So this is everything I got in June! Not much but something  ;D.

McDonalds here is having Super Mario toys in their happy meals so I've gone there every week to buy each one of them separate (only two left!)

I got the Sly Cooper collection(sealed) for about 17€ on an auction site, which is cheap because that one is going up a lot in price, atleast here. And glad it's an import, don't have to cringe at swedish voices. Also got Majin & the Forsaken Kingdom from the same site. Also one I hardly see much and one I've wanted to play since the demo.

Ordered Bayonetta 2 cheap from an internet store, like 19€.
I bought Shadow of the Colossus HD on PSN for 5€, physical copies are becoming so damn expensive now that I won't bother finding one anymore.
And lastly I went to a flea market this Tuesday and picked up a sealed copy of New Super Mario Bros Wii for 20€ (I will open it to play it) & also picked up the first Jak & Daxter for about 2-3€.

So speaking of McDonalds.  We picked up one of those big totes full of 80's and 90's McDonalds happy meal toys, some still in packaging.  We've been slowly going through it for the past week or so.

Already found 3 Goomba toys.

Took advantage of Gamestop's B2G1 and got some cheaper, more obscure PS3 titles. Working towards 200 PS3 games in my collection by year's end, getting fairly close with 6-months to go.

Also found Halo Wars and Halo Anniversary for $2 a piece.

Friday i finally got my Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness Collector's Edition (was a bit afraid since the french postal services noted on their website that it was delivered to me Thursday but i've got nothing that day, i was on the phone with them all day and the only thing i've heard from them was "Are you sure you have checked your mailbox ?" /faceplam ... no you're right i've probably checked my neighbor's mailbox  ???... they couldn't even tell me where was my package, it's not the first time it happens and that really start to annoy me  :-\). And then during the afternoon i come across a shop that was having a few sale on game, not a lot of stuff but i still got Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (PS4) for 10€ and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PS3) for 5€, the two of them were new and sealed.

And now i've just come back from a flea market with:

PC:
Blade Runner (0,50€ - sadly without the big box)
Enter the Matrix (1€ - CIB)
Pandemonium! (0,50€ - the "Jeu Intégral" on the top, who mean "Full Game", make me think that it probably came with a magazine but there is no indication anywhere on the case)
World of Warcraft (Still sealed - i've got it for free with the comics below)

PS1
Duke Nukem (1€ - CIB)
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (0,50€ - CIB)

GBA
Ace Combat Advance (2€ - it's sealed and i wonder if it's just a reseal, i have already seen those "Compatible Nintendo DS" sticker on games in shop a few years ago, in any case the box is mint)

And my last purchase was from a man who was selling a few comics, i'm absolutely not into comics but The Darkness interested me since i really like the games and i find the cover for Dark Reign pretty cool, he was selling them as a lot for 5€ so i took the lot (he even trow a World of Warcraft still sealed with it when i asked if he had any game to sell, he apparently got it since it was popular a few years ago but never had the time to even open and try it).

Its been two weeks of pick ups, the last few weeks I've been sick off and on and been busy with real life drama.  :-\
I did go out and hit some garage sales a few last week and a few this week.

First my store / online pick ups...

PS4
- Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness - Collector's Edition
- Republique - Contraband Edition
- Grand Kingdom - Limited Edition with Grand Edition
- Skylanders Trap Team - Starter Set (on clearance for $10)
Saw this exclusive PS4 game and ordered it and the statue it came with is extremely fragile, The statue was not packaged well and it was broken in several pieces. I complained to the web site and they replaced the statue within a week.
- Anima: Gate of Memories - Collector's Edition (EU)

XBone
- Mighty No.9 - Signature Edition

Wii U
- Mighty No.9
- Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE - Special Edition

VITA
- Grand Kingdom - Limited Edition

3DS
- Farming Simulator 14 (on clearance for $9)

XB360
Found these games on clearance for $10 a piece.

- Alien Isolation
- The Wolf Among Us

PS2
Saw this at a used game store for $3.
- Mystic Heroes

NES
Picked up a couple cool looking homebrews.
- The Legends of Owlia
- The LJN Defender

And now the garage sales...

Found a sale that had a box full of these Game Boy Color Pokemon toys from Burger King, I picked out one of each color and got all of them for $5.

NDS
I stop at a community sale and I get all no's when I ask about games, but the very last sale I ask and the older gentleman and he says He thinks he has something and pulls out some NDS and a few Wii games. I only found 2 NDS worth getting.
- Dragonball Z: Attack of the Saiyans ($3)
- Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker ($3)

Wii
- My Baby: First Steps ($1)

PS1
Saw a sale advertise PS1 & PS2 games, I get there and I see a stack of games and only found one game worth picking up.
- Grand Theft Auto 2 ($2)

One day I was out a while and finding nothing. I finally find a sale and when I ask about games the lady says se might have some Game Boy Games. She brings out several GB, GBC & GBA games. She tells me she wants Ebay prices so her son can buy a Laptop. While there where some decent games, nothing I wanted to pay full price for. The very next sale I find a stack of Wii games and a couple Game Boy games. They want $3 each on the Wii games and $1 each for the GB games.
Wii
- The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
- Red Steel
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Mario Party 8
- Super Paper Mario
GB
- Toy Story

GBC/GBA
I stop at a random sale and when I ask about games the guy said he had nothing but there was another sale just up the street that might have something. I find the sale and see nothing, I ask about games and one of the ladies says she has something in her car. She brings out a Game Boy Case, I open it and find a Lime Green Game Boy Color and a Purple GBA with 15 GBA games and 16 GBC games. Most of the games where scrap games but a few gems where there. I ask a price and she doesn't know what to ask so she asks her friend and she don't know so she asks me, I start with $20 and she says $25 and I pay the woman. lol

I get there and find nothing. but I see there's another sale down the street. I get there and the lady ask hows it going and I say "Not good, I can't find anything today." She asks what I was looking for and I say Video games and her son yells I got some! He pulls a tub from under a table and its full of gaming randomness. I pull out many Genesis games, a boxed Gamecube with two games. There was a PS2 and Xbox with some games but nothing I wanted. I ask anything else? and the kid says he has a Super Nintendo at home. My eyes light up and I ask him to go get it. He tells me he lives 15 minutes away. I think crap hes not going to get it and I'll end up giving him my number and he'll never call. I ask if he's willing to get it? I tell him I'll wait. He goes and asks his mom if she could take him home to get it and she agrees.  :) I wait for about 20 minutes and the kid returns with a SNES with 3 controllers and all hook ups, and a bag FULL of games, not just for SNES, but for NES and N64 too. I pile everything together and ask a price for it all. They think a minute and ask me, I say $45 and they agree to it.  ;D

Green = puke, just sayin.

