Hey guys, what's your opinion on Steam's version of Chrono Trigger?

I still wonder who at Square Enix thought it was a good idea to release the game in the state that it was in. A fucking mobile port of all things, not even hiding the fact that it was a mobile port - with touch screen overlays and all.

It's like Square Enix hates its legacy when it comes to pixel art - either you slap a haphazard smoothing filter on top or redraw the graphics complete using hideous "high definition" art clashing against itself, like we saw in the mobile port of Final Fantasy V. It's pretty clear to me that Square Enix doesn't want to put time and effort into the PC side of things, as everythning seems to be a mobile port.

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like they are trying to fix all the issues people have with it:

It might be too little too late at this point, but I wasn't planning on buying it anytime soon on PC.
