My fiancee is in love with Pokemon snap :P I could never get into the "side games" myself, other than the original Pokemon pinball.

My dad video taped me at 3 years old playing Pac-Man for the 2600.

When I first saw X and Y I thought of male and female, I bet they could make even more money if all the pokemon in one game were male and in the other were female so you had to buy both to breed.

I have to admit, it would sell more copies, but that'd be a jackass move from Game Freak.

I also forgot! I love chaotic hardcore music. Such as Converge, Tharsis They, Wolfs, The Chariot, Bayonet... just thought I'd include that as well.

Haunted House wasn't terrible. You REAALLLLYYYYY need a ghetto sense of humor to get most of it, but if you have an open mind (like me), enjoy fart jokes, or a ghetto sense of humor, you'll at least be entertained for the length of the movie.

I know I was scraping the bottom of the barrel to say something good here, but there you go. haha it kept me entertainment minimally throughout. My fiancee loved it, however.

I'm a grass starter lover. Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, and Snivy were always my starter Pokemen's. Now I'm debating throughout which one to pick. They got me there, haha.

I'm already predicting that a third one will eventually come out called Pokemon Z.

Anybody else here into newer Pokemon? If so, what are you opinions on the new Pokemon games from watching the trailer? I'm personally excited, I get excited at the beginning of every generation. Fan-boy issues  :P

Not too fond of the starters they showed, however I'll probably grow to like them. If you watch the trailer, I'm pretty sure I saw the Eiffel Tower in it. Maybe the game's setting is a place similar to England?

Anyway, here's a link to the trailer and let me know what you guys think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNr6wQfNfK4

Nobody responded yet? Alright, I'll shoot. My music list is diverse in the sense that I love all the classics from the 60's such as Simon & Garfunkel, The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix. I love 70's and 80's rock. 90's was the best decade of music, but it's probably because I grew up with it. 2000's I started to get more into metal, such as Slayer, Sonata Arctica, Underoath, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Protest The Hero, etc.

I don't know why I posted a short history of it, but that's my reply lol

In a few hours, I'm going to see A Haunted House with my fiance. Hope it's as good as the trailer looked, because it IS made by the same people who created the Scary Movie series.

Anybody interested in it, I'll post afterwards what my thoughts on it are haha.

I used to never save. I saved after I was done playing with the game, but then I found out the hard way that it was a bad idea. Oh, how many wasted hours of video gaming I have lost! Now, I save very often.

Last game I beat was Dark Souls, and I'm trying to add a few games to the beaten list but my free time is slim...  :-\

Hardware and Tech / Game Gear LCD screen
« on: November 11, 2012, 11:33:49 pm »
I bought a Game Gear today, and when I tried it out, the screen was blank. I tried multiple games, and nothing. I noticed the contrast slider on the side, and it helped a little, but unless I tilt the console at an extremely awkward angle, it's unplayable. I read online that you can take apart the system, detach the capacitors in the Game Gear, and solder on new ones. I was wondering if I should try this, and was hoping someone could let some insight on this.

Today I picked up a working Sega Game Gear with a case and 8 games for $20. Don't know if it's a good find or not, but I'm pleased lol

General / Re: How did you choose between PS2 and Xbox (or PS3 and 360)?
« on: November 11, 2012, 05:09:18 pm »
Well, I actually stuck with Sega genesis all through the PS1 era (First video game console, and for some reason couldn't move on) When the playstation 2 was out, my step dad bought a PS1 so I played that frequently but went right back to my genesis. Two years later, right after they dropped out of the market, I bought a Sega Dreamcast, not realizing that they were no longer supported, later selling for a Gamecube. Two years later, sold that for a PS2 (PS3 were already out) and next year a Wii...

Moral of my story. I'm a generation behind  ::)

If I ever have the money, I'm buying a vectrex. My friend had one when I was younger, but dismissed it over other consoles. Looking back, I wish I spent more time with that beast  :( Never judge a book by its cover is what I learned that day...