LOL.  I always said and have stuck to "I will not buy another Xbox console."  But getting it for free opened the door to play a lot of games that are exclusive.  The Soul Calibur IV?  I picked it up for my Star Wars games collection since it has Yoda in it.   :P

And as a bonus, a few of the games I bought used had unused codes in the packages.  I got a TJ Combo code in Killer Instinct that wasn't used and Quantum Break's free Alan Wake package was unused as well.  Even though I own two copies of Alan Wake that work on the 'bone already, the dlc pack came with both expansions which the retail games didn't include.  So it's a win-win.

I'm still highly annoyed about the install process the Xbox One uses.  It doesn't matter if the game has an update when you stick the disc in, you might as well go ahead and tell it to update while installing.  Because unless you disconnect your Ethernet or Wi-Fi and take the 'bone offline, it's not going to let you play the game anyway after you install it.  I'm used to just putting the game in, telling it "ok" to install & update and just changing the channel to boob-tube or playing the PS4.  If I were buying a game and expecting to play it that first day or heaven forbid-midnight for a special launch....let's just say I would be really pissed waiting for the damn thing to install.

LOL that's what I thought when I found it at a flea market a few years ago. It is just unplayable to be blunt. You can't see what you're doing half the time, the controls are terrible, and you'll be dead before you're even able to do anything. I played it for about 20-minutes and pretty much decided I would get rid of it as soon as possible.

I've been finding a lot of $10 PS4 games these days.  Can't hurt to pick up a few of those.

Watch Dogs
Diablo III
Call of Duty: Shoot Shit Up XXIIVV
Wolfenstein: The New Order

I also grabbed Witcher 3 for my brother since he bought a PS4. All of those were $10 each.  Wow

Then I bought the next Limited Run Games Release, Octodad.  The next two will be in the mail soon.  I'm going to try to get all of the PS4 releases.

Didn't get much done this weekend, but I picked up my first ever CD-i games

PS3 went YLOD again, so I ran it to the shop and hit the Goodwill down the road, found Wheel of Fortune for $2 and said, eh, it makes the trip seem less meaningless if I come home with something.

CD-i
Power Hitter
Palm Springs Open

PS2
Wheel of Fortune

PS3
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2

3DS
The Hidden

Also got some other games in the mail, but I can't quite recall.

Where did you find Diablo III for $10?  I've been jonesing to play that again!   :'(

Facebook yard sale groups.  I've just been getting lucky I guess.  Folks are looking to get some quick cash.

I love this time of year.  There are all these current gen games for sale real cheap.  Folks get their tax refund in February and blow it on games and electronics.  Then, in the middle of summer they're hurting for cash again.  I don't care to throw them a few bones for to help them keep the lights on.

Others poor choices = cheap stuff for the responsible folks.

Ah, good old yard sales.  I thought there was a slight chance GameStop was running a special.   :'(  I also need to find me a copy of Call of Duty:  Shoot shit up XXIIVV.  Don't think I have that one!   :P

So I ordered this off of eBay despite the bad reviews. (It was dirt cheap, so no big loss if it is bad.)

I loved the Genesis entries in the series so much that I just had to experience it for myself and form my own opinion regarding it.

Hell, I've loved games that have been panned before (Viking: Battle For Asgard, also a Sega game from the same era), so I might like it.

Pokemon Red (with a mint sticker and working battery)

SNES:
American Gladiators
Mario Paint (w/the Mouse)
Tetris/ Dr. Mario

N64:
WWF Warzone

Not bad only spent 25 bucks today. I'd say it was a good haul.

went spelunking into thrift stores today because... because, i guess.

was a good day to, apparently, as i found a bunch of $1 pc (and a couple ps1) games complete
got really excited over the max payne... with the mousepad still in the box. noice.

max payne (with mousepad) (PC)
unreal tournament 2004 cib (PC)
...UT2004's box had unreal 2's discs in there, and unreal's manual, too, so that was cool.
namco museum vol 1 (PS1)
a bug's life (ps1)
half-life (PC)
quake ii (PC)
tetris worlds (PC)

spent $7 on these

i ALMOST had a tony hawk and battlefield game on ps3, but the goodwill had wisened up to games coming in and had priced them at like $6. i ain't buying games i don't want for $6.

this haul broke me into 300+ territory. awww yis. onto 500 i go~

I had gone to Best Buy first, but saw none there.  Don't know if that store got any or not.  Toys R Us on the other hand had at least a half dozen of these ones sitting out on the table and a good dozen of the others and I walked in there at like 4pm.  Seems like there should be good enough stock for it, though easiest is probably just grabbing them on Amazon as they are still in stock.

I really do think the Splatoon Amiibos might be some of the best ones they've made.  Really great detailing and design.

I'm probably not covering everything, and this is how my inventory gets out of whack.  Some stuff isn't pictured.

Boring story time.  Hit one of the first yard sales and was looking through a box of board games and found a Rick and Morty Puzzle from a loot crate.  Bought that and a Doctor Who Sonic Spork.  Chatted with them a bit.  Went to another yard sale and was looking around and glanced into their garage and saw a giant display case with CIB game systems.  I asked if they collect and the lady was just like oh that's my husbands stuff I have no clue about that stuff.  He wasn't there, so I assume he was out hitting yard sales stealing all mah finds.  I want to be impressed because his display case was large, but it was common stuff like Genesis and Super Scope and Plain N64... PLUS he stores it out in his garage where it isn't insulated and it's 100 degrees all times of the year.  I've never understood the people in this city who turn their garage in to a "man cave" other than the fact that the term matches because it is very caveman.

