Title: Limited and Obscure releases
Post by: ignition365 on July 19, 2018, 04:33:20 pm
The Limited Run Games thread wasn't being maintained and the other obscure/limited companies get left behind, so I've decided to throw together a obscure/limited thread to track all of the limited/obscure releases.  I'll break them down by company and then by platform and try to include as much information as possible.  I intend to continually update this post.

God, this generation is going to be a mess to collect for, especially if someone tries once this gen is no longer supported. There are so many of these limited release games that I imagine it'll create massive spikes in price for many of these games down the road. With a some exceptions I'm glad few of these games appeal to me enough to buy them physically.

Also, didn't Iam8bit do some limited releases, or at least REZ HD?

I'm still building the OP.

Added iam8bit, Red Art Games, Hard Copy Games, and Fangamer.

Next is Vblank and updating LRG, Gamefairy, and Signature Edition.

I will most definitely not get into ps4 collecting wouldn't have time to play those games anyways to much great stuff on older consoles or curren gen nintendo anyways It Really depends if price spikes will happen unless the supply is really small like 100 or less like the ps3 sports game that became crazy expensive.

I personally don't think brand new consoles will have the same effects as the ones in the past as far as collectebility goes if were going many years in the future. Things in the past were not made to be collectible while these days with all these limited edtions and limited run releases the games have been especially made to be collectible. I think the prices will stay the same It's to much of a collectors fest not to mention the super big limited editions which are getting more plentyfull by the day.

Supply is limited but I would be kinda suprised if there would be a massive a amount of collectors in the future hunting down those limited run released ps4 games. The games are usually not games that were meant to be on a ps4 they are more knock offs wanna be pixel style retro games. With ofcourse some modern 3d games here and there.

They will most likely hold there value slight price decrease for the most part but super high price spikes are not really a thing that comes to my mind. unsealed copies will be more rare than factory sealed ones that's one thing that I can guarantee.

I wish future collectors the best of luck to collect all these releases might be kinda impossible unless you have a crap ton of money. Not to mention that even if you would decide to buy them all on release It's still pretty pricy since these are brand new games and the amounts released in a short time are getting pretty crazy these days.

You might get lucky as far as price drops go but the interest has to be very low if were going that route, however since there are so many releases and people might lose there focus what to collect since there is so much to choose from it can also cause massive price drops as a beacon of hope for people who might want to snagg them real cheap in the future.

Ugh, hadn't even heard of some of these..

Fortunately, it's getting easier and easier to not buy these things, there's so many it's vital to really narrow it down to must-haves. So many are nu-retro pixel-things which aren't worth investing in anyway, so that'll keep the spends down.

Yeah, not a whole lot fits into stuff that I need to buy/play, so it's getting easier to pass on some of these items. I'm thankful I'm not a PS4 completionist! It gets so difficult now that we're in the era of reboots, remakes, remasters, definitive editions, etc.

Thanks, ignition365, for getting this thread together! Looks great - really appreciate the time you took to work on it.

Sorry, confirmed to be separate releases.  They might go up for sale the same day, but they are definitely two separate releases.

Definitely, it's seriously snowballing now. I can't believe they're rebooting the Bard's Tale - I mean don't get me wrong, horses for courses, but how many gamers are seriously itching for that one to get remade out of all the games from the GC/Xbox/PS2 era? It's just so random.

and where are my manners? Thank you for taking the time to put this together ignition.

Hehe, totally understandable. I imagine there were some folks interested seeing as Bard's Tale IV will be out soonish. Makes sense to try to drum up some interest again in the series before then.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch (ps4) 4500 copies
Octodad: Dadliest Catch (Vita) 3500 copies
also there were 750 pulled from each of those numbers for 1500 Dad editions (if it maters) so it would make them 3750 ps4 and 2750 for vita

Shadow Complex Remastered (PS4) 6900 copies

Rumor has it, the mystery game might be Bastion.  I'm skeptical.

Shadow Complex is 7,500.  Only 6,900 were put up for sale, but 7,500 were printed.  600 went to Epic games or something.

Updated Nicalis.

Planning to figure something out to put up on the top of the OP to track immediate or upcoming releases across all companies.

Severed (PS Vita) goes up 10am CDT tomorrow morning at Play-Asia.

LRG just announced the August 3rd Switch title will be Oxenfree.

What could be the differences between the PS4 and Switch versions of S&S? If they aren't much different I'll probably get the PS4 version but of the Switch version is better than I'll hold off.

And I'll still definitely get Spelunky because that game is fantastic.

Nice...actually, it looks like it's coming to all 3 systems, and all 3 are GS exclusives. There's a Switch tax on this one, $29.99 vs $19.99 on the PS4/XBOne. I'll be grabbing this one for PS4 because my wife has been wanting to play this game ever since we saw some footage of the PC version last year, and she likes to play on her own consoles. ;)  If I'm adding another game to Oct, I'd just as soon save the $10 anyway.  ;D

To add to that, just saw that GameTrust has a new game up for preorder... Star Child.

Also added Leadman games (Salt and Sanctuary for Switch) and Dispatch games.  Plan to try and maybe add Badland Games, Perp Games, and Soedesco (Absolute insane amount of titles)

Speaking of which... Salt and Sanctuary - Drowned Tome edition launches at retail for Switch on October 30th.

Oh yeah, speaking of Amazon, Gravity Rush Remastered was Amazon-exclusive.

I'm not sure if it counts, but there were other weird ones that you could only get through Amazon because of how the publisher decided to distribute it... Items like Natsume's River City Rival Showdown, I think...?

I realize that's getting into the nitty gritty though of retailer exclusives, and that's a major pain. But I know I had originally missed Xenoblade Chronicles back in the day because I didn't know it was Gamestop-exclusive, and I'm sure others had missed out on Gravity Rush Remastered.

Yeah, I think stuff like Soedesco and Natsume are weird because they aren't explicitly Amazon exclusives, it just worked out that way.

I'm concerned some of these places are - either on purpose or inadvertently - trying to con us into double dipping on some of these games. For example, I know Phantom Breaker is out for the Switch as well, so what are the odds that LRG announces a Switch release after the PS4/Vita release is done?

Im pretty sure they are not intended to make people double dip. I know Douglas has seemed shocked and/or pissed at a few of the redos (I know Ghost Blade was a touchy one for him).

Ive bit on the double dip a few times. I wanted to keep both my LRG and Play Asia set complete so I have 2 copies of RIVE for example. Ys Origin got released with an Asian/English version before the LRG one was actually announced so I have 2 copies of that game well. Wonder boy seems to have 3 different versions eventually.

