edit to change the title from "VenusBlood FRONTIER" to "VenusBlood FRONTIER International - Package Edition" was rejected, not quite sure why (but I'm guessing either all-caps subtitle

The reject was indeed because of the caps.

Going to have to take your word on whether "Package Edition" is actually present on the box, since I can't find any pictures of the actual box for this or the other one you linked to. I already corrected the caps issue on that other entry.

okay, this is awkward beacause I just looked over both of the boxes and there is no "Package Edition", so yeah......

I'm guessing then
https://vgcollect.com/item/172267 should be just "VenusBlood Frontier International"
https://vgcollect.com/item/209520 should be just "VenusBlood Hollow International"

edit to change the title from "VenusBlood FRONTIER" to "VenusBlood FRONTIER International - Package Edition" was rejected, not quite sure why (but I'm guessing either all-caps subtitle or "Package Edition"). Anyway, I'd rather just ask someone here to figure it out, than risk another rejected edit.

So, current title is not correct, there is no such thing as "VenusBlood FRONTIER" in the west (and the platform is PC [NA] - physical PC release in NA region), western release uses the "International" suffix in title, as seen here https://ninetail.info/td10I/VenusBloodFRONTIER_intl_en.html (slightly NSFW, screenshot of the important part: https://ibb.co/K5MfyHh)

As for "Package Edition", vndb refers to this release as "Package Edition", original kickstarter referred to all physical tiers as "Physical Package"

Also, the naming of this item should be consistent with https://vgcollect.com/item/209520 they are from same publisher, in same series, use same "International" suffix for western release, in both cases vndb refers to those releases as "Package Edition" while on a kickstarter they are referred to as "Physical Package".

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Duplicate List 2020

I guess I screwed up and added duplicate Root Double: Before Crime * After Days Xtend Edition:
original: https://vgcollect.com/item/190634
duplicate: https://vgcollect.com/item/191160

however I would like to note, that "Xtend Edition" here is not edition name but is part of the title (this is what got me confused, I thought there was "regular" and "limited" editions of this release, only after I created the duplicate listing I realized the UPC on the original listing was same... turns out there is only limited edition - publisher has the listing titled as "Root Double: Before Crime * After Days Xtend Edition [Limited Edition]" - https://www.play-asia.com/root-double-before-crime-after-days-xtend-edition-limited-editi/13/70dpsb). So yeah, not sure how that should be handled, whether it should be "Root Double: Before Crime After Days Xtend Edition - Limited Edition" or "Root Double: Before Crime After Days - Xtend Edition - Limited Edition" or just "Root Double: Before Crime After Days - Xtend Edition" (the last is confusing because as I stated - Xtend Edition is not the name/description of the release but rather part of the title).

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: NSFW covers
« on: August 29, 2019, 10:35:31 am »
Okay then - so basically questionable images are permitted, explicit images are forbidden.

So a followup question (was mentioned in my main post): are there any plans to eventually add support for NSFW items (perhaps not visible unless explicitely configured in account options, or by default images not visible, with a reveal button)? Basically I'm not asking here about style guide but about possible future implementation of functionality that would allow us to have NSFW items.

Video Game Database Discussion / NSFW covers
« on: August 28, 2019, 12:34:47 pm »
Before anything else - consider all links posted here to be NSFW.

I don't think I saw anything about this in official style guide, I couldn't find any other posts regarding this, so I'm going to ask here: what is current policy on NSFW covers?

I'm talking about items like https://vgcollect.com/item/166470 (cover can be seen here: https://vndb.org/v21676), https://vgcollect.com/item/159740 (cover: http://www.mangagamer.com/r18/detail.php?goods_type=3&product_code=216), https://vgcollect.com/item/159057 (cover: https://www.jlist.com/category/games-computers/visual-novels/jast007).
I've seen that for some items people uploaded "censored" covers, for example https://vgcollect.com/item/115787 has some censoring (original cover can be seen here: http://www.mangagamer.com/r18/detail.php?goods_type=3&product_code=217), however I personally don't feel that this would be right approach.

