If you want no spoilers, everyone better not mention the Gamespot review!

Jumping Flash! (And that's my exclamation mark)

The game was so pleasant, fun spirited and original, btu if you wanted you could breeze through the whole thing in your first playthrough. I heard the sequel was the same. Great music too!

I just got Titanfall 2 in town for £20!

I've probably finished about... 5.

Ha. Well maybe more if I go back to the Spectrum and ST days, but it's harder to look up that stuff, and I can't remember much of it. Kids have it so easy these days!

I've never played online with PS3 before, so after they came out with PS+, can you still play these old PS3 games online for free?

Yes.  It's the PlayStation 4 that needs PS+ for online multi-player.

They still charge for a Network Pass on some Sony games if you buy them secondhand and the code has been used, but recently both EA and Ubisoft dropped their charge, so I picked up Battlefield and Driver for hardly anything, and with no charge for online!

There's something strangely addictive about it! And also quite helpful, once you have over 100 games and can't remember what you've got.

What's your PSN name?

I'll go with:

SSX Tricky - Highly frustrating on occasion, but extremely enjoyable trying to beat your friend's times or scores, either from their save file or during split screen.

Downhill Domination - Similar level of quality to SSX Tricky, loads of stuff to do and discover on the tracks, Can't believe I'd never heard of it until last year. Technically impressive as well.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 - Amazing roster, more characters than you could ever want in a fighting game. If you're a Marvel or a Capcom fan, this is essential.

Tekken 5 - So many characters, great stages, so many moves.

Twisted Metal Black - Sort of great in a totally opposite way to World Tour; moody, stylish and refined.

Under the Skin - Crazy and totally original 2 player experience

War of the Monsters - The best Godzilla / Rampage type game out there.

And some others worth checking out:

Virtua Fighter 4
Mashed
Metal Arms
Red Faction II

If you need a platformer, Fez is on the PS4.

Also I think The Evil Within, Watch Dogs and Drive Club would do you pretty well if you like big releases.

The real question is, why did you skip XII! It's great. Play that, or wait for XV / XVI.

Why do people say XII is good? I feel like its mediocre at best. Extremely underwhelming

I had the same feeling.  I didn't get too far in it.  I really felt like it could've been significantly better had they reworked the story so you were someone else instead of Vaan.  It was a real bad idea making him the lead.

For me it felt quite original observing the story from Vaan's perspective. All to often in games you're the main guy, the centre of everything and the great hero. I felt being just a side character played in to the likelyhood of you not being the centre of everything, as in real life. It gave the story and the happenings a greater sense of scale and also of believability. The political elements gave it a mature sense. The story might not be for some, but I think the systems are great. I've never avoided the end of a game for so long, which was due to enjoying running around hunting marks, discovering new secrets and people, and improving my characters.