Its a nightmare already to keep up with all the indie releases already without mentioning multiple companies releasing the same game.

I totally know what you mean. I think collector's are going to get burnt out on all these sporadic releases, and I'm glad that LRG is trying to be more conscientious about releasing the same game on different platforms too close together.

Well having more than one company release a game is a bit different. I'm talking about when some of these guys release a game for Switch that they previously already released for ps4/vita, and it was already out on the Switch at the time. If they're hinting that Phantom Breaker will get a Switch release, I'll gamble and wait.

One good thing about there being so many of these games getting physical releases now is that the number of people trying for complete collections is seriously dwindling. That means many of these games don't hold their value on the secondary market. I picked up Flinthook and Lili for the PS4 on Ebay about a month ago, both sealed, and paid less than they originally sold for on LRG. And I'm currently addicted to Flinthook, so I'm very glad I was able to grab it. :)

Doug has seemingly hinted that LRG will be doing their own release of Bard's Tale Remastered.

Is this the PS2-era "not really" Bard's Tale game, or the remaster that's being worked on of the 80's original?

Remaster of the PS2 game... the one that is notoriously broken, allegedly LRG is fixing it in house and putting the patch on disc.

Mighty Rabbit Studios is assisting inXile Entertainment with Bard's Tale IV.

Also, I finally made a calendar to track release dates.
https://calendar.google.com/calendar/b/1?cid=Z2V0cXVhc2hlZEBnbWFpbC5jb20

Undertale (NS) available for preorder from Fangamer and Best Buy.  CE only available at Fangamer.

The Long Reach is up for preorder at Signature Edition games.

Stardust Galaxy Warriors announced for PS4 by Strictly Limited Games.

Announced for physical release by Skybound games.  Hollow Knight and Death's Gambit... coming to PS4/X1/Switch.

Sounds like it's a collaboration with Adult Swim games, so future Adult Swim games will likely go through them.

Thant sounds awesome! I cant wait. They need to start releaseing games to sell because their upcoming games list seems to be more in line with my personal game preferences. heres to hoping that they are reasonably priced...

Yooka Laylee pushed back to this Friday pending the CE getting approved.

Narcosis for PS4 goes up this friday along with Salt and Sanctuary (PS4/Vita).  There is no PSVR support for this title... even though it really should.

Allegedly another PS4 title will be going up this friday, but I feel like that's probably going to be pushed back since Friday is already pretty big.

A lot of folks are speculating that the 8-bit game is Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, but I'm hesitant to believe that given that a Switch version would sell like hotcakes.  I made a speculation about what the title is, but even I don't believe my guess because it's too on the nose, I honestly expect it to be some random shitty pixel game.

The Huge game is supposedly outlandishly crazy that they are doing the release, like it's supposed to blow people's minds that they managed to sign it.  Some folks were speculating Hellblade or Mummy Demastered... but who knows, time will tell.

10/26: TBA 2 Game Collection (Switch)... I didn't realize Outlast had a Trinity collection, so I assumed it'd be that?

They've also listed a "TBA (PS4/Vita)" for that date to be sold in batches....

Switch has Outlast: Bundle of Terror and Outlast 2.  It'll be 1 cartridge, but it'll create 2 separate icons on your switch.  No launcher.

So yeah, Essentially Outlast Trinity... which is a shame that they are wasting a Switch release on something that already has a retail presence for PS4/X1

Just a question about what has been the consistent practice (if there has been one) for "release dates" on items that have limited releases or pre-orders. When the actual production/shipping date is unknown, have we just been using the date of first sale as the "release date"?

Is the focus here console games or do PC ones count too? There's a small publisher called Screen 7 http://www.screen7.co.uk/#!/home (http://www.screen7.co.uk/#!/home), who specialize in adventure games, they have an online shop with limited physical editions of some of their games http://www.screen7.co.uk/treasure/ (http://www.screen7.co.uk/treasure/), frankly they're likely to be much smaller runs than most of these 'limited run' games for PS4 etc.

The only problem is they only ship to North America at the minute (strange, for a UK company), but I've took delivery of the 5-disc version of The Cat Lady today by using a third party to repackage and ship to me (UK). I was very pleased to receive it though :D The Cat Lady looks like a fantastic horror game.

I would do the release date as the sale date just because they don't consistently make releases arrive at the same time for everyone.

Cool, I think that's the best course of action as well, at least for LRG items. Delays happen during their shipping process, and yeah, everyone receives their items at the same time.

Good, with the delay of the "big unknown", and with me having already put down my order for the Play-Asia PS4 game of the month, I think I'm clear for a few weeks. Think I'm gonna invest some money in some upcoming Asian-English releases I want during the lull - the 2 Psikyo shmup collections for the Switch, the Capcom beat-em-up collection also for the Switch, and the Asterix & Obelix remake for the PS4.

I agree, but the backlash had to be expected when they have built their entire business model on the limited nature of these games. It's why they can release absolute trash and it still sells out.

Red Art Games third title is whatever this is.  Demetrios PS4/PS Vita 999 copies.

Test your luck with the unproven Red Art Games.

I will once again warn that Red Art Games founder was originally a customer of LRG who had repeatedly performed chargebacks and purchased above limits to scalp titles.  They have yet to ship out or sell out of a game, and I would highly recommend staying away from them until they manage to produce orders for folks who already placed orders.

Hi,

As the developer of Demetrios who has worked with both LRG and Red Art Games (I ported and published Xenon Valkyrie+ to consoles and it got a release through LRG), I can tell you Red Art is legit. I don't know where those rumors come from but we've done a lot of work for this release. I've signed a contract similar to what LRG made me sign, submitted for new product codes and new builds to Sony, submitted for PEGI, even prepared a manual. They hired someone to design the required box art, someone else for the communication...

If they weren't legit they wouldn't go through all this trouble, don't you think?

The information came directly from LRG.

I will not give RAG the benefit of the doubt, nor will I change my recommendation until they prove themselves by shipping a title.

Rumors aside, other companies have the backing of being attached to existing companies with provable results.  LRG -> Mighty Rabbit, Super Rare -> Curve Digital, EAS -> Play-Asia/EAS, SRG -> Devolver Digital, SLG -> United Games (German company), HCG -> Severed Press, GameFairy -> Headup Games, Signature Edition -> Merge Games, etc.

If RAG has a parent company with a proven track record, by all means provide that information, because they sure haven't.

Headlander announced for sale on Dec 7th from LRG.  Not the big charity game.

