Didn't see this here before... Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! Funeria desu. I'm not fluent, but I know a bit. Anyway, I'm glad to be here! Coming off of a tough 2014 and trying to get things back in order, as well as make new connections. I've been a gamer most of my life and I've owned pretty much every major system at one point or another. Currently I have a Wii U and the Black & White NeoGeo Pocket. Very into music, making clothes, drawing/painting, etc. Anyone that would like to know more about me is free to check out my blog or Twitter, Hope to be a regular around here! :3

Working through a few right now. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (Wii U), Assassin's Creed 3 (Wii U), and Splinter Cell Blacklist (Wii U). Going between NG3 and Assassin's Creed does a number on my brain! XD I play one for a bit and then I'll go to the other and get the combat systems mixed up...

It's terrible what happened to Isshi... R.I.P.  There's tons of their stuff on YouTube. I'd recommend starting off with their "Shizuku" album from 2007. It really encapsulates the different styles they did. The first song (and the first single) "Utakata" is just to die for... It's probably the best mix of traditional Japanese and modern rock that I've heard. If you're into electronic stuff at all and want something real mello, go with Schwarz Stein. They're the reason I fell in love with electronica. Songs like "transient" "Queen of Decadence" "Current" "fester love" and "Emergence of Silence" always help chill me out. It's an expensive hobby buying originals, but even the least known bands have something to sample on YouTube. I post links to videos I find on my Twitter account @RachaelWickham if you're interested. ^^

Classic Video Games / Re: Your favourite console, and why?

Even though it tanked, mine has to be Sega Saturn. I'm a huge fan of fighting games (especially the 2D ones) and that system had a HUGE leg up in that department. Darkstalkers comes out on PS One, Night Warriors comes out for Saturn. MK3 for PS One, Ultimate MK3 for Saturn. The exclusives were great, but even the games that did come out for both were better in pretty much every respect for the Saturn.

Then there were all those great Working Designs games like Dragon Force and Iron Storm. I know that they folded, but does anyone know why nobody has released a collection of WD games? It seems like a no brainer to me... :/

Music from Japan is my specialty... I follow a lot of the small VK/Goth bands, have been for the better part of two decades. If it's rock/metal you're looking for...

Moi dix Mois (Me ten Months)

Kagrra

umbrella

lix

BLOOD

Dir en grey

LAREINE

MALICE MIZER

Laputa

I could go all day, hopefully you'll find something. More into industrial myself, but I listen to a pretty big variety. If anyone wants obscure music references from Japan or Europe, I'm your girl! ^^

Added the first Samurai Spirits/Shodown game for the NeoGeo Pocket. Using Wii U for internet, so  I couldn't save and upload a picture of the box art. Did find this on Google Image search if someone could do it for me.