Amiibo
Callie and Marie

A Nintendo Wii with all hookups and 2 controllers for $5.

- WWF Wrestlemania 2000
- Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero
- Goldeneye 007

I stopped at a random sale and see one game on the table, and when I asked price they tell me .25c.  :o

So I stop there as soon as she opened and I see a stack of games and a controller I ask a price for it all and she said $5.

- SNES controller
NES
- Magmax
- Dig Dug II (x2)
- Circus Caper
- Metroid
- Super C

I stop at a sale and ask about games, the lady said that someone just came and bought her old Nintendo  :-\ I see another sale next door and figure it too was already hit and I would find nothing, I see a PS2 with no games, I ask about games and she said her husband had some Playstation games. She goes to ask him and he brings out about 6 PS1 games. I picked out and ask a price and was told $1 each. I ask if he had anything else and he says no, but his wife asks him about that old game in the basement. He thinks a second and says He'll go look. He comes out with a large tub. I open it and see a Colecovision, Atari Expansion, Steering Wheel Expansion and a ton of games for both Colecovision & Atari 2600. I ask a price for it all and at first he says $60. While not a bad price at all, I wanted a lower price. I ask if he'd go $30 and He says yes.

- Ms. Pac-Man
- Jr. Pac-Man
- Donkey Kong
- Mouse Trap (x2)

And the last pick up I had. I ask about games and the lady says she has an old Nintendo and she'll ask her husband. He comes out and tells me he's not ready to sell it. He starts asking me about video games and we get to talking about classic games, my collection and other gaming stuff and he asks me if I would be interested in a Zelda box. I wasn't sure what he was talking about so I ask to see it. He brings out an old Nintendo Mini Ceder Cheat from the 80s. I remember seeing this as a kid. I ask a price and he says $3 and I pay the man.  ;D

That's a really cool chest, it's a great find (and yes i'm a bit jealous too :P).

I've got a few things from a garage sale this morning:

PC
First i found a lot of 5 big box for 5€ (so 1€ each):

Dark Earth (CIB) (there is nothing to hide but still i preferred to cover the woman chest on the photo, i find it a bit too much)
Hidden & Dangerous (CIB)
Megarace 2 (CIB)
The Longest Journey (CIB) a big box for one of my favorite game... and now i have five different version of that game, i hate myself  :-\
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness (CIB) (a "limited version", let just call it a demo, was also inside. It have is own box and barcode, and apparently contain a few levels created exclusively for that version, i have to test that)

And he also had two other pc games for 0,50€ each:
Legion (CIB)
Le Seigneur des Anneaux: La Guerre de L'anneau (LOTR: War of the Ring) (no manual)

PS2
The Sopranos: Road to Respect (CIB - 1€)

And for free with it i got a DVD Player version 2.10 for PS2, i didn't what it was but apparently it was just used to update the DVD player.

I've also found a few CD but nothing based on games (1€ for the three) and the Record of Lodoss War: The Legend of Crystania on VHS for free (i already own it on DVD, i try to get rid of the few VHS i still own and yet i still took them ::))

Fighterpilot gave me a chest like that. I use it to store all of my controllers. I like the ColecoVision haul! Hope it all works!

Spent the last week camping in a mountain full of redwoods. On the way back we stopped at a game store we'd never been to before and I picked up all this stuff...

Sega Saturn
Spot Goes to Hollywood (CIB)

PS3
Lost (sealed)
FF XIII Guidebook

GBA
LEGO Knights Kingdom

SNES
Super Return of the Jedi

N64
Memory Expansion
Game Shark

Genesis
6 button arcade stick (x2)

Looked it all up on eBay afterwards to price compare.

I saved $45 off what it would have cost me to get all the above from eBay.

I don't know what it is.  I can't put my finger on it.  but man, I have always loved me some Halo!  Having no experience with Halo 5's multiplayer and knowing zero of the layout of the maps, I've been averaging 12 kills per match on my first day playing.  This series has always just clicked with me.  This also transferred over to Destiny (also by Bungie) where when I was really invested in it, I was in the top 2-3 every match across both teams.

went into a goodwill today to dick around
didn't expect to find an og xbox sitting around in there.
$15, no controller, but ayyy lmao, those aren't hard to come across. they had a beat up 360 controller for $5, but w/e.

IT WORKS.
happy birthday to me from goodwill i guess lmao. been wanting one of these fucks for a while. i remember in 2002 when my brother got one and it was like THE SHIT, it was the first console i'd ever seen and was like woaaaaaa that shit looks soooo cooool. i don't give a fuck what anyone says, the og xbox has a cool as shit console design. it's badass. i remember when we got it it was like... WE AIN'T A NINTENDO KIDDY BOX. (lmao that said, i got a gamecube, then later a ps2)
i got about 2 hrs of halo playtime (i was really struggling with dual sticks then) and about 1.5 hrs of blinx back then before my brother whisked it away into his cave, never to be seen again except very short glimpses from the doorway. i heard it plenty tho... maybe got an additional 3 hrs total of JSRF, so i want that back too FOR SURE. in fact, that's why i wanted one like a plague.
anyway, i remember being blown away from it back then... i was sorely disappointed in ps1 and n64's graphics. but the xbox blew my goddamn mind. first of the 6th gen consoles i got to see in action. that neon green was unlike anything before it, and it just... gahhh. booting this fucker back up really brought back some good feelings, man. there i was, adamantly blowing off the n64 and still playing yoshi's island and super mario rpg and shit, then that fucking comes into our house with its neon lighting effects and what felt like near flawless graphics... i was 8? 9? either way, i was shitting a brick.

not so much now i'd bet but i now have all that gen's consoles, so that's neato as fuck. i'm $-4.32 levels of broke now, but ayyy lmao, i get paid in two days so w/e w/e.

now to get my hands on a copy of blinx the time sweeper and a controller. yessss. better run off and go beg anon image boards for their lists of hidden gems.

