Isn't that the band Jason Newstead left Metallica for?

I know he was in Flotsam And Jetsam who in my opinion are alot better than Metallica haha.

I have to say, Ive been really digging Skylanders Giants on Wii U. Im only going to buy enough characters to have one of each element (unlike some of these whacky collectors hahahaha just kidding).
But its a cool idea. I like that you can just take your character to anyone elses house and play on their portal regardless of the console. Thats pretty awesome.
And I love Spyro games, so this is just kind of a cool action RPG version of with better characters.

Hardware and Tech / Wii U Gamepad Connectivity Issues
« on: February 07, 2013, 02:40:18 am »
Been having some isses.
My gamepad worked fine for the first almost 2 weeks, and now out of nowhere its randomly giving e connection errors. I looked through some other forums and found a few ideas but nothings worked yet. Anyone else had this issue that could offer some advice?
I don't think you can even buy replacement gamepads yet (ad if so, at what retarded cost?) haha

Modern Video Games / Re: Wii U, who's getting it?
« on: February 01, 2013, 01:16:40 am »
I got my Wii U a couple nights ago :D
I've been having a blast playing New Super Mario Bros. U and Scribblenauts Unlimited! I wanted to get ZombieU but I didn't have enough for it at the moment. These two games will last me quite awhile until some of the others start dropping in price.
Overall, I'm impressed and it's alot of fun.
The battery life of the gamepad is somewhat short, but whatever, it charges really fast anyways.

when will they just make a classic FF game like X and previous? I don't consider any of the FF games after X real parts of the numbered series. They should have had different names instead of the numbers like all the other spin-off FF games. FFXIII is absolutely atrocious, although XIII-2 seems like a huuuuuuuge improvement and trying to keep the feeling of the older games. I just really wish Squeenix would do something good again like they used to  :'(

Oh, I see. You're even worse than I thought. your store is in a rural area where nobody can buy games at a fair price from the internet but you, so you get to charge whatever ridiculous price you want and you get away with it because you have no competition.

That's not how a retail business works. That's how a monopoly works.

I would venture to guess that the store pays people less than 1/10th of that price when they bring it in (which I also have issue with no matter which store we're talking about). Now we're talking about a 1000% markup.

Actually, we give the best cash or store credit prices in town.

But I can see no matter what I say, you are just the type of person who wants to argue and try to make me seem like a bad guy for working at a kickass store and doing my job.  If you worked there, you'd love it, getting great deals on games all the time and getting to chat with other collectors and gamers.

However, I don't need to argue or try to justify myself or the store I work at.
I already see theres other people on here who know how it works. And I know there are lots of people who appreciate myself and the store being in existence.
Don't like it, shut up and quit ruining a thread about Japanese Cartridges with an unrelated topic. Go bitch somewhere else about retail stores.

EDIT:: Heres a thread where theres already a coversation about (which I already posted in a long time ago, and where i have awful ideas of what percentages are hahahaha, im terrible at math.)
Priced To Sit vs. Priced To Sell
Also note: After calling me unethical (which is really disrespectful to say over something like this) for doing my job, I won't further chat with you guys about it anyways. But go ahead and talk somewhere else about it if you want.

I don't care how you try to defend it, your store is part of the reason game prices are so ridiculously inflated now.

We're also the reason alot of gamers have games without the luxury of the internet. How do you expect my boss to pay us? Peanuts? We certainly don't work for free no matter how much we love games hahaha. You're just being ignorant and foolish.
All I'm doing is telling you how a retail business works.

Good god. Does your game store sell everything at a 300% markup?

Nope, not everything. Alot of games for the older systems just sell for a few bucks (alot of average NES games range from $2 to $6). Just the popular games that we have to order in ourselves get the mark-up prices.
And generally our markup on ordered items is exactly 200%, which is quite minor compared to almost all retail chains who say, buy mass-produced t-shirts for $2 or $4 and sell them to you for $25 or $30. These are old games that are hard to find in most towns, especially without the help of online ordering.
And I've got to say, people definately prefer the cleanliness of our store, the customer service, quality items, and especially the prices, compared the drug dealing dickhead up the street who has a cat in his store pissing everywhere, and charging $200 for the Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past SNES cart hahahaha.

AC/DC with Bon Scott is definitely more to my liking than Brian Johnson AC/DC. Of course, I still like a lot of the stuff from the post-Scott era.

Yeah - I don't *dislike* BJ('s)  ;)

...I just prefer Bon Scott - same w/ Maiden...Dickinson's got a hell of a voice & an impressive range (comparable w/ Sebastian Bach-one of my favorite 'raw' voices); I just liked Diano/earlier albums better...maybe because it's what I was exposed to 1st?

On that note -while I wouldn't call Van Hagar "horrible"...IMHO; they just lost that VH chemistry w/o DLR.

I'm like the opposite on all of those, lol. I like Brian Johnson better in AC/DC, I like Dickinson better in Maiden, and I prefer Van Hagar over Crackhead-Roth.

I'm opposite anyone whos posted yet haha. I just don't like either vocalist of ACDC, or the guitarist in the little schoolboy outfit (I can never remember his name), nor do I like Van Halen in any form (other than that one song Hot For Teacher).
And I guess if I had to pick a favorite for Maiden, it would be Dickinson. Just because I also like his solo albums. But I almost never listen to either lol  :P

I always like asking which vocalist people liked more in Cannibal Corpse, Chris Barnes or George Corpsegrinder Fisher.
I love both of them, theres not a CC song I dont love. But overall, I like Barnes more as a vocalist. They are both brutal, but Chris Barnes gutturals were way deeper, AND he wrote his own lyrics. Fisher has never written a single song for CC. I'm not sure if he wrote lyrics while he was in Monstrosity or not.

the store i work at has the japanese cartridges for Bomberman 64, Super Mario 64, and Sin & Punishment.

How much do they want for Sin & Punishment out of curiosity?

it's $89.00 and we still have 2 copies left, sold the other half dozen already.
