For various reasons I haven't been keeping up on my database, and for various reasons it's easier for me to just start from scratch than it is to go through item by item and figure out what I still have and what I've added.

Failing that, what's the most convenient/efficient way to mass delete stuff?

A buddy is selling some stuff off due to moving, including a PSP sales display that he has no clue what to ask for. It apparently used to play trailers for PSP games but judging from his phrasing no longer does.

Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking he should just ask for a flat hundy and hope someone bites, but I don't know that PSP merch is in particularly high demand. He's got a few months to sell, though.

That's not so different. I bet your grandma went to church!

I don't have any of those games... but I do have a coaster very similar to yours  ;D a little girl at my wife's church made it hahaha

I love ephemera but most places charge a premium for it. If I own a game I will buy a guide if I find it- but I don't want to spend more than a couple of dollars. I almost bought the guide for MtG Battlemage today, because I just bought the game today, but it was 8 dollars... I don't get magazines, though, not unless there's a very specific game on the cover or something. There are so many magazines out there that it's just a rabbit hole I don't want to go down.

I'm also gonna have to back out tonight. It was my first day alone with the baby and my wife's first day back to work- and it went amazingly smoothly but I'm still not gonna wanna be away from her tonight haha

Welp, my show just imploded (Willie's leaving, and it's half named after him lol) so I'll try to make more frequent appearances on Retro Reload until I figure out where I'm going next (which will likely not be a video game specific show). Here's hoping I can pop in next tuesday!

Classic Video Games / Re: where do you buy import games?

The few times I've ever done it I literally just got people I knew in foreign countries to buy and ship me the games, lol. Being friends with globe trotters has its advantages.

He's got popcorn movie cred via gore and action.

This movie is coming out in an era where, when it comes to action spectacles, the big things are practical effects and fun.

If they keep it simple, they're good to go.

General / Re: Why are there so many Nintendo apologists?

I feel like it's worth mentioning that Nintendo isn't doing poorly at all in the market that is the most important to them, their home market: Japan. And they're doing better in the US than Microsoft is doing in Japan. Like, in the states the WiiU is still moving tens of thousands of consoles. On average, in Japan, the XBox is selling... maybe a couple hundred?

This is random but I'm trying for a complete PS1 Agetec collection... why? Cuz it's mostly super cheap, they have a lot of quirky titles and I love the shitty aesthetic of their classics such as "Tennis" and "Card Games". And it's cheap. That's like almost 50 games though so it'll take me a while since I only buy games in person except for special occasions.

My friend (and co-host) Willie bought it twice since you can play cross platform but you can't form a team with friends cross platform. Still, buying it twice is only two thirds of the cost of a regular game xD