...oh and i got a job at gamestop today too. i'm just looking for managerial positions then i'll swoop in and stop being a low-end min wage sack of shit everywhere.

i also put down a preorder for 7th dragon iii code the other day, i just didn't mention it. i'll grab it wednesday.

expect me back in here in the next few days, tho. i plan to go blow my load locally since this pay cheque, i get to blow the whole lot on whatever i want.
i've already nailed some purchases down in the near future, just gotta wait to get my cash then i'll do it.

I don't know if you collect mostly just to have it and don't play all of them (some people do, some don't), but Song of the Deep is a surprisingly well made game of exploration.  Once you get accustomed to the floaty controls (they should be that way...you are in a submarine after all!), you can really become immersed in the games atmosphere and story.

A blue Game Gear console in decent shape that only required a new soundboard which I had on hand.

just as i complained in general that i was losing my desire to touch thrift stores... i guess i thought on it and decided i was done with the big name ones like goodwill (who ships all their shit off to shopgoodwill.com anyway ugh)
those places are quickly becoming trash heaps. just trash ends up in them now.

local ones tho...

i went into salvation army first, broke my 'gotta get blinx the time sweeper first' rule, because i found JSRF. got that and halo 1 for $2.
left, went down the street, nothing. went across town where i'd never been before. things got p interesting.
(found a UK flag mug... they had it in a 'free' cart outside. i offered to pay, the lady was like noooo, it's been in shop for months... go figure, but it turns out that a bunch of black people in the ghetto aren't interested in the UK flag on their coffee mug lmao
or it was a great visual brexit pun, but i doubt it)
found gran turismo for playstation. the case and manual are in perfect condition. ...no game tho. i showed them the shrinkage, they gave me the case and stuff for free since "it probably came like that"... i actually agreed this time, because it was vvv hard to see between a fuckload of CDs. stolen shit is just tossed back on top, usually, or on the edges.
there was a perfect condition, no wires, no controller, PS1 back there, too, and by perfect, i mean goddamn pristine. but $25 price tag? fuck that. yet another shop wanting too much for retro garbage. NES sports games for $3 a pop? lmao no. ps1 for $25, no cords, no controller? okay lmao.
in shrink wrap they had the metal gear saga vol 2 with the DVDs. $1. that, i grabbed.

had 40 minutes to kill before work, went to a pawn shop. most of it was overpriced. except a copy of zelda: twilight princess on the wii.
they wanted $4.
it is complete and in perfect condition.
okay.jpeg.

way better than it's been the past week hitting the main ones other than the xbox original.

Picked up some cheap-o games from GS.

Dead Space 2 Limited Edition with that DS Extraction goodness (PS3)
Golden Axe Beast Rider (360)
Brutal Legend (360)
Stormrise (360)
Rogue Warrior (360)
Ghost Recon (Wii)
Acme Arsenal (Wii)
Legend of the Dragon (Wii)

I had a pretty shitty run in with a shitty GS employee the other day.

I was kind of confused by the whole thing.  The store I normally go to, just about everybody knows me, at least by face, because I'm in there frequently buying up tons of cheap trash.  He tells one of the regular employees not to ring me up so he can.  This is the same guy who sent my preorder back to corporate because I didn't pick it up (It wasn't available on release day and they never called me to let me know it finally arrived).  Same guy who screwed a lady over about her 20% off coupon.  He tells me I can't return my online order because the order date was 8 days ago, I told him that I literally just had it delivered to my house an hour ago and that I could show him the tracking.  But he refused to hear it.  I said fine and left.  I actually had a bunch of cheapo games I wanted to buy, but I really really didn't want to be in the store so I left, deciding I'd come back the next day when he probably wasn't there.  Also, that I might drive to the next closest store and have a chat with the district manager about both issues this employee has caused.  I used to work with the DM back when I worked at GS, so I'd like to think he doesn't think I'm just some shitty customer complaining.  But when I went into the store the other day, the manager came out and explained to me that the employee wouldn't be giving me any more shit, because he explained to him that I'm a regular.  I guess you have to be a regular customer to not be treated like shit?  I'm still gonna go have a chat with the DM about this guy's horrible work ethic.

this is so weird to me. i'm a delivery driver, not a manager, but i still override shit at my work all the damn time. i have to get manager approval, but if someone so much tells me their crust was slightly doughy, i apologise profusely (regular or not, i'm shitty with faces, i don't care) and tell them i'll work it out. either make them a replacement if they have the time to spare or i'll credit them.
it usually goes through because i have unofficial manager status, i just am under a severe glass ceiling for bigotry reasons. (hate using the card, but it's true, everyone knows it)
shit, on deliveries, i've dug in my pocket for cash then told a manager and got the refund for it. because shit really does happen in the industry that you have to resolve on the spot. delivery drivers, the ones who are good (and i'm top notch shit in this industry, apparently, considering i get jobs thrown at me, have my name in 5-star google reviews and get jobs within a day) are basically on the road managers. that's part of our job. you don't become the best by being an argumentative worker.

at gamestop i'll do no different, because fuck that. if i get fired, lmao, who cares, it's fucking gamestop. min wage shit job i only want for discounts.
you don't keep customers coming in by being a shithead. and it's usually easily resolved without much a fight. and i've had gamestop employees routinely take day-old returns (8 day) without a fuss. the system won't deny it. the 7-day policy has to be upheld by associates. and this was even before i was a regular at all the local ones.

Price mods at GS don't even require a manager.  Fun fact, I've had GAs and Managers sell me shit for dirty fucking cheap just to move product.  Some of the highest rated managers in my region would do this all the time, and they not only don't get in trouble for it, usually they get commended for it.  My manager sold Babysitting Mama brand new for $5 because he didn't want it in his store, corporate was so impressed they sent him more copies of Babysitting Mama.  Kind of counter productive, and corporate knew he sold them at that price, but his store's throughput and profitability was high.  Seriously, if you get good GAs and Managers, you can get discounts on all sorts of shit.  Damaged goods discounted.  Any of those CEs you see up along the ceiling with big stickers that look clearanced, good chance the Manager or a SGA will sell it to you for an even bigger discount.  I did that with the CoD Ghosts with the HD camera and South Park Stick of Truth Wizard edition.  But on that same note, the folks that will do these discounts absolutely hate it when all you do is ask for discounts, pick your battles, you might win some big ones.  I buy shit at my gamestops all the time, so the stores that have employees that recognize me usually cut me some deals.  USUALLY.