I got an email from LRG yesterday announcing their variant cover edition of Special Reserve Games' release of Enter the Gungeon going on sale. I somehow got removed from SRG's mailing list - I'm guessing during the Ruiner kerfuffle - so I didn't know they had put this one out. Promptly went to their site & bought EtG from them. ;)

Headlander for PS4 announced and Shantae Pirates Curse for Switch announced for Switch.  Entirely possible that Risky's Revenge will come down the line if this sells well enough.

The BIGGEST GAME EVER PS4 game that has been hyped for months will no longer be open preorder, limited to 5,000 standard copies and 2,500 CE copies.  Game will be announced on the PS Blog the morning of the sale.  LRG claims to not know when the blog will go up, could be 15 minutes before the sale, could be 10, could be 5, could be simultaneous, could be well after the game has sold out.

Edit: Game is also no longer a for charity thing.

Do we even know when this PS4 game will be sold? Is it going to be next week the 14th?

I'm liking this whole deal less and less the more I hear about it  >:(

This Friday 9am CST/10am EST.

It seems very likely that the title is one of the PS2 on PS4 titles.

Ok at least the time has been revealed

Which PS2 titles were on PS4 again? I know Rogue Galaxy was one

EDIT: NVM found this list on Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_2_games_for_PlayStation_4

It seems very likely that the title is one of the PS2 on PS4 titles.

If that's true, I'd put my money on the Jak & Daxter trilogy/quadrilogy.

Personally I'd love for it to be Wild Arms 3, but a lot of folks are speculating Parappa the rapper 2.

If it's a PS2 game I'd probably pass since it would't be worth the better visuals and trophy support esp. Since any PS2 game on the PS4 has cheaper options available, save for maybe Dark Cloud 2

Personally I doubt it's Parappa 2. LRG has been hyping up that this is one of the most popular game's they've ever released. That doesn't sound like Parappa to me haha.

They've back peddled many times stating that this isn't the most popular game they've ever released, stating that this release is a big deal because of the partnership it establishes.

You give them far too much credit. It wouldn't be the first time they've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Hell, going away from the pre-order to the set number + going the whole mysterious entry route reeks of them trying to catch that lightning in a bottle again over their releases. I hope it's a one-off thing and not the new normal because I need a little bit more time than the last freaking minute to decide if I want to drop $75 on a CE.  >:(

I mean I was basing that off their listing on the site, which still says "this is one of the most well-known games we have ever released". I still would not consider Parappa 2 worthy of that description xD

Yeah it really bothers me that they're not doing preorders now; if they were, I would feel much better about the secrecy because at least you would have the time to make a decision whether to buy it or not. I just feels very crummy to me :(

It ended up being Jak and Daxter. Definitely passed on it: I already own the game on PS2, and if I really wanted an HD version of the game I would just buy the HD trilogy on PS3 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: Also I'm hearing the PS4 build of the game doesn't run as good anyway since it's emulated quality, which is a double the reason to pass on it. I don't know if that's true though.

EDIT 2: Looks like from the blog post they aim to release all four classic Jak and Daxter PlayStation 2 games on the PS4. Talking about milking it for all you've got. I like how that post says it's "preserving" these games. Please.

OOF. LOL Talk about a let down and a half. Waiting till the last minute to reveal that it was just a remaster of Jak & Daxter. It's not "don't you guys phones?!" bad but it's up there IMHO.  :P

I did go ahead and put in for a regular edition but seeing the reveal a few minutes prior on their forums made it super easy to avoid buying the CE. I kind of feel for the guys like theflea who'll end up spending $225-300 on those CEs when it's all said and done. Speaking of subsequent games/releases, I assume they're putting out Jak 1-3 and Jak X: Combat Racing a port/remaster of Lost Frontier from the PSP, or is it possibly the stand-alone Daxter game?.

Ugh, LRG just keeps getting sleezier. I'm pretty they can't claim they're "helping preserve" Jak & Daxter, this is just a blatant fleecing. $120 shipped for 4 PS2 games, and that's assuming you just get the standard editions.  ::)

And it looks like Dust has become their newest game to get endless delays. And the more big corporate tie-ins they get, the less I buy their excuses for these long waits after purchase. You'd think they'd have this whole thing figured out by now, right? Maybe at least wait until the physical game is finalized & has an ESRB rating before selling it? Just a thought...

Celeste (PS4/NS) and Windjammers (NS) coming from LRG in the coming weeks.

New PSV games from Play-Asia Super Destronaut and I am the Hero coming later this week.

Updated OP.

EDIT: Updated OP 2nd post to include the new company Warned Collectors.  Based in France (like Red Art Games) seemingly doing PEGI releases of titles.  Already have a lot of heat on them because their first announce releases were re-releases of recently released LRG and SLG titles (specifically Furi and Pankapu)  They have since pulled the Furi (NS) and Pankapu (PS4) releases, possibly because of threats to devs from LRG/SLG that caused the devs to back out of their deals with Warned Collectors... possibly to just push off the releases so they aren't so close to recent releases... who knows.

Like Red Art, they have no backing from a reputable company, are based in France, and don't seem to know what they are doing.

Wel, looks like LRG will be starting 2019 with a bang.

In addition to Celeste for Jan 1, they have announced 3 more titles for Jan 4.

Danmaku Unlimited 3 (Switch)
Neurovoider (Vita)
Sundered (PS4).

Looks like I’ll be ordering Celeste sooner than I thought, to go with Neurovoider and Danmaku Unlimited 3.

Good to know - I wonder if they just called it "deluxe" 'cause it was physical. I know that's happened before with other physical releases. They consider the box and disc as "goodies," I guess?  ::)

Jan 24th - EastAsiaSoft are releasing Oniken + Odallus Collection. You can buy each separately for PS4 (or buy both and they throw in a slipcover) or one one cart for Switch.

Jan 25th - Limited Run Games has Jak II, Tacoma, and lord knows what else.

Jan 27th - Strictly Limited Games will be selling Wonder Boy Returns.

FYI, Vita fans: the first casualty of the cart production ending has been announced, YIIK has been axed.

Same here, but I figure it's worth trying given all the praise and worst case scenario it's usually pretty easy to sell & recoup what you paid for LRG releases, especially the Switch ones.

Also thanks for the heads up on the Wonder Boy release. I have a preorder with SLG right now but I guess I'm still not on their mailing list.  :-\

Another World for Switch announced by LRG... They are just this week beginning to ship out the CEs for the PS4/Vita versions of this game.

LRG maintains a 1:1 ratio of rehashes and new titles for Switch.  14 new titles and 14 re-releases of titles previous released by themselves or other publishers.

Some of those 14 new titles saw simultaneous releases on multiple platforms.

