I'm going to use this more as a general wishlist for game continuations.

1. A new proper Metroid game. Prime/2D either is fine at this point.
2. A new console Pokemon game in the vain of XD and Colosseum. Shadow Pokemon, Double battles etc.
3. New Mega Man game. Legends, X, ZX, Battle Network I'm down for about anything at this point.
4. A New proper Chibi-Robo game.
5. Lastly, I would like D4 to actually be finished. I'm aware of the whole debacle with Swery and Access Games. This is my pipe dream you could say, as I love D4 to death out of what little there was released. Dark Dreams Don't Die...

Luckily it was a hard list to put together. Most games I've really wanted to make a comeback, are/have.

Pocky & Rocky series (Heavenly Guardian is okay, but an actual sequel would be great!)

Buck Bumble (A sequel to Buck Bumble would be so awesome, especially if it's in the same style as the original)
The Conker series (I still don't get how Microsoft never made this happen!)
(https://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/10928.jpg)(https://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/4968.jpg)(https://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/4762.jpg)

I'm already happy with everything coming concerning sequels: Syberia 3 have been released, Shenmue 3 will probably come during 2018, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Darksiders 3, The Last of Us 2, RDR 3 and Far Cry 5 have all been announced so... most of the games i waited for years will probably come during 2018 but if i have a new wishlist to make concerning sequels it will probably be :

1 • Alpha Protocol 2 (Come on Sega, leave a second chance to that series >:( )
2 • A new Drakengard / Nier game made by Yoko Taro
3 • A new, and great, game for any series own by Konami (take your poison: Suikoden, Zone of the Enders, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Contra... Every time i think about Konami i just hope that one day they close down and resell all theirs IP to people who can make great games about those series.)
4 • Sly Cooper, i just love that series, i'm actually replaying it with my nephews and they loves it too but i really want a new one since how Thieves in Time finished... i won't say more but yeah i really want need a sequel :-\
5 • Too Human (Futuristic Norse Mythology... goddammit, the gameplay was sh*t but i liked everything else about that game and then the sh*tstorm happened, i don't know who have the right to that IP now but maybe one day we will see a reboot of that series, i really hope so).

And the honorable mention is a game to follow one of the most crazy endings i have ever seen: Conduit 3 (a link to the ending of Conduit 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuEOEv13h-Y#t=9m44s)... warning spoiler... duh). I just want to know what sort of story they could develop after that.

These are more continuations than sequels.

1. Mega Man X9
2. Legaia 3
3. Wild ARMs 6
4. Suikoden VI
5. Breath of Fire 6 that isn't an online, web-based POS with microtransactions

Brigandine (ps1)

A Brigandine sequel would be great. Have you tried the Gold Edition? It's not a sequel, but it has some new features that make it different from the original.

5.- Parasite Eve (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasite_Eve_%28video_game%29) already know that am dreaming but still want to have another sequel from this franchise, the Third Birthday doesn't count.

Oh boy. This could get deep. There's a lot that I'd like more of.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming. So, I can scratch that off.

PsyOps: The Mindgate Conspiracy (XBox)
Super Mario RPG (SNES)
Metroid (2D style!)
Kid Icarus (2D)
WWF Wrestlefest (Arcade)

Most of the games I really want to see a sequel for or have a sequel I would want to play just need to be translated.

1. Final Fantasy VI (With the same crew that released the original release.)
2. Lost Odyssey
3. Xenogears (I know the Xenosaga series was released, but a proper sequel the way it was originally imagined.)
4. Chrono Trigger (I haven't played any of the fan releases.)
5. Phantasy Star series (III was my buffer game while I saved money for a SNES and Final Fantasy VI. PSIV was just an awesome game)

One-Shots I'd love to see a sequel to:

1) Chaos Legion (PS2)
2) Soleil (MD) AKA Crusader of Centy (Gen)
3) Gregory Horror Show (PS2)
4) Azure Dreams (PS1)
5) Diver's Dream (PS1)

Series that are dormant or it's unclear whether they're being continued I'd like to see a new sequel for:

1) Silent Hill
2) Ape Escape
3) Everblue (PS2) - technically the Endless Ocean games on Wii are sort-of in the same sphere, but I would love an Everblue 3
4) Project Zero aka Fatal Frame (preferably without Nincensorship)
5) Warriors Orochi - again, the upcoming Musou Stars seems to be a side-step, but I loved the Orochi storyline.
6) Dark Souls - seriously, WTH From?

@shfan: Was the Azure Dreams on the Game Boy Color a sequel to the PlayStation game? Or was it more of a side-story, gaiden, etc.?

Brigandine gold ed? never heard of it. I'll check into it thanks.

From what I can gather Kashell the GBC game is basically a ground-up rebuild with some parts removed and some new parts put in, but effectively the same game. I'd love a copy, but I doubt I'll find a complete one in good condition now.