I believe the policy on online orders is seven days from delivery date.  I would have lost my cool on that guy and told him I'd smash his fucking teeth down his throat.  I don't care for smartasses, especially some punk bitch working behind a GameStop counter.
I did get a little upset, but I forgot my receipt for a different game I needed to return so I knew I'd come back the next day regardless.  The first time I met this dude he was talking to me about how he used to work at the Mall downtown.  This is one of those malls that only has paid parking, you know like $20 for the day parking or $10 for an hour.  My mind goes straight to the fact that all this guy has dealt with on the job is tourists and folks from Mexico who barely speak English being royal douchebags.  So I want to cut him some slack, but I think I'm a pretty cool dude, who also happens to spend a lot of money in your store, which makes you look good, so don't treat me like shit.

blinx the time-sweeper for OG xbox.
xbox controller i seriously overpaid for, but he's the only guy in town who has an OEM xbox controller at all, and i hate buying used controllers without being able to test their general feel beforehand.
edit: taking this back, the ABXY buttons don't work. got through the time/date screen via start buttons to see if the xbox read discs. it does. so the system is working. taking the controller back tho for sure within the next couple days.

local store owner had just restocked inventory wednesday, he got another copy of blinx in, in perfect condition. happy as fuck about that, his other copies were kinda battered.
we had a chat shitting on unofficial CL resellers and thrift store sharks, it was p cool.

haven't decided if i'll go hunting flea market/yard sales before i go to sleep for the night yet. if i don't, i won't have another pick up for a while.

this is so weird to me. i'm a delivery driver, not a manager, but i still override shit at my work all the damn time. i have to get manager approval, but if someone so much tells me their crust was slightly doughy, i apologise profusely (regular or not, i'm shitty with faces, i don't care) and tell them i'll work it out. either make them a replacement if they have the time to spare or i'll credit them.
it usually goes through because i have unofficial manager status, i just am under a severe glass ceiling for bigotry reasons. (hate using the card, but it's true, everyone knows it)
shit, on deliveries, i've dug in my pocket for cash then told a manager and got the refund for it. because shit really does happen in the industry that you have to resolve on the spot. delivery drivers, the ones who are good (and i'm top notch shit in this industry, apparently, considering i get jobs thrown at me, have my name in 5-star google reviews and get jobs within a day) are basically on the road managers. that's part of our job. you don't become the best by being an argumentative worker.

at gamestop i'll do no different, because fuck that. if i get fired, lmao, who cares, it's fucking gamestop. min wage shit job i only want for discounts.
you don't keep customers coming in by being a shithead. and it's usually easily resolved without much a fight. and i've had gamestop employees routinely take day-old returns (8 day) without a fuss. the system won't deny it. the 7-day policy has to be upheld by associates. and this was even before i was a regular at all the local ones.

i've never been discounted a game there, wtf :c
in all the years i've known some of these fucks they've never given me shit for a cheaper price or even let me know about penny outs.
most of them are so tired of their job, tho, that they probably just dont' feel like bringing anything pennied out up front, tbf tho
and discount? lmao never.

Most folks dont understand that they can do that.

The ones that do dont for fear of getting in trouble.

Pennied items are weird, i have never had a run in about pennied products where employees werent weird about it.  They are always super cautious and timid about letting you take pennied stuff.  Sku conversions are the best, most employees dont even know about that unless they have actively taken part in that.  I have only managed to get in that a few times because employees have no clue what i am talking about.

flea market was 99% bust. i saw a fucking cursed crusade copy, but it was sun damaged as fuck and they wanted $18 for that shit. fuck that.

i did nail a $5 copy of darksiders 2 ps3... limited edition. with the comic in the cardboard slip cover. pretty fucking sweet, it goes for a bit more at gamestop iirc, and it had the comic. DLC code too, but no idea if it works. i'll have to try it out on psn store tomorrow or w/e. this reseller was pretty chill, but his pricing was erratic. $10 star fox 64, then wanted like... $12 for a wiimote idek. all those fucking things came straight from goodwill, too, i could tell.

oh, and got solicited for sex by some old fuck who grabbed his package. and then got jesus'd by some other guy who i couldn't cut the convo off with. i cannot redeem a 'jesus died for your sin' slip of paper for vidya... or tip cash, either. i also turned down the generous offer of old man dick. this rainbow beanie i have is a double-edged sword.

yard sales were also bust except one guy... who was swept clean of games except a lonely copy of skyrim on the 360. i bought 2 doctor who dvds (OLD series, 1950-1960 episodes) and a godzilla double feature blu-ray off him... $5. he tossed in the skyrim too (CIB, with skyrim map, feel bad for it looking at the cost now), so that was neat. he had a metric fuckload of comics, but had his spawn multiples at home. and even then, i'd have to cough up a pretty penny for those, so maybe one day. dude was cool, he told me about a way better flea market.

it seems resellers here are assholes tho, everyone i asked if they had games, they sighed heavily and said no (except the last guy). idk if i want to bother with yard sales again, it's very cold reception and i hate that feeling that i did something wrong.
i bought a novel from one tho, i'll read it here and there, some mystery novel about a fantasy rpg. sounded neat, so w/e. it was a dollar.

Most folks dont understand that they can do that.

The ones that do dont for fear of getting in trouble.

my old gm used to hold all the pennied items for my shift, and she still wouldn't let me take it all. i understand why, tho, because the resell market. one of each basically.
idk.

- The Itchy & Scratchy Game
- Crash Bandicoot

Odyssey 2
A cool homebrew limited to 100 copies.
- Death Race

Channel F
- Video Whizball

Now onto the garage sales...

A Spongebob Squarepants Plug & Play brand new in the box for $2.

A Pac-Man card game for $1.

