This reminded me that I've been wanting to find the LE version of Ys Seven.  I've been putting it off, hoping it'd get cheaper, but it's just going up in price online.  I put a hold on one at a GS... let's hope the condition is decent enough for retail price.

I was just going to say the Xseed games. My Gamestop on the LEs new ... I have to buy those.

I don't know about you guys, but I have a feeling that some PSP games will explode in value over next 3-5 years. They are so dirt cheap right now, you may want to pick up some of the obvious ones that may be worth money. Plus, a lot of those games are actually really good.

Got tactic ogre: Let us cling together for $8.99 complete at Gamestop. Jeanne D'Arc is like $8 as well.

Just got a feeling that some of these games may be worth a good penny in future. Post any titles that are worth money right now here if you know of any =)

5. Phantasy Star IV (Genesis)
4. Suikoden II (PS1)
3. Tactics Ogre (PSP)
2. Shining Force II (Genesis)
1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)

I think we're into the same games.

Just finished this tonight. It's the map for Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart, which is almost the exact same map as Dragon Warrior II. I painted this with watercolor over the last 2.5 nights, took me a little bit to get used to watercolors again, but I think it turned out pretty alright. It's part of the giant art project that has snowballed from making that DS cover. More to come later, this is actually turning into a really fun project.

That is awesome!

Sega Saturn.

Yea, it is cool and there are some awesome games on it. But come on, if you want a game that's half decent you have to pay some serious $$$$$.

The prices for saturn games are absurd, IMO.
Don't ever look at getting a neo geo

I personally never played a Neo Geo before, but I'm part of another forum, its a local one near Chicago, and everyone on there is a huge AES fan.

I'd have to try it before I buy it. Saturn games are like $150 for a piece of crap game. I know AES games are expensive, but they may be worth it, IMO.  :)

There was this game for Nintendo, where the main character was a ninja of some sort. Anyway, the main attack was him whipping his hair at the enemy. His hair was long.

To this day I can't find that game ...

Classic Video Games / Re: PS1 game's relative rarity
« on: June 27, 2012, 06:28:34 pm »
I'm so glad you started a thread about this topic.  For the past 4 1/2 months now I've been finding PS1 & DC games on the reg..  seriously every week.  I've learned a couple secret techniques and been using them ever since, went in with only 24 games in my collection and now I have a total of 176 PS1 games and each week it gets a little bigger.  I even have a buddy on here to vouch (referred me to this website).  I've been posting pictures on my FB of all the bundles and treasures I come across and have been wanting to start a thread on this website to track my progress..  but I've been too lazy..  They're all out there, you just have to know what places might have them, how to haggle, bluff and seal the deal.  I always thought it was all about location b/c I'm in the OC where everything is flippin overpriced, or priced accordingly if you call Ebay a legitimate price guide...  but yeh I've been wanting to post my finds on this forum... just haven't come up with a good thread title yet haha

Can you share some of your tips? I doubt any of us will step on your turf as we're from all over ;)

I collect games on a lot of platforms, but the bulk of my collection is SNES and PS1.

Here are a few with value only going up -

-Tactics Ogre
-Suikoden 1 and especially 2
-Final Fantasy Tactics (not expensive now, but I see this going up)
-Castlevania SOTN
-Resident Evil 1 Longbox

That's all I can think of. Keep in mind, PS1 is still considered "new" as classic collecting goes. I personally don't get anything that is GH either. Black label only.
