Marketplace / Looking for a Dreamcast bundle/collection
« on: October 31, 2016, 03:35:05 pm »
My Original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Gamecube collections are almost complete (complete in a sens that I own all the games I want) and next step is the Sega Dreamcast.  :)

I LOVED this console when it came out, OMG I can't count the numbers of hours I pass on this system back in the days...

I would really like to start with a bundle including some games instead of buying everything separately.

When I build a collection, the games I want are the most-have console's exclusives or even if they are not exclusivities, the games that are widely associate with the console. For exemples : Resident Evil 4 is a Gamecube Game, Ready 2 Rumble is a Dreamcast game, IMO anyway.  :P

So what i'm looking for is a working Dreamcast console in very good cosmetic condition, a Gamepad, a VMU and some or all the following games :

Crazy Taxi 1 and 2
Dino Crysis
Hydro Thunder
Jet Grind Radio
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing 1 and 2
Sega Rally Championship
Shenmue
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2
Soul Calibur
Tokyo Xtrem Racer 1 and 2
Daytona USA

Well it will be a very good start if I can find such a bundle.

Note that I don't care about other Dreamcast crapy games like Chicken Run, Hoyle Casino or NHL 2K1 and I will not give a penny for those ones!  ;)

Unfortunately I can't afford Powerstone 1 and 2 for now so I didn't list them here.

Of course all game have to be complete in box, with manual and in good shape.

Thanks!

Video Game Database Discussion / Different list for digital games.
« on: April 29, 2016, 10:29:45 pm »
I'm I the only one who dont want his digital games to blend with actual games in my collection listing?

That exactly why I didnt add them in my collection on the site, If i had, i would have at least a hundred more game listed here.

I think that could be a good idea to have two sub-list in each console. When you clic on, for example "Xbox 360" you have a sub-menu with two entries "Digital" and "Physical". You can also choose "Both" to have them listed all blend together like now.

What do you think?

To be fair, I hated the Xbox "Duke" controller but loved the "S" controller.  And in the era of wired controllers being standard, the Xbox controllers had the longest cords on the market and the cool "break away" feature so you didn't pull a two-ton console off the shelf.

And gamecube had the shortest cords on the market for sure! Probably in the purpose of selling wavebird controller.

Unreal Tournament, Dead Or Alive 4, Warhammer Online.

I prefer the Xbox because of the quantity of games available. If you don't count multi-platforms titles Gamecube probably have less than 20 decent games. (Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Assault, Twillight Princess, Wind Waker, Picmin 1 and 2, Metroid Prime 1 and 2, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bross, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero, Mario Golf and FF:CC). Those are really good games and many of them are better than any game on Xbox. Damn! Some of them are better than any game ever release till today. But other exclusives are not really good or only "ok" games (Luigi Mansion, 1080, Wave Race or Star Fox Adventures for exemple), not good enough to justify to buy a console.

Xbox was an awesome console with many many good games and a lot of exclusive titles : Arx Fatalis, Morrowind, JSRF, Amped 1 and 2, Rallisport Challenge 1 and 2, Fable, Forza, Halo 1 & 2, Jade Empire, Mech Assault 1 & 2, Ninja Gaiden, PGR 1 & 2 and many more). I don't know if you played Rallisport Challenge recently but theses 2 games are graphically OUTSTANDING even with today standards.

More importantly, for me anyway, Xbox has Xbox Live. At that time the one and only decent online gaming platform on a console. Let be honest, PS2 online service sucked. And Gamecube, aside of Phantasy Star, don't have any online titles.

I can't count how many hours I pass online on my Xbox playing Unreal Championship, Mech Assault and Return To Castle Wolfenstein chatting with my teammates. I still have many of the "friends" I made at that time in my Xbox One friendlist.

The original Xbox was the first console I bought by myself. Coming from the PC world, Xbox Live was a huge advantage in favor of the Xbox when came the time to choose a system. Next November, when the renewal will pass on my credit card, I will be a Xbox Live subscriber for 14 years, uninterrupted! So for sure Xbox has been a more significant console in my life than the Gamecube or any other Nintendo system to be honest (I was in the Genesis/Megadrive team)

So at your question my answer is : Xbox

;P

Hi everyone, it's my first post in this forum.

What am I currently playing?

Recently I purchased every Resident Evil on Gamecube and I just started playing them in order, I'm half through Resident Evil 0.
I'll probably switch on Xbox 360 to complete RE5 and RE6 after...maybe i'll be able to finish all of them before the release of RE7.

Meanwhile I'm playing Halo: The Masterchief Collection on Xbox One, I am at the end of Halo 3 and I really don't think I'll be able to finish it alone (i'm playing Heroic difficulty) i'll probably need some help. I'm trying to play through all of them before starting Halo 5.

Also, shame on me, i'm addicted to Hearthstone and Clash Royale.
