So I've been looking to increase my collection, but what I realized is I don't have all the popular/must get/classic games for each console.
What I mean is for example I don't have Sly Cooper or Ratchet and Clank for the PS2 and should get those.
To save time I'll list what consoles I own (by company):
PS1/2/3/Vita
N64/Gamecube/Wii and GBA/DS
Also might pick up a snes sometime, so games for that too would be appreciated.

There are no must get retro games.
I can tell you though if you like old race or sports games you will be having a great time.
If your into those genre's I mean the quality can be quite high there is a reason why these were the games that had sold pretty great back in the day

Ah yes I should've phrased it as popular retro games. Thanks for the suggestions!

Here's the big question: do you just want popular stuff to have, or are you going to actually play these things? I know personally, I tend to spend more time not with the 'popular' games, but the 'hidden gems'.
As time goes on, what was popular in the past may not actually hold up over time- maybe a superior take on the same concept made the old game seem limited in retrospect. Alternatively, a game that not many people paid attention to can gain traction in the retro market as people's needs from the system change.
I guess what I'm saying is, asking for recommendations is fine, but be wary of letting popular opinion get you spending money on titles that just aren't your thing.
