Cash, that’s what I like collecting.  I hope one day I can collect enough cash so that I can fill up an entire vault room like Uncle Scrooge in Duck Tales.  Lately it’s been hard collecting cash if anyone has any cash they wish to part with please send to me and make I dream become a reality.

My list consist of

Conan the Barbarian (1982)
Shawshank Redemption
Aliens
Terminator
Three Stooges (1920s-1975)

I consider the Three Stooges a movie because they were originally viewable only at the movie theaters.

Yeah I hear you, just my opinion doesn’t mean much.  The Speak & Spell also has a cartridge slot and has spelling games. LOL

Marketplace / Re: NES, SNES, N64 Battery Replacement
« on: February 07, 2012, 08:32:14 am »
I managed to do this not to a game cartridge but to a device that needed constant power also to maintain its memory.  What I ended up doing was removing the circuit board and using a meter I found the positive and negative points on the opposite side of the battery. I then soldered wire at those points, had my temp battery in a battery holder that already had wires coming off it. I just added alligator clips to it and clipped it onto the wires I soldered.  I then removed the battery and replaced it.  Everything working out fine not sure if this will work on cartridge but might be worth a try.  Only thing that might be an issue is the jump in voltage but didn’t effect my application and in theory it was doing the same thing as a game cartridge.

There are other manufactures out there, I would keep it generic and name it something like Mini Table Top Arcades, and they seem to come up in the search engines with that name also.

Scott one more thing not related to this topic, I couldn't find the Sega channel adaptor anywhere do you have that listed?  I know there are two different models made.

Wow, no one has an opinion on this?  I’m sure there are a few people here that have them.

I don’t think linking all variants together is a good idea.  I know in the past with the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo when variants of the same games were released on both systems certain games would receive better marks than the other system due to different controller setups and game systems capabilities.  Perhaps the rating system may prove to be too involving maybe there should just be a top ten that you can select from your collection.  That way everyone can see your top ten picks from what you have.

Well all ratings are opinion based and the ratings would be based on a percentage on the voters you would still use the ratings at your own discretion.  After you played the game you then could add your vote lowering or improving the rating based on you own judgment.

Just a thought, I know I’ve seen games and didn’t have a clue if they were any good.  This would give a person some guidance at least.

Not sure if this has been brought up but how about adding a feature so that users can rate the games that way other people can scan though the games and decide what games they might want to pick up.