PC
I don't usually even look at PC games, but I know this is a popular game and figured someone would want it.
- Diablo II (CIB - $3)

Wii
Got all 3 of these games for $5.
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Go Play City Sports

PS1
I ask about games and they bring out a bunch of PS1 games, mostly children's games and sport games. I did find one worth getting.
- 40 Winks ($1)

GBA/GB
I asked about video games and the lady asked her son if he had anything and he said he had a Game Boy He brings out a stack of games then goes back in, he then brings out a GBA SP (charcoal 101) I ask about the charger and he goes back in and brings out the charger. I ask a price for it all and I hear him say $10, his mom tells him its worth more but he says He doesn't want it and he didn't care. Here's the games it came with.
GBA
- Super Mario Advance
- Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2

PS1
- Primal Rage
SNES
- Michael Jorden: Chaos in the Windy City
GB

N64
I Asked about video games at 2 separate sales and both said they had a Nintendo but didn't want to sell it. I asked if they would sell any of the games they didn't play and they both went in and brought out a stack of N64 games. The first brought out these 4 games and at first they wanted $20 but I got him to accept $10.
- Spider-Man
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
- Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2
- F-Zero X
The next sale I asked she brought out a stack of games I was not expecting. Most of the time when they bring games they don't play they bring out games like the 1st sale. But she brought out these games and only wanted $5 for them all.

- Scooby-Doo! Classic Creep Capers
- Mario Tennis
- Yoshi's Story
- Super Mario 64
- Banjo-Kazooie
- Super Smash Bros.

I stopped at a sale and I see a bunch of crappy PS2 games on the table, I ask about any other games and they tell me sorry no. Then their neighbor asks me what I was looking for and I said pretty much anything and he asks if I would be interested in an Atari 7600, I saw ya sure and he goes to look for it. He comes out with a large bag. I look inside and see an Atari 7800 with pretty much all 2600 games. But at the bottom of the bag was also a Nintendo 64 with Ram Expansion and four games. Also was one loose DS game in there. I ask a price and he says $25 for the whole bag.  :D

Most notable finds:

Pink Panther Pinkadelic Pursuit PS1 complete for $24.95- surprisingly a great game and very hard to find complete
Monster Rancher 4 PS2 complete for $45
Contra III and Super Castlevania IV SNES for $70 total
Sonic Adventure DC for $10
Road Rash Complete in Long Box for $10
A bunch of common to uncommon cheap ps1 games that I've wanted to try: Johnny Bazookatone, Mort the Chicken, Hexen, Codename Tenka, MDK, etc... between $2 to $7 each.
Some cheap PS2 games and Portable Ops PSP for $5!

So not exactly garage sale prices but definitely good deals in the retro market I live in.

I'm been mostly a Playstation collector my whole life but I am starting to branch out into SNES and other cartridge based systems.

Hey all, I've decided to stop lurking from the shadows and start posting here.  This is my most recent haul from last Saturday.  My brother and I drove around and hit up all the retro stores in the area.

Most notable finds:

A Not for Resale copy of Jet Force Gemini N64 for $2.50
Pink Panther Pinkadelic Pursuit PS1 complete for $24.95- surprisingly a great game and very hard to find complete

Welcome to the forum!  Sounds like a pretty cool haul and you can't go wrong with PlayStation games!   :P  You might want to check deeper into that not for resale copy of Jet Force Gemini.  It's possible it was a demo cart and they can bring in big money!  I just don't ever remember a not for resale copy of that game that was ever bundled with a system.

Welcome to the forums! Great haul! I love finding PS1 games at weird thrift stores because they're often tucked in with music CDs and, because of that, are cheap! Also, nice work with finding PO PSP! So difficult to find decent PSP games in the wild...

Nice find on that Castlevania IV, apparently any Castlevania game after 2 is considered "obsecure".  :p

Thanks man.  I've been digging into that Jet Force Gemini copy and found this rad article that talks about the differences.

Apparently there are a lot of weird minor changes and it's definitely a demo cart.  Might try to trade it to someone at a retro expo who collects nfr carts like this.

Totally! I'm the same way.  A lot of the games were in a glass case and I made him pull out 20-30.  Clearly games that have sat there for months.  They have now found a loving home who appreciates all of their quirks and bizarre concepts for games.

There's a few retro stores in my area that have pretty decent PSP selection.  Their prices have never been lower and now's the time to swipe em up before they get too expensive.

Thanks.  Yeah this one overpriced store I went to wanted $75 for castlevania IV.  Just absurd.

^ I'd say we're on the bubble with PS1. While you can find many games for cheap still, there's plenty of games that are starting to climb in value, a lot, on PS1. I had my eye on Einhander, for example, for too long. It's now approaching $100 on average.

So get em now before everyone else catches on.

PS2 and original XBox games are practically worthless, though. I can find most of those for about $5 a pop.

I totally agree.  My area way over values cartridge games to the point where every retro game store overvalues games $10-25 over average ebay prices.  I'm quickly realizing as I enter the world of SNES that everything I have to buy will have to be through CL, Ebay and Offer Up- (which is where I got contra and castlevania iv)

But ps1 just slips under the radar, I catch them sleeping on prices all the time.  Just a few weeks ago, I got a mint copy of Clock Tower II for $45.  It's like they don't even care that these games are valuable. I'll gladly capitalize on it before they get smart.

I went to a pawn shop last weekend and I saw a copy of snowboard kids 2 for n64 with no price tag and when I asked for the price just cause I was curious, the guy jumped down my throat thinking I was going to try to lowball him.  It's just crazy.  And he wanted $55 for it.  That's over ebay pricing.  This pawn shop just spams craigslist saying they'll buy cartridges and they just try to flip 'em for way over asking.  Super lame.  Their selection sucked so I get the feeling that many people feel the same way about them.  But they don't give a shit about ps1 or any cd based stuff.  I just don't get it.

Right now is the time to buy PS2 and Xbox too, most of the retro stores around me just want to get rid of all of it so they can make room for cartridge games.  There are a few ps2 games I still want to get on my list that are very pricy, .hack quarantine, kuon, echo night beyond, obscure but I have most of the other valuable ones I want.