Wild Arms 6
Timesplitters 4
Mega Man Legends 3
Fallout New Vegas 2
Tetris Attack 2/Pokemon Puzzle League 2/Puzzle League Smash something with that Tetris Attack gameplay.
The Punisher 2 (Sequel to the PS2/Xbox game)

Tons of other games I'd love to see.  Mercenaries 3, a new Red Faction, a new Saints Row, tons of kooky old games I'd love to see sequels to (Under The Skin, Tokyo Jungle, etc)

No problem! It's not a true sequel, but it looks like the more polished and complete version of Brigandine. That game really needs more love.

Gotcha. Well, darn. I was hoping that it would help fill the void for a sequel. Tao's Adventure for the DS(?) is supposedly a spiritual successor, but that's not quite the same thing. Azure Dreams was such a unique game.

1. Brink - a promising idea with a bunch of problems that I think a sequel could fix
2. Super Meat Boy - yes I have seen McMillan's new game and it looks promising, but a proper sequel would be sick
3. Sid Meier's Pirates!
4. Salt and Sanctuary
5. Pony Island

The thing about McMillan games though, is they appear and disappear, especially recently.

Like don't get me wrong, I love McMillan, but I've stopped getting excited about his games until a later development cycle cause there's a million that don't seem to be going anywhere. I'm stoked for it, but until it's like, out, it's not really on my radar as much.

I am quite excited about the announcement though lol.

Tao's adventure looks interesting, thanks for the tip! It's a great pity Konami went haywire, people usually lament the main series such as Contra and Castlevania (agreed with, mind you), but to me it's the loss of all the quirky stuff they released like Azure Dreams which really left me down, they were a powerhouse up to and including the PS2 era.

I 100% agree. I won't say no to more Castlevania, but they left so much untapped potential with Azure Dreams.

Hrmm. This could be interesting. Most of the games I wanted sequels for (NNK, God of War, Darksiders, hopefully the localization of DQX) are on the way. But there are a few that should/wish would happen.

#1 - Battle of Olympus. The best game on the NES. Yet a sequel never arrived.
#2 - World of Final fantasy. I know the game isnt that old but I adored it and really hope they continue the series.
#3 - Magic knight Rayearth. The Saturn game was a masterpiece. A remaster and sequel combo would be a dream come true.

A continuation of a few casts

#4 - Phantasy star. Alis and the crew really need a new adventure
#5 - Final Fantasy 6. One of the best games of all time and a game Ive played through many times. Terra and Celes for life! :)

1. Dragon Force III
2. Phantasy Star V
3. Shining Force IV
4. Age of Mythology 2
5. Superman 64 II  :o  ???  :P

The first 3 choices were immediately easy but I was having trouble after that. It was kind of hard to conjure up games that I invested a ton of time in that didn't have proper sequels and the only one that came to mind was Age of Mythology. Maybe something like a new Gradius / Salamander or a new Thunder Force entry?

1. Brutal Legend 2
2. Banjo-Kazooie 3
3. Super Mario RPG 2
4. Mega Man Legends 3
5. Godzilla 2 (The recent PS4 game, as it's great fan service, but a game with a lot of problems they could iron out with a sequel.  Also it needs Shin Godzilla!)

1. Silent Hills :'(
2. Technically a prequel I guess, but what I wouldn't give to have a Metal Gear Solid game about the Cobra Unit kicking ass in World War II
3. D4 Season 2
4. Drakengard 4, one with a competent development team and a budget of more than $30. I think this one might actually happen with Automata's success. Fingers crossed.
5. Illbleed 2

Unpopular opinion, but as much as I love Haunting Ground, I really don't see why there's so much demand for a sequel. The plot seemed pretty self-contained, and I think it would feel forced to tack a new story onto the ending. Unless you're a huge loser like I am and like to pretend that it led into Resident Evil 4.

Ultimately I wish the Hotel Dusk / Last Window series would have gotten a third entry on DS. It would have been perfect as a trilogy. There are some unanswered questions from both games, which could have been answered in a third game.

I would have appreciated an Endless Ocean series continuation on 3DS.

I wish the NES Bionic Commando had gotten a SNES sequel. Super Bionic Commando should have existed.

Playstation All Start Battle Royale

F-Zero
Medievil
Klonoa

I had no idea how much I wanted this until now. Very underappreciated series.

You've piqued my interest! I'll grab some snacks if you care to elaborate.

Haha, it's nothing that interesting, I promise. Back in the day, I somehow got it in my head that both games shared a universe and that Hewie was the same dog that saved Leon from El Gigante. Both were developed by Capcom, both are clearly set in modern (for the time) central Europe, so why not? Young me was not very smart. Young me was also exceptionally morbid, so I assumed something happened to Fiona between games and that Hewie was now running around alone in the woods kicking ass in her name. If I had the drive and the discipline, I'm sure I would have written dozens of cringey fanfics about it.
