It has to be the Batman games I mean who wouldn't want to be a billionaire ninja detective take down thugs in a gorgeous Gotham?  Freeflow combat is smooth as butter, the villains are legendary, and the stories can be dark and epic( my favorite part is the story) I think this is where Batman games shine for sure over the Spiderman ones

I have a physical copy of Dragon Quest XI S which I beat 3 years ago, becoming maybe my second-favorite RPG of all time. However, my PS4 DVD-ROM drive failed soon after, and I have been relegated to downloaded games only since then. Fixing the drive is extremely difficult to do myself, apparently requiring soldering ability and switching out chips. Taking it to a repair shop would cost $160 and up, and even refurbished PS4s are still going for $300+. So I just don’t think it’s worth the money to fix it or replace it.

I’ve been able to re-buy most of my physical PS4 games digitally for great prices by waiting for sales, but DQXI never went below $40 regularly and $23.99 on sale. Finally my patience ran out to play this masterpiece again so I gave in to the current $23.99 PSN sale price. Then I tried to complete either Dragon Age Inquisition or Batman Arkham Knight before starting it (I dislike having too many games in progress at once) but it was taking too long and I just couldn’t wait.

Aaaaaaahhhhhh. It’s like seeing an old friend after years apart. How I missed you, Cobblestone Tor. Time for me to lose another 140+ hours to this game while I cherish every second.
Out of curiosity, with your experience playing both physically and digitally now,  do you find yourself leaning towards one format over the other for future purchases?

General / Re: How Many Video Games Do You Think Exist Today?

I don't think you can even give an approximation since there are a lot of video games that aren't registered, and also I don't know where to start when I have to give this number. I mean, sure, you can look on Steam to see how many games are there and on PlayStation and Xbox, but that won't cover it, so I have no idea for an answer

Sorry for my very late reply. Couldn't resist writing about my dream room.

My ideal game room would be a cozy haven.

A spacious room adorned with dimmable LED lights. In the center, a sectional sofa, something like this, big enough to comfortably seat my friends for marathon gaming sessions. Surrounding us, shelves filled with board games, consoles, and VR headsets.
On one side, a high-end gaming PC setup with multiple monitors. And in the corner, a retro gaming station, complete with classic consoles and arcade machines.
To top it off, a mini-fridge stocked with refreshments and snacks.

Well, I always used other people's PCs, but 3 years ago I bought a MacBook M1 and it still holds up today. Well, not to the best capacity, but it holds (I'm in denial and need to buy a new one)

You don't need the most expensive PC money can buy unless you can get one on sale, but even then We or at least I would like to know what kind of video games do you plan on playing with one, so we could distinguish would you would need to play those game with. I am a retro gamer so I don't need the best of the best to play games with.
Do you think there's a big difference in PC specs needed between emulating older games versus playing modern titles at lower graphical settings?

Just finished Perfect Blue and whoa, that movie left me shaken. Satoshi Kon truly crafted a masterpiece of psychological horror. Mima's descent into fractured reality was terrifying and relatable, blurring the lines between idol fantasy and disturbing obsession. The animation perfectly captured the growing sense of unease, and the ending...man, that ending is still messing with my head

Modern consoles and high-end PCs boast the most realistic graphics, like ray-tracing for lighting and high-resolution textures. But graphics aren't everything. Games with less technical power can be beautiful too, thanks to their unique art style. Classic games can even hold charm with their pixel art

I'm playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and is living up to the hype so far.  New York City feels even more expansive than before, and swinging around as Miles Morales is a blast.  His Venom Blast takedown feels really satisfying, especially when shutting down some petty crime.

I'm curious to see how the switching between Peter and Miles works in the long run, but the initial segments with Miles are impressive.  The combat seems smoother than the first game, and I'm itching to see what new villain threats they've introduced – Venom sounds like a formidable foe