So my question: is there any official approach as to how such covers should be handled (don't upload at all / upload censored / upload uncensored)?
And if it's the first one (don't upload at all) then are there any plans to add support for NSFW cover images (like for example the simplest solution would be probably to add checkbox for NSFW items and add CSS blur and click listener to remove said blur on click).

The title was changed from "Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash - Girls' of Paradise Collector's Edition" to "Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash: Girls' of Paradise - Collector's Edition"
I think this is incorrect, the "Girls' of Paradise" is part of edition name, not game title (similarly to how for example other CEs in that series are named: "Senran Kagura Estival Versus - Kagura Millennium Festival Edition", "Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus - Let's Get Physical Limited Edition", etc).
IMO it should be "Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash - Girls' of Paradise Edition" or "Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash - Girls' of Paradise Collector's Edition", but since the original change was made by an admin and I don't want to step on anyone's toes here, I'll let you decide which one would be correct.

Not really erroneous, but inconsistent:
"Playstation VR Demo Disc" (https://vgcollect.com/item/113368) is listed as "PlayStation 4 [NA]" platform item while "Playstation VR Demo Disc 2.0" (https://vgcollect.com/item/136666) is listed as "PlayStation 4 Demo" platform item.

I think they should definitely be in the same category, not sure whether to move DD1 to "PlayStation 4 Demo" or DD2 to "PlayStation 4 [NA]", probably the latter as there is also EU Demo Disc 1 (https://vgcollect.com/item/136560) that is different from NA Demo Disc 1.

Anyway, I don't think normal users can edit the platform for items (correct me if I'm wrong though) so it's up to someone else to do this.

For a controller, this is going to be the PCB inside, so let's hear some opinions about how such an entry should be named, and what pictures we should allow for such an item.
Well actually, this simplifies things. The controller is based on Brook Universal Fighting Board, so I guess this can be added to database, and then included in a collection with appropriate note.
I like this idea, so I think I'm going to go with it.
edit: https://vgcollect.com/item/143024 , not really sure about the "Hardware / Accessory".

I'm finishing a project I will soon want to add to my collection (just waiting for few final components). I want to keep information about it somewhere in the collection tracker (which would be VGCollect), however I'm not sure if and how should I go about it.

So here's my question, what is VGCollect stance on totally custom diy hardware. I mean homemade stuff, not anything you can buy anywhere.
Things like custom fightsticks, MAME cabinets, diy arcades, or controllers. Like for example custom controllers people are sharing here: https://projectdiva.net/community/threads/project-diva-homemade-controllers.1465/
That's actually the project I'm finishing, custom Project DIVA FT controller.

There is nothing about things like that in "OFFICIAL Style Guide", can I add it as Hardware - Homebrew, and name it for example "Custom Project DIVA Future Tone Controller" without adding photo (so other people can add this item to their collections, even if their controllers may be slightly different)? Or maybe I should add the photo and in that case this will be one of a kind item which only I will have in collection? Or maybe I should skip this item entirely and track it outside of VGCollect?

Site Feedback / Bug: no valid session required to create item
« on: October 20, 2017, 08:51:17 am »
Steps to reproduce (probably, can't check right now as I don't have anything to add to the DB atm):
1. Login
2. Submit new item
3. Fill all required fields
4. Wait for session to expire (or log out manually on different tab)
5. Submit item

Expected Result:
Error message about timed out session.

Actual Result:
Item gets created with no information about the user that created it (see https://vgcollect.com/item/133868 for an example, in History there's Created entry with user "NA" when actually the item was created by me).

Incorrect (old / prerelease) cover image - it includes provisional PEGI 16, while the game was finally rated PEGI 12.
http://www.pegi.info/en/index/global_id/505/?searchString=GOD+EATER%E2%84%A22+RAGE+BURST&agecategories=&genre=&organisations=&platforms=&countries=&submit=Search#searchresults
http://static.bandainamcogames.eu/sites_products/god-eater/uploads/2016/06/ge2rb_packshots_pegi12.png

Likely why my edit to set rating to PEGI 12 was rejected as 'Incorrect Information.' (unless it was something else incorrect, in which case I have no idea what...).

Unfortunately it is really hard to find correct image on the internet, and I don't have camera good enough to take clear photo of my copy...
