Modern Video Games / Re: The Nintendo Switch (Formerly NX) - March 2017
« on: October 21, 2016, 06:05:15 pm »
While it was clear that the Wii U wouldn't have physical backwards compatibility with the Switch, seems 3DS won't either.  Likely only digital with that.  Tad disappointing, but as long as I can still get it through the eshop and play some of the games I skipped there, I'll be alright with this.
They may not get them out very quickly unfortunately... It took a long time for Wii and DS to come to Wii U. I hope Wii U and 3DS come much quicker to Switch.

Hoping that too, that maybe a lot of the Wii U and 3DS games that are already available can just be brought over easily with little work.  The Wii U stuff doesn't bother me though, I own basically everything I want already and I'm not getting rid of my Wii U (I ain't losing my Hyrule Warriors data!), and it seems like the Switch could be getting enhanced ports of Wii U games anyways, but I only own a few 3DS games and most of what I've played were Zelda games.  I skipped out on most 3DS games because I don't really like playing on handhelds.
OHH!!! 3DS games on the TV!!!! I will rebuy my whole fucking library for that!!!

NX is easier to type, anyways.

I will say I'm glad they no longer use the "Wii" name anywhere. The Switch is kind of a ho-hum name, but that's just me being nitpicky.
Again, at least the name is sensical.

NX GONA GIVE IT TO YA

Thank god for databases like this, if only there were more time to play the darned things rather than arrange them and find places to put new ones  ::)

Oh my God. This is the truest statement ever said.

My collection specializes in sitting on shelves.

Amen.

Frankly I thought the Wii was dead but I believe a new Just Dance game was released and sold surprisingly well so for all we know PS3 & 360 will be serving a purpose for years to come.

I think I understand what you're envisioning here  you want the experience just like the Yu-Gi-Oh Anime,  I feel like it won't be practical for an actual card game and I'll go out on a whim and say Konami won't do that.  Just all of the things that has happened with Konami recently, I just don't care about what they're doing anymore.

Yeah that is what I was envisioning. I think it would be pretty cool if you could upload your own deck and even if they use the models from old games like Duelist of the Roses, Falsebound Kingdom, and Capsule Monsters, I would be pretty satisfied. And it would be cool to face people with my own deck online without having to go all the way to a hobby shop to lose and turn around and go home hahahaha

At least we're getting Bloodstained, and Kojima is having at least a one night stand with Sony. Konami may have the IP but the talent is still out there.

So I was thinking if people are even remotely okay buying another Konami game, what do people think of a VR Yu-Gi-Oh game?

I think Konami can shove it up their ass.

Tell us how you really feel.  ;D

Pahaha I agree. And they wouldn't be smart enough to do anything anyway but just dreaming. I'm pretty bitter about Silent Hills.
