It's really just the old version of the the normal view, the updated version of the normal view, and the self view that are available. I should probably just have the two for consistency.

Thanks Jason! for the constant updates on VG Collect. I'm always using this site to check my collection and add items - always nice to see additional upgrades.

Just to check, on the 10th bullet point on your to do list it mentions: Add More Lists

Is this the same as on Matt's to do list?

Custom user lists - this will allow users to create custom lists within their collections

Just wondering since I remember reading before on the forums that a custom user list is in the works and that we can add items to further keep track of certain items within our collections.

Thanks Again  ;D

We're still working out all the details for this, but this is definitely a possibility. I'll try to provide another update soon with more details of what we have in mind.

Any chance we can add to the TODO list?:

being able to edit our collection (your stuff) from the item page

I second that request! Occasionally I'll want to update an item in my collection but don't want to click through pages of my collection to get to it.

Another idea to add - if not box art is available and game art is, show the game art instead.

On this page (https://vgcollect.com/proskier) - you can see it shows no art... but would be great for it to use the game image (if its there)

In this case (https://vgcollect.com/item/48594) it is:

This has been requested before if I'm not mistaken. The site is user driven and it's been my experience to see that a LOT of people submitting entries will only put the bare minimum to get the item listed for their collections and can't be arsed to fill in the fields...pictures especially whether it be front, back or cart/disc.  :P

Since Multi-Carts/Boots/Repros were brought up, I'd like to see an option that gives client side the ability to disable their viewing. For example, there can be an option in user settings such as "Enable/Disable Unofficial Releases" or something to that effect.  ;)

Can we get a fix on the item count badge so it works for all items?

Any action on the site or todo list?  Have not seen a post here in awhile.  Hope all is well.

Suggestion: I noticed the Developer and Publisher information are in a different order between the Item page and the Edit page (they're swapped around); it could be fixed for consistency. Not a big deal I know, but it shouldn't take much work anyways.

Keep up the great work Jason!

That may explain why the information is backwards on some entries as well (confusing page editors)

My current focus is working on the Android App and improving the user experience. At the moment, I'm specifically looking at making the lists render faster.

I'm still here. Working on some things behind the scenes at the moment. Hope 2022 is treating you all well or you're at least hanging in there through all that's going on.  :)

Yeah great to see you adding stuff as of late.  Great work - keep it up!  Every video game trade, buy, sale, etc. IRL - I spread the word.

I'm new to this site but I already love it. Thanks for the great work.

I saw in your to-do list that you are planning on adding more lists, will this also include the allowance for users to create their own list? For example, I'm collecting Namco games and I would like to have a list for the ones I already own so I can easily check when I'm out shopping for more.

Or this might have already been implemented and I'm too stupid to understand how to create lists. I apologize if that's the case.

I have yet to implement the custom lists, but we have added Backlog, Currently Playing, and Finished lists to the Collection, Wish List, and Sell Lists. For now, you could perhaps use a list you don't use (aforementioned) for that purpose for now. The name would just not properly reflect what it is for. I think many already do this with the Sell List in particular.

Isn't what you already own your collection?  aka main list?

Not at this time. You can put that type of info into the Notes field when you add an item into your collection.

Despite the amount of variations we cover, we are not interested in adding support for the following at this time:
- hub types on pressed discs
- IFPI or other disc ring information
- PCB revisions on carts or consoles
