Off Topic / Re: Things you miss, but can't get back
« on: July 17, 2014, 08:49:12 pm »
I miss birthday parties, which still happen, I'm sure, but not for people my age.

I miss being able to just go to a friend's house and not having it be weird. Now we just would rather stay home.

I miss when people had conversations with only one person at a time, and not on their phones at the same time. Phones are cool, but they have taken over our lives.

I miss when everyone used to listen to the radio. Now everyone uses Spotify or Pandora, which isn't real radio.

Pokémon Crystal Version for sure. I've never played the Zelda games.

What I like about that picture is that on the console, it says "test", but the "e" looks like the Kanji for "three", which in 1337 is still an "e", so it still says test. That's all I got to say about that.

I still get my GI in the mail every month, for about three years.

Yeah. Every month or so, my friends and I will play some Gamecube games, like Melee, Mario Party 7, or Double Dash. While there are modern games that are much better in detail, there is still plenty of fun in playing old-school games. If people make fun of you for playing old games, it just means they never got to enjoy them like we did.

I think there are some duplicate items on this website. I don't know if it's a big deal. I found separate listings for Soulcalibur II, for PS2. One called "Soulcalibur II - PlayStation 2 [NA]" and another called "Soul Calibur II - PlayStation 2 [NA]" Notice the space between 'Soul' and 'Calibur'? There isn't supposed to be a space. Again, I guess it's not a big deal, but I just wanted to say I noticed that.

Hardware and Tech / Re: Pokémon Crystal Battery Replacement

I've tried bending the arms to get it to stay, but the game still won't hold a save. I've also tried using electrical tape, and that didn't work either.

Hardware and Tech / Pokémon Crystal Battery Replacement
« on: November 29, 2012, 06:54:29 pm »
Hello. I have taken out the old battery from 1999 in my copy of Pokémon Crystal Version. I am not quite sure how to get the new one back in. I tried using tape, and it didn't hold a good connection or save file. I was thinking about using a soldering gun to help the arms stick to the battery. So what am asking is, is a soldering gun a good choice, or should I just give up on Gen II Pokémon?

Modern Video Games / Re: "Wii Mini":
« on: November 29, 2012, 04:57:32 pm »
Well, it's starting at $100 CAD? Ok, so that's about $82 USD.

Actually I feel the need to correct that :P
Currently both American and Canadian dollars are worth roughly the same, so that's $100.79 USD at the moment.

Oh, I believe you are correct. My cell phone decided to tell me otherwise. Thank you. But, I believe my argument still stands. Why pay $100 for a Wii with no internet, when you can pay like $60 for a Wii with internet?

I had not heard of this until now. It seems like a dumb idea. You might as well pay an extra....Well, it's starting at $100 CAD? Ok, so that's about $82 USD. You can buy the main Wii for about that much, or even less, on stores such as Ebay or Craigslist. I've even seen prices as low as $50 USD, which is $61 CAD. So why pay the extra money? Unless I'm missing something.

Much like any video game made based on a film, Cars for Game Boy Advance was a complete POS and waste of time. I used to enjoy any video game I played, but after that one, I started to have better opinions.

It doesn't follow the plot of the movie (which I thought was an OK movie) at all. Keep in mind that this is only the GBA version. Apparently, the game got positive reviews on other consoles