I just saw a mint copy of Einhander for 73 at a shop last weekend so there's still hope to get it below 100.  I occasionally see some Buy it Now's on ebay for 75.

Too true on PS2 and Xbox games.  Most can be had dirt cheap.  The highest priced Xbox game I have seen is Conker Live & Reloaded which can be had for $35 on average for a complete, good condition copy.  I just picked up Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Voodoo Vince, both new/sealed in pristine packaging for under $15 each.  Most of the best games can be found for under $10 complete in great shape.  About the priciest Xbox games I have purchased (aside from Conker which I HAVEN'T bought yet) are some of the Star Wars games like Knights I & II and the pair of Battlefront games.  A lot of that is due to the renewed interest in Star Wars since the Disney acquisition.

This is pretty much the only reason why my PS2 and Xbox collections are so large, because nobody wants to hold on to them.  It's a dead market right now.  PS3 and 360 are dying, stores are already discounting titles, in a year or so, it'll be the perfect time to pick them up cheap.

I'd say we're already there, with 360 at least. I've already been filling in my XBox 360 collection with cheap titles. Most of my wishlist for 360 has been crossed off, and most of them acquired for under $10. I can list what I have left on my 360 wishlist right here, it's so small:

-Armored Core 4
-Blur
-Lost Odyssey
-Prototype 2

Ended up finding a guy on Offer Up last night willing to sell most of his SNES collection to my brother and I.

My brother ended up with Earthbound, Super Castlevania IV, Legend of Zelda Link to the past and F Zero for $220

and I got Castlevania Dracula X, Ghoul Patrol, Super Metroid, Mega Man Soccer, Earthworm Jim 1 +2 and TMNT Tournament Fighters for $280.

Definitely pricey, but well below market value.  Best part is he's got more games and is letting me have first dibs on anything he decides to sell.

He also said he had some repros- Front Mission: Gun Hazard, Bahamut Lagoon, Star Fox 2, Clock Tower and probably others.  I know little to nothing about repros and how to value them.  Anyone got advice (Mostly interested in Clock Tower and Front Mission, but if he offers me a good deal, I might just take em all) on how much I should be willing to pay for a repro or a good site for assessing their value?  It doesn't look like Price Charting has any listings for repros.  I usually use eBay recent sold listings for market value, is that sufficient for the repro market?   And maybe also a guideline to ensure the cart is quality and will hold up long-term?

Oh and I met the guy near a gamestop so I ended up heading there afterwards and got Dragon Quest IX DS, Final Fantasy III DS and Devil's Third WII U all complete for around $45 bucks total.  I had a 20% off coupon and used some reward coupons.  The gamestops around me are flooded with CIB DS games and most of them are in mint condition and super cheap.  Now's the time to buy their stash before it runs dry!

The PS3 is the same way.  There are games marked as low as <$1 at GameStop now.  Many are around the $2-3 price range.  Most are sub-$15 now.  A great place to look for games that aren't particularly special and/or valuable right now is eBay.  I've been seeing sellers with whole cases of games dirt cheap.  There was one I came across with new/sealed copies of Modern Warfare 3 for the 360 for $3.63 each w/free shipping.

Indeed but always took pictures of those digital titles that I purchase, have to admit that I do love more the physical copies but since some of them never got a physical release and that some times there are very good deals at the store decided to get as much as I can  ;)

og xbox is so fucking cheap i've put it on my radar along with ps3 for a while because it's SO cheap. i cannot for the life of me figure out why. not complaining tho. no game on it seems to retail far over $20, even the obscure ones. and there's a lot i missed on it. multiplat games from the gen are cheaper on it too and often run in 480p unliek their ps2 counterparts. lovely console.
ps2 games are climbing in price tho and obscure jrpgs are expensive as shit for it.
but og xbox? i expect my og xbox collection to explode in the near future, because the games are SO CHEAP.

The fact that there's lots of great exclusives/ multiplats for cheap and no way in the near future to emulate the Xbox console shows that it's probably a good time to start building up on that collection; I've already been trying to do that in the last month or so.

The X360 backwards compatability is pretty poor for the titles it supports, so I believe that once more people realize this, prices will continue to rise.

I'm not sure how much or fast that will be considering the nostalgia of the Xbox is pretty low compared to Nintendo or Sony.

i'm sure it's coming tho because the generation that kinda grew up on that are... getting older y'know?
tho i did have one kid at work, he's like 18, 5 years younger than me, ask me why the fuck i bought an og xbox and laughed at me. born in '98 so by the time he was really cognizant, it was at least '02/'03.

so maybe not.

i laughed back because og xbox is a pretty badass little console. and ayyyy, if i can snatch up all the good games now for like $5, fuckin please.
w/e w/e i have nostalgia for the xbox so i'll be more than happy to continue getting games i wanted back then, just never had.  p much have nostalgia over cinematech trailers, but whatever. there's a lot i wanted to play on it, just never had the chance

I'm not sure why the original XBox doesn't get more love. It was a great console. It had the best version of multiplatform games that generation, and had plenty of third-party support. And it had great exclusives between games like Halo 1 & 2, Morrowind, Fable, Jade Empire, Crimson Skies, and others. But more importantly, it was BY FAR, the best console that generation for online support or local multiplayer. And that built-in hard drive is quite nifty for modders and importers. No hardware changes needed because of that.

I lurve big box PC games but don't have many and have struggled to find them for about a year now, not so today, someone was clearing a collection of them. Picked up @ 20 boxed complete games for £1 each, mostly in superb cond., including:

Diablo
Empire of the Ants
SWIV 3D
Lords of Magic
SimTower
Metal Gear Solid
Iron Ships & Iron Men

and several others. Wanted a complete copy of Empire of the Ants for a little while now so really pleased with the haul! The only downside was that he had a copy of the Diablo: Hellfire strategy guide which I thought I'd picked up but seem to have somehow not bought or lost, and the box for Diablo: Hellfire is missing the game itself, but I'm happy to have bought the box for £1 considering how few will have survived.

Just got back from my vacation in Luxembourg. Picked up these two games along the way.

