignored here. The Flea, myself, and MANY others would REALLY appreciate this.

I'm just going to throw this out there and say that it may not "only take a few seconds" to re-enable the old app.
I wasn't able to login to the old app for the longest time, but eventually it started working again.

Flea, when I say "the longest time", I mean I was unable to login for like a month straight and then one day it suddenly started working again.
The app is not disabled. Many other users CAN login to the app. I CAN login to the app. I use it on the daily.
I can suggest things to you, but none of it will probably work, for me, one day it just started working again.
You can go into application manager, find the VGCollect app, and clear data. Then try to login. Probably won't fix it, but it is something to try.

Yeah doesnt work for me also, new to the site and thought it would be handy having it mobile. Wont let me lo in at all/