Ignore this post. Degica (then verified in conversation with LRG) have confirmed this release is indeed different from the Japanese edition.

For starters, the standard release, at 39.99, will include the 29.99 digital came, and 30 USD of DLC (Homura, Claire, and voice pack).

The Collector’s Edition, at 99.99, includes a fourth DLC (Tatsujin), and a boatload of physical extras.

My wife decided to pop in The Observer - a LRG release we picked up last year but that neither of us had played - and we were surprised to see it started an 8gb updated. That was very disappointing, since part of the point of LRG releases, I thought, was to have the game complete on the disc. Has anyone run into this with any of there others? Specifically, I mean really big updates to their games. Any update would defeat the purpose to some extent, but an 8gb update is ridiculous IMO.

Sadly, I think it's par for the course.  I don't think LRG has put out many complete releases, and they aren't quite competent enough to make sure the devs have no planned patches or updates prior to release.

LRG announced ToeJam and Earl for this friday along with Oddworld Stranger's Wrath on PS3, their first PS3 release.  I'll wait to add the PS3 title to the list until we find out if it is part of the same numbering as PS4/Vita or if it's its own run.

GameTrust will be releasing Trine Series 1-3 for Switch exclusively through Gamestop.

Q.U.B.E. 2 for Switch went up for preorder from Super Rare Games this morning - there are only 23% left in stock as of this posting.

https://superraregames.com/products/srg-13-q-u-b-e-2-switch

I also dropped $5 down on the Trine trilogy at lunch. I'm in for Toejam & Earl from LRG, but I'll wait until next month both because this month has been SUPER expensive, and because they may put up another preorder before this one ends where I can combine shipping.

EDIT: Oh, and remember that Battle Chef Brigade, also for the Switch, comes out through Best Buy this Friday!

PS3 games are part of the PS set, as expected, so oddworld is Release #244.

Ghoul Boy goes on sale soon from Play-asia/EAS.

Next week Limited Run Games are going all out for fighting game fans.

- The King of Fighters ‘97: Global Match (PS4/Vita). A CE is also available that includes a custom NeoGeo shock box from Fangamer.

- Koihime Enbu Ryo Rai Rai (PS4). Looks like the game will also include a separate OST as part of the deal.

Just a heads up, this was including in their Toejam & Earl release email they sent out yesterday:

Quote
Best Buy will be receiving 7,000 copies of this game on Switch from us with a different, non-foil, cover. Best Buy's copies will not be available until a later date and will likely not overlap our own preorder window. Please understand that if you sit out on our open window in order to try and secure a copy through Best Buy, you may be left empty handed. Best Buy also has the ability to not move forward with their order, as it has not been finalized yet. Opt to wait at your own risk.

There's a lot of CYA in that message, but I'm confident enough now to wait - especially since it wouldn't be the end of the world if I did miss out on TJ&E. If I can get the game for cheaper (my Gamer's Club Unlocked membership is still active for another year) AND not have my money tied up for months waiting on the game to get made, then I'll happily wait.

Took it a minute before the "Add Cart" button showed up on the screen for the LRG releases this morning. Best I can tell, they decided at the last minute to make a new bundle with the CE versions and a hat.  ::)

Almost went CE on Koihime but talked myself out of it as I didn't think the items in the CE merited another $35. I would have paid $50.  :P

Grousing about how LRG does things aside, it's been a pretty decent month in terms of releases.  ;)

FYI, while not limited releases Play-Asia is selling Asian English physical copies of both World of Final Fantasy Maxima and Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! for the Switch. WoFFM comes out this week while CMDEB comes out next month. They are priced $46 & $47 respectively, and my order for both only cost $10 to ship to the US. Use code GEMATSU to knock $3 off.  Seeing as this is the only way to get these games physically for the Switch, I figured someone here might be interested. :)

Because if the JP version has English text, you can get it cheaper and quicker through Amazon JP as opposed to Play Asia.

The first batch for Aquatic Adventure went up just now at 1PM EST. I originally thought it was 10AM like LRG so I set my alarm for then. Saw this post before laying down so I re-adjusted my alarm. When I got up and went to the site, I saw the correct time so I set my alarm a 3rd time. Finally ordered but my sleep for the day is borked so going in tonight is going to be Fuuuuuuuuuuuun.  :-\

It's a fun but short homage to NES era Castlevania. It's rather easy (or possibly, simply not full of bullshit like the NES games) so you notice the briefness of it. It perfectly fits its $10 price tag, if LRG puts it up for more than $20 with no significant content added, I can't say it'd be worth it.

They had pricing for the CE in the email set at $54.99. They usually price those around $25-30 over what they charge for the regular editions so expect those to be $30-35 for PS4/Vita and Switch.

It has a fair amount of replay value tho - branching paths, multiple characters to switch between and quite a few different endings.

Also keep in mind they confirmed this will be one that Best Buy carries as well.

Hollow Knight will be at BB huh? Good, that's one I can wait on & save a few bucks (my GCU membership still has another year left on it).

The Messenger is a must-buy. On the fence about Fairune, has anyone played any of those games? There's definitely bang for the buck in that set w/ the number of games included, but if they aren't that great to begin with then it doesn't matter.

Also, what's the word on Warned Collectors? Are they reliable?

Hollow Knight will allegedly also be available at GameStop and possibly other retailers too, full retail release... I guess.

Messenger will have free shipping from SRG, open preorder for 2 weeks.  Allegedly LRG will also be running open preorder on it, but no free shipping and presumably an LRG upcharge on it.

I don't know much about Fairune, but it looked like a game I and my wife would like, so I'm in.

No real info on Warned Collectors, there were some murmurs from the LRG folks that they are scammers, but they said the same thing about Red Art Games and they seem to be a solid company (with subpar titles :boom:).  WC looks to have some cool stuff down the pipe, but who knows.

Zombie Night Terrors went up for preorder today from Warned Collectors.

Guacamelee from LEadman will include all DLC.  DLC on disc for PS4 and DLC as download codes for GM2 on Switch with GM1 DLC on cart.

Lichtspeer has been swapped to be HCG#2 since Elliot's Quest is being delayed for a patch.

Bendy and the ink machine is no longer a GS exclusive.

Gotta give Hard Copy Games credit, the game Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human went up for sale on the 8th and it took about a week for the game to show up. Mebbe they can learn LRG a thing or two.  :P

Speaking of LRG, looks like the fervor is still alive and well with this week's releases. Got dropped into the queue to check out and was mildly worried my Vita version might sell out but luckily it didn't. Still...bot the regular and CE versions went pretty fast. They have to be coming up on the end of the road for Vita releases, no?  :-\

Super Rare Games sent me this in an email yesterday:

Quote
On the subject of the 15th game, we will be announcing it next week. This is an indie game that I consider to be a hidden gem. The artwork on the front cover is absolutely stunning and think it will be something people will be very happy to have on their shelves. It's an RPG but from a sub-genre we haven't explored before. The narrative in this title is very rich and it has been on the Switch for a while in digital form.

