General / Re: Import games: What do you have? What do you want?

Most of my Neo Geo collection is Japanese, the price is insane for American versions, a $15 dollar Japanese version will be $2000 for an American version.
A few Saturn games, Strikers 1945, marvel super heroes vs Street fighter, X-men vs Street fighter.
Im really looking for Astra superstars
A couple Ps1 imports Gunner's Heaven, Policenauts
I don't know if the FM Towns counts as it was only released in Japan

I didn't sell off a lot of my stuff maybe like 20 Ps1 games 10 ps2 games. The only one I regret is my original Xbox collection, only because I had Conker: Live and Reloaded and Stubbs the Zombie, both are kind of expensive now.
On the other hand though, I did get one of my best deals from a bud down a couple houses, N64 three controllers, expansion pack, and about 30 games for twenty bucks

Just thought I'd let you know, there is a sale this weekend on PSN, not a whole lot of games but there are some good ones in there.
I actually picked up Braid, Tales of Monkey Island bundle and Tokyo Jungle for a whopping $2.97, check it out

Im not a hundred percent sure but, my genesis had the same problem, I just took it apart and re-soldered the controller port. Checking various pictures on the internet of the controller port, that might be the problem

Very nice! I love tats, I myself actually have my left arm sleeved. Congrats man, they are addicting especially when you have a fantastic artist like that!

Oh man it's tough with the Neo Geo, simply because it's fairly easy an inexpensive to make a "conversion." When I buy pricier games I buy from other trustworthy collectors and make sure to get detailed pictures, and ask a lot of questions

Contra 3, I'd prefer to get it complete, Contra is one of my favorite series. Only saw one once, at a local store, but a guy who just bought a snes was looking for some games and I recommended it to him... Haven't seen it since

Expensive stuff: Garou AES Japanese version, amazing 2d fighter really happy to have it. Muscle Bomber and Libble Rabble for the Marty. Love the system want to get more "legit" games. Love the cases too, haha slightly bigger than the AES cases just to hold a jewel case. I decided to throw Jackal up there too, found it at a thrift store today 3 bucks

Gamecube and Wii U. Pikmin 3 is amazing

360 binge lately, getting cheaper and Im really liking Dead Rising and Lost Planet. Have not opened Fable 3 yet since I haven't beat Fable 2. Looking forward to it

General / Re: Goodwill prices.
« on: February 28, 2014, 12:10:30 pm »
There are two thrift stores by me, a goodwill and an ARC thrift shop and the ARC is better on prices but don't get as good of stuff. I bought my Secret of Mana for $25 from Goodwill, a little high for a thrift store but cheaper none the less. Unfortunately, Goodwill's prices are ridiculous here right now, it seems like they used to look up prices on ebay and then charge like 5 to 10 dollars cheaper, but now it's like they go on ebay and look for the highest price, case and point, they have Gears of War complete for $30... That's insane

General / Re: What System Do You Have the Most Games For?
« on: February 26, 2014, 09:51:47 pm »
5-Ps2-93
4-Genesis-95
3-Gamecube-111
2-NES-114
1-Ps1-116

Like everyone else, the playstation systems are easy and cheap to find. With the exception of the gamecube, these were built up from thrift stores

Classic Video Games / Re: TurboDuo/Grafx16/CD Attachment?
« on: February 23, 2014, 06:40:51 am »
I've never had any issues with my Turbo with the cd attachment, but it's not my "go-to" system anyways, if you are looking at difference with price, unfortunately the turbo, with cd attachment and the "super system card" needed to play the better games, are about the same price if not more expensive...
P.S. I've got a standard Turbografx for sale right now, P.M. if interested

Hardware and Tech / Re: Dreamcast begins to fail, Suggestions? HELP!
« on: February 05, 2014, 09:55:04 pm »
I'd recommend re-calibrating the lens, it's not too difficult, just a little intimidating at first, if you want to clean it use rubbing alcohol, preferably 90%, and a q-tip and just clean it very gently, like you're barely even touching it. I've had to do that a couple times with my dreamcast and Saturn, until I just re-calibrated it. Just be careful

Classic Video Games / Re: Sonic Xtreme for Sega Saturn
« on: February 03, 2014, 11:43:10 pm »
I've seen multiple videos of Sonic Xtreme, and I personally think it looked really cool... If those are in fact real, however, I don't think it would have done well against Mario and Crash. Those games changed everything
