I used to have the Beast Wars Transmetals N64 boxed, Blockbuster Exclusive, but for the life of me I have no idea what happened to it.

The Beatles: Rock Band
Green Day: Rock Band

I'll have to go and change that Beatles one back now :(

Both of those examples are correct like that. It is how it is written in the copyright block on the back.

Finally finished adding all Sega GameCube games to the db, including annoying EU versions. I'm sure some EU versions are missing, those I couldn't confirm to exist (no pics found at all) I didn't bother adding.

Added

[CZ] Czech Republic
[SK] Slovakia
for use in [EU] categories

What about multiple regions for example France and Netherlands? As it should be written [FR][NL] or [FR/NL]. I prefer second option [AA/BB] as it is easier to read.

We don't seem to have a rule for that. I think we've been each doing the different method, I use [FR][NL]. I am the opposite, I think the one I do is easier to read.

@ctracy87, Vectrex [US] and the 3 Neo Geo categories are not in agreement with the rest of the categories. They probably should be changed to [NA] to match.

You could use [BE] for the [FR][NL]. In Belgium they speak both languages, French, Dutch and some German  ;D.

In cases where games get labelled [FR][NL] it is due to flags or countries on the box. So this is a regional release for the appropriate languages, but it doesn't mean that it is a Belgian game.

Yes that is what it means. It is an idea from other forums, it is to protect against scammers. Having an index card or something with your username on it, and even the forum name in the picture with the item for sale proves that you have it in your possession.

Classic Video Games / Re: What does your collection specalise in?

Baseball, Hockey, Transformers and Sega are my primary collections. PC Games are also a get for me because that is my #1 platform.

Currently the Style Guide has this to say about barcodes:
Quote
UPCs are used across the U.S., Canada, and a few other countries. They're twelve digits long. Enter the numbers only, without spaces or dashes.
EANs are used in Europe and South America and are thirteen digits long. Enter the numbers only, no spaces or dashes.
ISBN codes are normally used on books and other products. These can be 10 or 13 digits long. If an item does not have a UPC, then enter the ISBN code, with dashes.
Some products (like Electronic Arts games) may have both an ISBN and a UPC code. In those cases, only use the UPC code.

This thread is to discuss how we should be entering information specifically regarding books as they do not always fit into these rules.
Let's take this as an example.
Star Trek Starfleet Command Volume II: Empires At War - BradyGames Official Strategy Guide
http://vgcollect.com/item/75311

DB Entry currently has the ISBN-13 (9780744000221) in the Barcode field.
Actual item has an ISBN-10 which is 074400022X.
And it also has a barcode which is 752073000226.
This book was sold in US, Canada and UK.

Second example.
Star Wars: Dark Forces - Official Player's Guide
http://vgcollect.com/item/63005
DB entry currently has the ISBN-10 (1-57280-022-4) in the Item Number field.
Actual item has an ISBN-13 which is 9781572800229.
This book was sold in US and Canada.

Based on our current guide, this is how these should be done.
Star Trek: UPC in barcode field, Item Number field blank, ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 put into Description field.
Star Wars: ???

The Style Guide does not take ISBN numbers into account when it comes to books. In a situation where a UPC does not exist, such as the Star Wars book, one of the ISBN numbers should be used in its place, and the other should be put into the description. However, it must be determined (where in the case of a book) which ISBN is the one we favor having in the Barcode field.

In both cases, the Item Number field should remain empty.

This is my interpretation on how to currently handle this, but I am posting it here to open it up for discussion.

Currently, items in [NA] category are implied to be US releases. The only games where you add a country code on a title is Canada.

In the past I've seen people say to use the title screen from in-game for any games that have no official box or box art representing it in any online marketplace.

That is for digital released games. For this, since it is a loose pack-in item, it will have no front nor back box art. It would fall under the same rules as Nazo Puyo on the Game Gear:
