Thanks @burningdoom, I was planning on getting Resident Evil (though I do have it for PS1) the RE series is one of my favorites.

I'll have to check out Astal and Shinobi, I love platformers (and live action cut scenes  ;D)

Panzer Dragoon also looks like alot of fun, and I'll buy anything with Sonic on it  ::) lol

Classic Video Games / A couple Saturn games?
« on: April 09, 2013, 03:05:57 pm »
Hey, guys!
I just traded a hard drive for this Sega Saturn.
It came with Virtua Cop 2 and 2 controllers.
This is the first time I've ever played a Saturn (Exciting, lol)
The only problem is the RF adapter is really fuzzy.
(It's gotta be the adapter, because when i move the adapter the picture worsens or clears up)
Anyways, I'm headed to the store later this week and my question is, what are some good Saturn games to start a collection with?
I've been hearing NiGHTS into dreams and Panzer Dragoon are great.

Thanks!

Site Feedback / Collection/ Game Room banners
« on: April 09, 2013, 02:10:46 pm »
I love how before you log in, you can see pictures of the users' collections and game rooms.
And darko has started a great thread for these pictures.
But I think it would be cool to see a members game room picture as a banner when you click on "view collection".

It's just an idea. I don't know what something like that would cost to pull off, but it sure would be a nice touch!

Hey, guys!
Finally took a few pictures of my game room/ studio/ bedroom lol.
I share a room with my little brother, so I only have a small amount of space to work with.
I just rearranged the entire room, it took two full days, but it was worth it.
Picked up that Sega Saturn today!
Any suggestions?

If you're at all interested, I have some music up at soundcloud.com/torvez
I recently started working on some chiptunes. Thought someone may enjoy it.

Anyways, here's the pictures! (Sorry if I went overboard)

Psx, PS2, blu-ray

Actually made that "minitainment center" (thanks for the term ffxik) on top of the dresser myself. I love it, it's perfect for extra controllers and random console shit lol

All of these are great I love that castlevania display @scott.
@zierlaz I love that shelving!
I'll post some pictures once I clean up a bit
It's nothing near as big as some of these, but I'm digging it so far.

Classic Video Games / Re: Whos buying a Retron 5?!
« on: April 04, 2013, 02:34:37 am »
Depending on it's price, Ill probably end up getting one somewhere down the line.
I like to take bring my consoles to my friend's places.
This would work perfect for throwing in a bag with a couple of games.
I stumbled across the announcement for the Retron 5 when I was looking to buy a 3.

Wow, those are great finds!
A few years after my stupid decision to trade all my NES games (about 40 titles) NES and SNES to Gamestop (I just know they ended up in that dumpster) for Chaos Legion.
I came across the best thing I've ever found at a garage sale.
An original near-complete NES.
2 controllers, zapper, RF adapter and super mario/duck hunt/ wctm cart.
All of the manuals for everything and the "now you're playing with power" poster.
For the whopping price of $5!
The only thing missing was the box.
It also came with Ninja Gaiden, Skate or Die, Tetris, Bible Adventures and Dr. Mario!
Everything was (and is) in great shape.
I nearly wet my pants!

Hardware and Tech / Re: NES AV Fix?
« on: April 01, 2013, 01:48:56 am »
Thanks for the reply, ffxik!
I do not have a de-soldering iron, but I am going to be picking one up soon with a kit.
I might give it a go after I do some solder/ de-solder practice on some of my circuit bending projects.
But I really don't want to mess it up, because I love that thing.
I may just let it get to the point where I can't see any picture or hear sound and then do it, because all hope is gone then.
I really do appreciate the help and suggestions!
More helpful than any youtube video or instructable I came across (I'm kinda lazy though, lol)
I will let everyone know before I decide to do it though.
Thanks again!

Hardware and Tech / NES AV Fix?
« on: March 31, 2013, 10:40:45 pm »
I think my NES has a short in it's AV port.  :-\
It won't show a picture or play sound unless I gently pull the cables forward.
It works perfectly fine after I do that.
It isn't the cables, because I tried a few different sets with the same results.
Can anyone help me through a repair if I decide to pull this bad boy apart?
My soldering skills aren't too great, but I think I have a basic understanding of how it works.
It's one of the original toaster models by the way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
