Title: iOS App - Gauging Interest
Post by: jason on February 24, 2017, 09:48:36 pm: How much interest would there be in an iOS version of the App? I just wanted to get a feeling for what everyone would like.

Yeah, I'm mainly interested in the site being fully functional on mobile period. Don't need an app per-se.

But I mostly use the site when on the go. I haven't been on much because forums, adding games, etc. are kind of a chore on mobile/iOS.

My main use is to be able to quickly and easily search my collection to check if I have something while I'm out shopping and see something I'm not sure if I have.

Even if the app was just the ability to add games and edit collection I’d appreciate the easy access of adding games and game details on the go.

Either that, or change the way the collection is shown in the mobile version of the website. The problem I encounter in the wild is that I'll pull up VGC on my phone but I can't sort my collection by platform like on PC. So I have to scroll through the 50+ pages of my collection just to reach one title in the middle letters like "M" for instance, which is very time consuming.

Post by: lancer1977 on March 09, 2023, 11:50:30 am: Necro away. I think of some of my favorite features of other collecting apps and a big one is ease of barcode scanning in games. If the website was able to hook into the camera for that it would be cool, otherwise re-exploring an app would be an interesting idea.
