I started a video game sleeve a while ago, I have donkey and diddy, Link, Boo, Kirby, Metroid, Ness and a blue shell. It sort of on hold now cause I'm too broke. I can't wait to continue.

Argyle, I heard of Super Stardust HD before, and I know that I would like this kind of game. I will take a look at World of Goo in the futur as well.

Foxhack, I will give it a shot, any MetroidVania deserves to be played. ;)

Thanks to you guys, (including Argyle's wife :) ) for the suggestions!

Thanks guys, I looked at some of the games you proposed, and there definitely are some great ones I need to try in there!

Desocietas, I will look into the Guild series. As for Shovel Knight, it was one of the indie titles that I already discovered, and I almost finished it. Awesome Game  :)

Krelyan,  Thanks for taking the time to write the list! The screenshots I have seen of The Starship Damrey seems good. Shadow Complex and Bastion, along with Transistor, also appeal to me. Guacamelee and SteamWorld Dig were included in the HB bundle, so I will give them a try for sure. I have heard a lot about the Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac duo, (mostly during the Awesome Games Done Quick Event), and they seem fun!

For the screenshots and the gameplay that I have seen as of now, the next Indie title on the pile will have to be Child of Light along with Journey. I love the art style, and the atmosphere that goes with it. ;)

Modern Video Games / Help with Indie Games (Wii U, 3DS & Ps3)

I just bought the Humble Bundle for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U, and I started The Fall, since it was the game that caught my attention in the HB video announcement. (Great package BTW, you guys should hit that. I hope they will repeat the offer in the futur, despite the "Only in America" frustration of the PAL territory. It probably won't happen again.)

I have player an hour an a half as of now, and I am so impressed. That atmosphere! It reminds me of that Futuristic/Creepy/Isolation/Dark first Super Metroid playthrough feeling. I was searching for that same kind of feeling for a while now

That discovery made me realize that I quite neglected the Indie scene, and that I need to dig through the past indie releases. Do you guys have suggestions in term of must play indie titles?
(I want to be aware of the classics of any genres, but I particularly love these heavy atmosphere games.)
(Wii U & 3DS, can do PS3 & 360 also.)

*No Spoilers plz.

I am aware that  Pikmin 3 and Super Luigi U are less and less seen, but I wanted to know if you guys have other games in mind.

Have I nice one! :)

Hey Guys!

I decided to buy a Wii U soon, and I was wondering what options are in front of me. I am not particularly interested by the "Mario and Luigi Wii U Bundle'', and the ''Mario Kart 8'' bundle seems to be discontinued in Quebec, Canada, where I live. The ''Wind Waker HD bundle'' also seems to be discontinued, but even if it was available, it only includes the downloadable version of the game, am I right?

Do you guys know if a new bundle is to be expected soon? I assume that smash will eventually be bundled with a console, but I don't really want to wait until then. A Wii U bundled with a downloadable game doesn't interest me much, as I want the physical thing on my shelves, like many of you here I assume..  ;)

Let me know what you guys think would be the best option possible for my situation!

Thanks!

I'm sure there will be some new bundles before the holidays, bringing back Mario Kart 8 ones perhaps, most likely a huge Smash Bros Bundle, but that one will be in December.  I've heard people bring up Refurbished systems which are a lot cheaper, so you could buy one of them and then buy the game you want separately.  Then again, I don't know what is available to you in Canada.  Can you not find one online for Mario Kart 8? It seems weird to have discontinued a bundle like that after the game released only two months back.  Then again, the Mario Bros bundle isn't bad.  That's two games basically.

Yeah, if I was buying one now I'd go refurb.  Nintendo sells them directly for $200 from what I understand.

I heard that option before as well, but I am king of nervous to order a refubrished system online. I don't like not being able to see the system before I buy it, and I would fear receiving a console which is not in brand new condition.

I heard from a podcast that two people who bought it refurb got them in mint condition, but I am still sceptical. Did any of you got any experience with that? Are you buying it from nintendo directly, or from a third party reseller?

Master of Puppets
Metallica (Black Album)
Kill 'Em All
Ride The Lightning
...And Justice For All (Mostly for ''Blackened'' and ''One'')

I like to look at Master of Puppets as a whole, and I mostly listen to it from beginning to the end. And as for the Black Album, It is hits after hits. Looking forward for your opinions!

Cheers!

I am getting deeper into Bravely Default, and I love. I didn't play A LOT of jrpg to date, and I am wondering what I could play next. As of now, am simply astounded by the gameplay mechanics present in BD, the bravely and default modes to be more precise. I was thinking about starting over Chrono Trigger..
Can someone suggest what I should play next, looking at my collection? Feel free to suggest games that are not in there as well! Playing on My 3DS would be a plus! (No Spoilers Please.)

I started Bravely Default yesterday, I just love what I saw so far! Anyone here completed it? How did you find it? (No spoilers please..)

Bravely Default is among my top 10 favorite gaming experiences. Forget all the stupid reviews you read out there about how boring and repetitive the ending may be ... it works out to be a fantastic time. The characters are all endearing in their own way. Im anxiously awaiting the announcement of a sequel.
Great! I believe Bravely Second was in production for a while am I right? But there was some problems and the executive producer left or something? Am I correct?

I played through the game and beat it a few months ago. Really fun experience especially since the gameplay+ job system gives you a lot of options to how you want to develop your characters' abilities. The music, composed by Linked Horizon(Revo as its leader) is also great to listen to as you go through the game, and I liked the monster designs quite a bit.  Only cons I would list is that the story is kind of average and flat, and that there is a section of the game near the end that involves beating a series of 4 bosses for 4 different times. Alot of people had issues with that part of the game being tedious, but if you just want to blaze through it, you can use the same strategies to defeat each boss and that saves some time. I'd personally give it a 9/10.
Thanks a lot! That's appreciated. I am eager to go further into the game. What are you playing as of right now?
Right now, I'm doing a quick run of Super Mario Sunshine, along with unlocking stuff in Super Smash Bros Melee on consoles. For handhelds, I started out with Shin Megami Tensei IV just a few days ago.
F*ck Yeah Sunshine! :D
What about Shin Megami Tensei? What is it like?

Site Feedback / Re: how do you check your badges, and ones you can get
« on: August 05, 2014, 12:08:37 pm »
Serious question:

Are these badges really *that* important to anyone?!

 :o

I mean, it's not like anyone can/will ever see them unless they went out of their way to look for them...and WHY would anyone ever do/care about that?

They remind me of acheivements. They are not THAT important, but I think they are a fun addition to the website and I would like to be able to use them! :)

Don't get me wrong, I like collecting trophies too -but- they're at least somewhat merit-based instead of just badges showing how many games you've bought...

Yeah I get what you're saying as well. I was just wondering as I am new here..  ;)