Anyone have any guesses?

They also said they're going to be increasing their print runs for future games from 3-4k to 4-6k, so that's good.

Oh, and Strictly Limited will be putting up Raging Justice for the PS4 & Switch this Sunday.

Looks like LRG pulled a fast one on the 6PM batch. They added in some enamel pins that weren't listed during the 10AM run. They modified the Mega Bundle to include these pins and upped the price accordingly. It doesn't bother me that they want to sell the pins (IMO they're overpriced and then some) but they should have made a 2nd Mega Bundle with the pins added and left the original Mega Bundle up for those who have no desire to buy the pins but don't want to have 4 separate windows up to get all of the games from the bundle.  :P

I was on an internet blackout of sorts yesterday because April Fools sucks.  Limited Rare Games allegedly released Poop Slinger for PS4.  The whole debacle looked and sounded like a scam.  Their website is down and gone now, but if you had it cached you can actually still place an order.

Limited Run Games however put out Glittermitten Grove/Frog Fractions 2 for PC.

Apparently there was an issue with the new theme they were using, so they swapped back to their old theme and they'll try and fix it after the second batch.

I noticed that it reverted to the classic layout after my order completed. Personally I didn't think the page needed a new overhaul. They need to split their page up better so at the top have it say "New Releases for X/X/XXXX and then underneath that a row of "Hot Titles Coming Soon" instead of the jumbled mess that it was. I thought that the Switch release of Momodora got lumped in this week and had a window open for it till I realized it was a week out (my fault for not seeing your post beforehand).

I'm just happy the order went through unscathed and nothing sold out in the meantime. With Vita releases coming to a very near end, people are jumping all over them, flippers/scalpers included. That said, my local post office needs a swift kick in the backside. They "lost" my Ribi-Rabi/Battle Chef Brigade shipment last month (LRG has sent replacements) and now my Bloodstained package has gone "missing". Both show arriving at the post office and then nothing since.  >:( >:( >:(

LRG announced Psychonauts for PS4.  $29.99.  Kind of a rip off when the Jak games were $24.99 and are more expensive on PSN compared to Psychonauts lower PSN price and higher physical price.  Goes up this Friday.

LRG will allegedly have several shadow drops during and after their E3 conference.  Their conference will announce roughly 50 titles and roughly half of those will be part of one project that will see its releases staggered throughout a 7-8 month period, roughly 3/month.

Updated OP.  Not that it was any surprise, but LRG has put out so much so fast, that the First post in this thread HAS to be dedicated to just LRG because it exceeds the character limit to include anything else.  All other limited publishers combined fit in the second post with room to spare.

Might pick up Rogue Legacy but that's about it, nothing else looks that interesting unless I missed something

I'm definitely picking up:

Blaster Master Zero
Rogue Legacy
Transistor
Night In the Woods

All for Switch.  I was disappointed that they didn't announce Blaster Master Zero 2 as well tho.

LRG needs to fix that new layout of theirs or do away with it. There was an issue again this week with Oddworld's "Buy Now" button not refreshing at the deadline. I gave up trying to click on it and rang out the two Vita separate. I was debating on getting the Power Rangers game from Monday but decided to go ahead and get it so I put Oddworld with that order. My cousin missed out on Guacamelee so he has to try again at 6PM.  >:(

Always something with these damn people. If they're not losing my packages then their site doesn't work. Oof.  :o

The Gardens Between is SRG#022, next release should be SRG#018.  The Gardens Between is likely not the next title.

Ugh, Brickseek doesn't show a single copy of this in the searchable area around me - and I think it has a 100 mile search radius. :(  Why would anyone partner with Wal-Mart of all companies for something like this?

I did a search for this and none showed in my area either. I was going to go take a look around this weekend but I'm not holding my breath.

Them printing them first and then working out the deal seems plausible. You gotta figure if Wal-Mart balked they could have approached Target or Amazon. I imagine Best Buy, Gamestop and places like Fry's could have been considered too. Hopefully with a sell through, it'll encourage them to print a second batch? Wishful thinking anymore but one can hope.  :P

I've been busy and just plain not interested in lim print shit, so updates are infrequent.

Super Comboman announced by LRG
Clannad coming from LRG, but not numbers, but still an LRG release.
Teslagrad from Soedesco distroed by LRG tomorrow
Metal Slug 3 pushed to August.  Something else replacing it this week.

RAG announced War Tech Fighters, and teased Splasher.  Halloween Forever rated by RAG on PEGI

Metal Wolf Chaos XD comes out in August, preorder likely same time.  Allegedly GS will have an exclusive retail release.

There is a retro game store that gets them in, but they jack the prices up to whatever they're selling for on ebay; they don't sell them at MSRP almost ever. Other than that, no one else carries them. If you wouldn't mind doing that I'd be eternally grateful!

Good to hear! I've managed to pick up a few from ebay myself that I missed for very reasonable prices. I think they've gotten to the point where they have put out so many that the number of people going for complete sets has dwindled, so that leaves more people just collecting what they want to play.

EDIT: I popped my copy of Garega in this weekend to see if I liked it btw, was going to offer it to you for cost if I didn't. Turns out it's a REALLY fun SHMUP!  ;D

LRG announced Timespinners, Atari Flashback Collection, and Hover for this Friday.

Hard Copy Games has Lichtspeer going up today as previously mentioned.

Last night Ready to Dispatch announced The Game Paradise: Cruisin Mix for Nintendo Switch.  This version is likely uncensored compared to the PS4 version (a single still image was replaced), but the CE doesn't have the anime DVD but in place has a Vinyl.

Ready to Dispatch has another announcement planned, rumor has it it is Kero Blaster for Switch.

LRG has Gravity Ghost and Metal Slug 3 going up today.

They've announced Slime-san for next week going up with Turok 1 + 2 and an unannounced PS4 title.  Rumor is Jak X.

HCG has announced that title #5 will be -Klaus-, which I personally recommend the game, but I can't recommend the publisher.  They are starting to move towards LRGs less desirable business practices.

Play-Asia put up A Hole New World for Vita yesterday.

RAG has War Tech Fighters going up next Tuesday for PS4 and NS.

