There was a topic on MAL looking for a MAL for video games and someone suggested this site.

Yea, I've played Endless Frontier and it's really fun.  And the cast is great.  It doesn't take itself too seriously, but it's a little on the easy side.  But the music is awesome.  I went back and got the first one for GBA, but I haven't played it yet.

It was the 1st one that I personally played...and as soon as I finished...I was out tracking-down the rest of them  ;D

That was the same with me, after I beat Covenant I had to double back and play the first.  From the New World wasn't out at the time.

Anywho, my recommendation is Phantom Brave.  It's a fun little tactical game.  But unlike normal tactical games, you don't move in squares or whatever, you have sphere of free movement.  Also the summoning units is different.  You bind there souls to things you find on the battle field.  And speaking of things you find on the battle field, if you can pick it up, you can use it as a weapon.

The story centers around a young girl named Marona.  She can see phantoms and this makes everyone else hate and distrust her.  This leads to a couple of tearjerky scenes and you will hate some of the people you save.  But it's worth it when she makes her first real friend, Castile.

Yea, the Color was my first handheld.  And did they include the GameBoy Pocket, cause that's basically what the Micro was, just for the Advance.  It wouldn't make sense for them to include the Pocket and leave out the Micro.

Persona 4 Arena and Assassin's Creed III, and some other smaller stuff, but those are the two big things.

Unlimited Saga... I'm tempted to rent it/buy it to see if it's just as unplayable as it was when I played it 10 years ago.  I literally couldn't get past the first battle.

Love this bit from its Wikipedia article:
Quote
Unlimited Saga was not well-received outside of Japan, receiving mostly low to average scores from critics. Electronic Gaming Monthly simply declared: "This game sucks. Unlimited Saga exemplifies everything that's wrong with RPGs today and throws it all together in one deluxe package for all to avoid like the plague."
I bought that from disgaeniac a while back, but never put it in the PS3 to play it. I heard a ton of bad things about it though and eventually I'll sift through it just so I can say I did. Mainly got it, cause it's a SaGa game.

Actually, I think that I sold you a copy of Romancing SaGa...and pointed you towards a cheap copy of Unlimited SaGa that I'd seen on Amazon...

...Then again - who actually *remembers* stuff like that?
 ;)

I made that mistake.  I heard awesome things about Romancing SaGa, but bought Unlimited instead.  At least the music is good.

I'm like disgaea, minus the last part of the second part.  I'll only pre-order a limited edition for myself when I do xD.  But yeah, I only buy games I intend on playing except at yardsells.  It's sad to think about these poor games setting in some old ladies basement collecting dust forever.  I haven't gone yardselling in a long time.

Drowning in games suck, I blame Sonic 2 for that.  That drowning music is the thing of nightmares.

Other than that, the dark and getting lost.  Getting lost in general is one for me, I need maps.  But add in the dark and I become paranoid.

Back before I had a job and had to rely on allowance, there was Mega Man Legends 2 at a store for $30.  So I saved up my money and came back and it was gone.

I'm right at the Virginia/West Virginia border and yesterday we got a butt-ton of snow.  The roads were covered on my way back from work last night.  It seems to have passed now and it's just flurrying a little outside.

Awesome, depending on how much I have left over and if you still have it, I'll be looking into it on Friday.

Quick question, will the Rockman and Forte play in a NTSC "Phat" DS?

It's been mentioned a couple of times and I agree.  I think one of the things "killing" the difficulty is checkpoints.  A lot of games nowadays auto-save everytime you do anything, like open a door.  Alot of old RPGs you could only save in the Inn or a tent and when you go into a dungeon, you're in there until you beat the boss and walk out.  That's another thing, a lot of things are done in cutscenes.

I think one of the hardest games I've played is Yggdra Union.  This game punishes bad decisions.  You can only heal between fights and there's no stores, so you have to use items you found, usually right in the previous map.  And the damage sticks, if you level, you're still damaged.

I'm horrible at finishing games.  I get bored and start thinking about another game I haven't beaten and how much I want to play it and then I go play it and it all repeats.