First I picked up Bejeweled Twist, because I like Bejeweled but never actually got to try any of the full games. I know this is a different twist (hue hue) on regular Bejeweled, but I loved the Beghouled mini-game in Plants vs. Zombies, so why not?

And then there's Walk with me! a.k.a. Personal Trainer: Walking, or Marche avec moi in French. I barely speak any French at all, but at least the game's in English, so I'll let it pass. And yes, I do have the other Activity Meter, but I'm using it right now. I mainly got this because it intrigued me ever since it's release. I mean, who at Nintendo was just thinking "Well, we managed to sell scales to the general public, let's try pedometers!"? But I liked the concept of titles like Wii Fit that encourage you to move more, and titles that give simple things you wouldn't associate with gaming a unique twist. And thanks to Pokémon GO, I'll probably get the high score on this game. :)

the same people who decided to slap the pokewalker together (heartgold/soulsilver, 2009), and made it so 3DS has streetpass + coins for walking? XD;
i mean, nintendo has been in this business of 'get the fuck up and move' for a while now ngl

it's too bad a lot of people who are obsessed with go don't also lug around their 3DS... still not a lot of streetpasses even in highly concentrated groups of go players >.>;;

Yeah, unless I know some one with the system or a TG16 modded to play imports, I can't play it. Oh well.

Strangely enough, that Gundam game in the picture was the first PS2 game I ever bought. IIRC, I bought it before I even bought my PS2. Then I got the PS2 and didn't like the game.

I thought I didn't need this amiibo stand, that it was abit silly, then I realized it makes "Shing" sounds when you put the sword stylus into the mount, and when you withdraw it, it does the Ocarina of Time time traveling music.  I soon realize I was the silly one for doubting it.  Also yes, I really need to dust my collection lol

Been kinda slow for garage sales around here the last couple weeks. We had a heat wave and then heavy rain.
But I did still find a few things.

My store / online buys...

Seems like several stores around my area where clearancing out their Disney Infinity stock sense it was announced that it was being discontinued. The figures here $4 each and the starter pack was $20.

XBone
- Elder Scrolls Online ($10)

PS4
- Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force - Collector's Edition

Wii U
A couple Wii U games on sale for $15 each.
- Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams
- The Wonderful 101

NDS
- Dream Pinball ($5)
- MTV Pimp My Ride: Street Racing ($1)

GBA
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance (CIB) $3

SAT
My local got in some CIB Sega Saturn games. And they where priced half what these go for online.
- Myst
- Creature Shock
- Criticom
- Hexen

GEN
- Super Battletank

GB/GBC
I also picked up a few Game Boy games from them.
- Dragon Dance
- Kirby's Star Stacker
- Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey

Now onto the few garage sale finds...

Wii
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii (loose but free)  :P
- Ghost Squad ($2)
- Mario Super Sluggers ($2)

XB360
Found these 3 360 games I was missing for $2 each.
- Dishonored - Game of the Year Edition
- Sniper Elite V2
- The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct

GC
As I walk up to this sale I see a reseller walking out. He tells me to leave there's nothing good here. I still look and find two games I was missing for $2.50 a piece.
- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
- The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

NDS
At a sale I see two NDS lots in baggies, I didn't have a Silver DS I asked if they would switch some of the games and they did. So I got this lot for $30. It had its charger and even a car charger. On top of that I find three loose games in one of the cases after I get home.
- New Super Mario Bros.
- Mario Kart DS
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
- Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
- Petz Nursery 2 (loose)
- Squinkies (loose)
- Super Princess Peach (loose)
- Garfield's Funfest (case & manual only)

I haven't really been feeling in the mood for hunting.  Too demoralized for yard sales and stuff.

Went to pick up breakfast Saturday morning and noticed the neighborhood next to mine was having their annual community yard sale.  WAY fewer people taking part this year.  I also didn't show up until nearly 10, so if anything was there, I know I missed it.  But there was a guy last year who sold me a CIB NES Challenge Set, NIB Satellite, and some CIB games for dirty cheap.  But he said he knew he had some more games and that he would look eventually and he would let me know.  He found a few games over the course of the next days and weeks.  But eventually he stopped texting me and never resolved whether or not he found some of the games he name dropped that he knew he had but hadn't yet found.  He wasn't out there, his wife/daughter was out there selling baby clothes and stuff and that's it.  So I sent him a text and haven't heard back, so I assume that's a bust.

My wife claimed she was going to make breakfast Sunday morning if I went to the store and bought groceries.  Spoiler, she didn't make breakfast, she even got mad at me because I didn't make breakfast fast enough.  Anyway, decided to go look at clearanced electronics.  Store had like 50 copies of LEGO City Undercover for Wii U for $24, decided to buy that because I don't think I'll find it cheaper than that anytime soon.  Also saw a couple of Xbox 360 S/E model 500GB Internal HDDs for $25.  Bought one of those for my wife's cousin because he has had the 4GB Arcade Slim model for a long time and can't play any DLC or Arcade games.  I'm considering going back and buying another one to upgrade my Gears 360 from a 320GB to 500GB.

Went to eat lunch with some of my wife's family at CiCi's pizza Sunday.  In the same shopping center was a DVD Exchange and a local Comic shop called Alien Worlds.  Went to Alien Worlds because some comic shops sell video games and I haven't been to an Alien Worlds since the one near me stopped doing Pokemon Tournaments and shut down and turned into a Gamestop.  No video games.  But with Pokemon GO coming out, my wife has been wanting to play Pokemon TCG a lot, so we went and bought sleeves and boxes so she can protect her decks.  Decided to pop into DVD Exchange because why not, but they never have good prices.  Surprisingly, most of the games were clearanced.  so I spent about $30.

Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions CIB(GCN)
Outlaw Golf NIB (GCN)
Leisure Suit Larry CIB (Xbox)
Rock the Dead CIB (360)
Dark Messiah CIB (360)
F1 World Grand Prix (N64)
Gubble (PS1)

Also got some goodies in the mail

Rocko's Modern Life (SNES)
Addams Family Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt (SNES)
LEGO Racers (N64)

I'm probably forgetting stuff like always.