Special Reserve pushed back the physical release of Metal Wolf one week, so it's August 27th.  GS version comes with stickers but no manual.  Special Reserve version comes with a manual, but no stickers, plus some other goodies I think.  Game is available digitally already.  Allegedly the Steam files contain the original MWC rom, so you can dump that to your OG Xbox and it will play.

Super Rare has not yet announced their title for this month.  Will probably drop next Thursday though.

Wow, I had no idea, I'm not familiar with the publisher, looks like they're just starting out with their first batch of games and A Hole New World is their first. Really cool how they also provide NES and Famicom cartridge versions as well.

I pre-ordered the Switch standard edition, looks like it comes with a bunch of goodies and a collectible coin. ;D Says it ships in September so I'll post some impressions when I get it, quality wise and so forth.

Thanks for the heads up ignition! ;D

Information is sorta hard now that LRG banned me from their discord server.

This week is a break week.

Next week is River City Girls (Again PA is likely cheaper and faster)
Revenant Dogma (PS4/Vita)
Bubsy (NS) [Not an LRG release]

SRG did Enter the Gungeon earlier this week.

SRG will do Metal Wolf Chaos next week, the same day that Gamestop will release Metal Wolf Chaos.  GS already has MWC in hand in stores across the country, but it's been street dated.

I'd go with PA as the LRG cover art makes the characters look like they have beards.  Plus it'll arrive before LRG even starts shipping.

It really is, to be honest I don't think the extra Dreamcast Immitation case is all that, but considering that the only way to get the CE is through Limited Run... I'm just glad here in Europe that we aren't that restricted. Thing is, Limited Run did ecently start taking Pre-Orders on their prodcuts, so I did start to have a little bit of respect for them... that is not the case with the Shenmue III C.E. - I usually hope that LR don't get their claws on properties I care for.

There is a google calendar in the OP where I list the releases almost as soon as I find out about them.  If you're not averse to Discord, there are many servers out there that track these things.

There are 5,000 copies of the CE through LRG.  I have no insight on the demand, so I won't speculate on how quick it will go, but I know there are a lot of folks who hate LRG, are displeased with YsNet since they backed the KS and now they have to spend more money to get the CE, and have no clue what LRG even is.

I knew it was going to be a scramble this morning just like it is every release day where Vita releases are involved.  :o

I almost lost out on the two Vita releases because I accidentally clicked on the wrong cart option for the J&SB game. I had a tab open for the 3-Cart option instead of the 1-Cart one where you pick your color. I noticed the HUGE price discrepancy, realized my error, and quickly removed it. I think if I had taken any longer I would have been out of luck and would have had to try for them again at 6PM.  :P

What ended up happening is I had to put in a separate order for the 1-Cart release (I went with NES Grey). I have to pay another shipping charge but at this point I'm okay with it since my Vita order went through unscathed.

As for the Shenmue III CE, I am seriously considering trying for one even though I backed the Kickstarter at the $60 tier and will have a normal PS4 copy coming to me.  :o

Weird that they are able to publish the game before the mainstream release. Figured the the publisher might see that as potentially hurting the sales of their own release date.

Site says it's launching at or just before the retail launch. Took it a while to sell out at noon this morning. I figured it would be gone in minutes but it still showed available like 30 minutes after it went up.

LRG announces Duck Game for NS/PS4 and Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier for PS4 for sale this Friday.  Duck Game is open preorder on both platforms but is broken on PS4.  Impossible to earn Platinum trophy among other problems, no fix in place, no expectation of it being fixed for the release.  LRG will allow this because they want to work with Adult Swim Games whereas they cancelled the PS4 release of Super Mutant Alien Assault for the same issue because they aren't a big company.  Also, the Apes game is a Playlink game... so gimmicks.

Ghost Blade HD goes up for preorder on Play Asia tomorrow.

RAG announces Xeodrifter for NS this Wednesday.

Super Rare announces Darkside Detective for NS this Thursday.

Special Reserve has Downwell Tomorrow.

LRG has announced Asdivine Hearts 2 for PS4 this Friday.  As always LRG has not and will not release their full schedule for the week in any form of a timely manner.

First Press announces Castle of Heart.  I will try to update one of the OPs to add First Press at some point.  New company, hasn't shipped anything yet, so as always be careful.

LRG has announced another distribution deal where they are the sole distributor of Fairy Fencer F for NS.  In light of LRG doing a lot more distribution deals (thus claiming that they aren't technically breaking their 1 switch every other week promise, which they have broken time and again) LRG distro is now lavender on the calendar.

Some updates.  LRG has Thea (NS) and System Shock (PC) up for order as distro titles.  LRG has announced Mary Skelter 2 (NS) as a distro title coming in late November.

LRG announced Wandersong for NS and PS4 for next Friday.  This last Friday had 6 Switch titles available for order and currently next Friday is looking like it'll be 5 Switch titles.  They're really ramping things up as opposed to staying with a reasonable number of releases like other pubs.

SLG had Door Kickers Action Squad up for order this last weekend for NS/PS4.

Gigantic Army (NS) went up on various outlets (PA/VGP.ca/VGNY/etc).  Allegedly this is the start of a new lim print publisher who does distro with a bunch of companies.  PEGI rated games being sold in NA/EU/JP.

I jumped on Evoland yesterday. I've always been interested in checking out those games so I couldn't pass that one up.

A public service announcement, the Trine Series 1-3 set that is exclusive to Gamestop appears to be the ONLY way to get those games physical, on the Switch at least (not sure about other platforms). I found out the hard way today that the Ultimate Collection for the Switch only has Trine 4 on the cart, there is a packed-in code that you redeem for the other 3 games. :(

I'm curious to know if it will have all  the DLC on Disc or not...

I've Been informed it' listed at most retailers in the USA.

Can somebody tell me what the appeal is of LRG?
Well, it used to be that LRG offered die hard physical collectors a chance at games that otherwise would never see a brick and mortar store. However, along the way they got that mission statement crossed up with the (un?)intended consequence of FOMO and scalpers causing huge spikes of their products on the secondary market.

Then they started  believing their own press and thinking people would buy just about any turd they put in a box, coupled with them determined to stomp the market into oblivion by selling multiple products per week nearly every week this year.

Thank you for the answer! The ps4 started out as great collecting system because Europe got a lot of exclusives but now with all these limited offerings it will be impossible to complete the collection ever!

Yeah I agree, if you’re a completionist collector these limited releases are a total nightmare. Just keeping track of all of them is already tedious. However if you’re a collector that only buys selective titles based on preference then LRG provides options to those collectors to own and collect a physical version.

I only buy and collect games that I play or see myself playing, so I pick up a handful of LRG titles throughout the year. So for a collector like myself, the appeal is there for me to own a physical version over digital for the titles I am interested in.

They claim it's a 'new foil cover & updated version with patches on-disc'. Which is really a bunch of BS. It's got to have something to do with that vinyl release, like somehow they had to have the game with it for contract reasons. I doubt we'll ever know... or that it will sell.

I really wish they'd knock it off with the damn vinyl. That and all of the other damn overpriced merch they slap on the page that's just clutter and in the way. I'm okay with the distributed titles like the Idea Factory games (even if they are a little on the pricey side) but I definitely need to do better research on what they release. I wouldn't have sprung for the Jumanji had I known it was getting a regular release in stores but that's my own fault for a lack of due diligence.

As for releases, I wish they would just stick to Fridays for everything, distributed titles as well as their regular stuff. They really ought to limit it to just 2 released titles a week as well. It comes to roughly 100 titles a year which is still excessive but they really ought to curtail what they decide to put on physical release. I never would have picked up titles like Tharsis and Wandersong had I looked them up before purchasing them.  :P

Walmart is now exclusively selling Ubisoft two pack game bundles.

One is the Tom Clancy's Bundle with The Division 2 and a newer version of Rainbow 6 Siege. This is for both PS4 and Xbox One.

Another is a Switch bundle with Mario + Rabbids and Starlink. Starlink being just the game case and not the whole box with toys.

They both have sleeves covering half of the cases.

World of Simulators now has a Switch version with 3 games instead of 5 like the PS4 version. Not sure if that's on Xbox One or not.

There's also a version of Race with Ryan on PS4 with a "Special Offer - Toy Car Inside!" but I'm not sure that's limited to just Walmart.

You can remove Warned Collectors from that list, they never made anything. They went radio silent shortly after being caught lying about production updates (they never even placed orders with Nintendo) in April last year and closed a few months later.

Snagged that earlier today. Forgot to get Streets of Rage 4 so that along with Shadowgate and Panzer plus a Saturn controller and Bluetooth dongle = ouch for the wallet.  :P Went regular edition on all of them as well, can't bring myself to pay the extra $30 or so each for their special editions.  :-X

Passed on the Star Wars PC releases last week as I feel I could find those at HPB with a little digging for a fraction of the price and can use something like DosBox to get them running. Also, my cousin's friend inquired about DRM or something on the C&C release and was essentially told it was a Steam code. Seems kinda dumb to pay so much for a physical copy of a digital unlock key.  :o

Not rare but an interesting release - Mortal Kombat 11 is getting a massive DLC upgrade called Aftermath & I see on Amazon it is listed on Disc.
So I see there will be a Physical Release for this Aftermath Edition:

https://www.amazon.com/Mortal-KOMBAT-11-Aftermath-Kollection-PlayStation/dp/B08863N9WZ/

Does anyone have any details if the extra content will be on Disc or not? I've been waiting for complete Edition for MK11 for quite some time now - NetherRealm as a company have been quite consistent in delivering Complete Editions, so any news on this would be appreciated!

For some reason or another, I was going over the E3 2019 lineup and so far everything except two releases that were announced have come out; Papers, Please for Vita & some DS compilation cart. Papers had a 2020 release and the other was TBA. Then there's Super Meat Boy for Vita. Apparently it got pushed out as part of a blind box purchase and didn't get it's own weekly release. Copies on ebay are over $125. What the hell happened there?  :o

Went CE for PS4 myself, always give Shantae that extra bit of love.  ;)

I wonder what's holding up Night in the Woods and Blaster Master Zero?

Anyway, I still find it odd that they didn't give Super Meat Boy a full release and all of a sudden it's just out there. Odd. I like Super Meat Boy but I don't $125 off of eBay like it.  :P

I also wonder if there will be any Aftermath DLC or if that's the end of the game.

NitW is held up due to some controversy that happened last year surrounding the game.  I'm not sure about BMZ, but I think that might be releasing relatively soon (as in the next few months)

Sorry I forgot to explain SMB as well.  SMB is waiting on the relase of Super Meat Boy Forever so they can be sold at the same time.

Oh, so we're never getting it then? LOL

A shame too, because it seems no one cares about SMBF since it's an autorunner - I know I don't.

Unfamiliar with NitW or any controversy surrounding it. I didn't even remember it from the first viewing of their announcement.  :P

So SMB is still due for an official release even though it was offered as part of the blind bag purchase. I guess those copies on eBay will drop like a rock when that happens.

Autorunner...like those levels on SMB3 where the stage keeps moving to the right kind of thing? Ewwww.....

Kind of.  And auto-runner like Super Mario Run, where your character never stops running forward.

It's undergone so many changes and iterations that is possible.  I just know the autorunner part is still there, because I flat out asked Team Meat about it after some people thought that it went away as part of one of the overhauls.

Well, Blaster Master is here, finally..

TBH I'm bummed out that it's 2 separate games, they could have easily put both on one SKU and did a Blaster Master 1 and 2 Collection.

Ah well, probably skip it then, too much for my liking. Would have picked it up if they were together on one cart.

I created the entries. Admittedly, I never know how to date limited released titles, since they ship at various times and often unannounced. So, I tend to date them as the date the pre-order goes live. Would it make more sense to label such entries as released, or to leave the date empty in this moment? If the latter, what is the criteria for the released date supposed to be? The title has not shipped yet.

Their release date should be when they get physically released or shipped, not the pre-order date. If a release date is not known, an entry probably shouldn't be created as a physical item.

Also, after going through the style guide section, it seems less and less to make sense to use "unreleased (but official)" for anything besides prototypes or back-doored items. I would set it for Official Release, although a more appropriate option would be "Official Release (Upcoming)" maybe we can get that kind of option added.

What dhaabi is trying to explain is that Limited Print Releases don't have "release dates" like a normal retail release.  There is the day the game goes up for preorder, the day preorders end, and an expected release window of 202X, Qx 202X, Month 202X, etc.  They don't say day and date when they start shipping, and these titles aren't street dated or anything like that.  These companies aren't capable of being professionals and having a real release date.  They sell thousands of copies of a game, but when they finally start shipping, they only ship maybe 200 packages a day, so there isn't really anything solid to go by except for the order dates.

Generally I leave the release date values null for limited print games because it's disingenuous to say Celeste released Jan 2018 when it didn't actually start shipping until like December 2019.

Creature in the Well for instance says Q3 2020 as a release date.  It's definitely not out yet.  Should be the Unreleased (but official) in my head canon until someone gets a copy in the mail and then goes and marks it as Official Release.  Which is generally what I do when I get copies of stuff in the mail from these jokers.
https://www.iam8bit.com/collections/collectors-editions/products/creature-in-the-well-nintendo-switch-physical-edition

Limited Print Releases are hot garbage for tracking.

Caught the Highlights after the show. There are some interesting titles there that I definitely will pick up. I have some digitally and will wait and see what the final product looks like before I make the purchase.

I'm definitely getting these on Switch:

- Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2
- Castlevania Anniversary Collection (got this digitally already but I want to own this) ;)
- New River City Girls
- Shantae
- Shantae: Risky's Revenge
- The Mummy Demastered (got this digitally)

On the fence:

- Grandia HD Collection  (got this digitally)
- Return of the Obra Dinn
- Mighty Gunvolt Burst

Seems like quite a few orders to be made ;)

Over the last two years or so, LRG's lineup hasn't impressed me, but every now and then something of interest is planned to be released. I'll definitely be picking up Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling and the next installment of River City Girls. I'll have to give more thought to if I also want to invest in Papers, Please and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, though.

I know a bunch of fullset vita collectors who didn't manage to get a copy.  I personally wasn't able to get a copy.  I know a lot of Papers Please fans who weren't able to get a copy.  Just in general for every person I saw get a copy, I saw about 10 say they didn't.

Personally, I'm fine, I'll play it on PC DRM-Free or re-up my PS+ and play it worst case.  I'm still waiting for LRG to announce the PS4/NS ports and their eventual physical release.

Ah maybe so. I was interested if it does get a PS4 release at one point (and they actually do preorders). But now I'm wary of playing it with analog sticks.

New Limited Release company surfaced earlier this week called Premium Edition Games

https://premiumeditiongames.com/

Seems like they focus on Physical Switch releases only - First game up for pre-order is Super Blood Hockey

Few more titles available in their pipeline - Pigeon Dev Games Collection and A Robot Named Fight. Currently it says Sold Out but they haven't started the sales yet for these two games according to their twitter feed.

(https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0380/1418/9701/files/3D_Switch_PigeonDev_Games_3_480x480.png?v=1596811608)  (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0380/1418/9701/files/3D_Switch_ARNF_2_480x480.png?v=1596812117)

At the moment I'm only interested in A Robot Named Fight, had plenty of fun with it when it was initially released digitally.

Some info on their releases, seems like they're doing something similar to Limited Run with the trading cards:

Nintendo Switch Physical Case and Game
    Double-sided Insert
    Full Color Manual
    A "Special" Trading Card
    A Logo Sticker
First Prints of the game will have a hand-drawn Full Color Glossy Slipcase by legendary artist Paul E. Niemeyer of Mortal Kombat Fame
Option to Add-On the Premium Strategy Guide

Guess time will tell on the quality and release schedule of this new company, will keep a lookout on their initial releases to see how it turns out before I order anything.

As depicted anyways, I cannot find any of these on Ebay except for the same stock photo.

I do see that Special Reserve Games sold a bundle for these two games but they are separate game cases that are each put into those Dog boxes.

It's for sale on Best Buy, just released today. Probably why there aren't any photos online right now.

OK that makes sense. That entry was made with Official Release set instead of the upcoming option, so I wasn't sure.

I don't think it's been mentioned on our forums before, but I've just learned about Japanese publisher B-Side Games (https://b-sidegames.stores.jp) who is among those listed before who publishes small print runs for Nintendo Switch games. A few of their titles have already been added to the database, so some of our users are already well aware of them. However, I feel as though most of VGC's small-print collectors do not.

Ordinarily, B-Side does offer international shipping, although I'm not sure if their announced shipping pause due to Covid-19 has since resumed.

LRG put up Super Meat Boy today and had a Vita release for it. I had a separate tab open for it and when I went to hit refresh it popped up a page for Lawbreakers.  :o

Apparently it was some kind of anti-bot measure and instructed you to go to the main page and click on SMB for Vita. Only problem is, there was no listing for a good 30 seconds. I saw the CE version sell out instantly and finally hit refresh and it showed up. I was able to get a copy locked down but my cousin missed out.  :-\

I certainly did NOT miss this mad scramble nonsense. I get that it's Vita and they don't have the chips available but I MUCH prefer the open pre-order model they've since adopted.

Well, despite just recently learning about B-Side Games, I've just read that the publisher is shutting down. At the moment, a final sale with highly marked down prices for items is going on. International shipping is steep, but I suppose that makes up for the low prices now.

If anyone knows as to where this company 1Print Games is based out of, we can make sure these things are located in the correct categories
Eternal Radiance currently in Switch [JP]: https://vgcollect.com/item/209257
Eternal Radiance currently in Switch [CN]: https://vgcollect.com/item/214528
Also since the second one was actually sold "bagged" and the game case inside has an alternate cover so it will be possible to create an entry just for the game that is included in that pack as a separate entry, but again once we can know where these games are from.

Here are photos for the regular version: https://www.ebay.com/itm/134008194613
Here are photos for the bagged version with different cover: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165274212997
Here is a video showing how that version is packaged: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKwkxdryoV4

Their website doesn't say where they are from, they own an alternate domain that has a .es (1pgam.es) extension but it is not because of Spain, but because it looks "cute" or smart I guess. I looked on their twitter and it doesn't say there either.

I think identifying where 1PrintGames is located formally would require contacting them. I can't find the information through any of their other social media pages or within their FAQ page.

For what it's worth, it seems that 1PrintGames' products ship from either Japan or Singapore but are intended for a global audience. With that in mind, could their products have varying set categories depending on the origin of item shipping? Or should we be adamant about trying to identify the company's home country?

It is currently the way we handle these third (or is it second?) party publishers. The exception is when the publisher makes region "specific" versions like this:

They seem to be in Singapore.
My copy of the #214528 - "Eternal Radiance (Authenticity Card)" was shipped out using SingPost. Like dhaabi mentioned their products based/shipped out SG but for a global audience.

Also, the developer is Visualnoveler listed on back of the case and on steam. I couldn't find them on the developer list unless I missed it, so the dev field was left as n/a.

What I meant is that some of their products are shipped from Japan while others are shipped from Singapore. However, 1PrintGames could be based somewhere else altogether.

I reached out to 1Print Games last week to see if they could provide an answer.

Hi dhaabi,

1Print Games is headquartered in Singapore with a regional office in Japan to assist with logistics and production. I guess you can identify as a Singapore company.

Hope that helps. Thank you.

Regards,
1Print Games

If you bought Furi from LRG, Game Bakers seem to be offering a free digital copy of the game due to the DLC that just came out not being compatible with the LRG versions of the game.
