General / Re: Video Game Box Protectors - Are These Any Good?

There is no reason not to go with these guys. I have purchased hundreds of protectors from them and they are fantastic.

A+. Highly Recommend. Great Seller. Will do business again. Etc.

Hey VG Collect Community,

I'm looking to complete a spendy sub collection and need your help. I'm a huge fan of the company Working Designs and I'm currently trying to get all their titles on the Sega CD and Sega Saturn. Right now I currently have:

- Vay (Sega CD)
- Lunar: The Silver Star (Sega CD)

On the Sega CD I am looking for:

- Lunar Eternal Blue
- Popful Mail

On the Sega Saturn I am looking for:

- Albert Odyssey
- Dragon Force
- Shining Wisdom
- Magic Knight Rayearth
- Iron Storm
- Sega Ages (Not particularly interested in that one.)

I am willing pay fair prices as well as trade other games for them. I have quite a few items that range from common to rare, cheap to valuable and fun to downright awful.

Let me know if you're willing to part with anything and we'll go from there!

I hit you back!

Hey VGCollectors,

I have a bunch of items that I want to trade. If any of the users here are also frequenters of Reddit you may recognize my username and list of games for trade. If that's the case, feel free to skip over this post because not much has changed from the last time you probably looked at it. If not, disregard this preface and read on.

I have quite a few items that are up for trade that vary among many different systems and eras. Everything that you see on my list can be reasonably traded. When I make trades I tend to do it value for value in order to make it fair for both parties. For these values I generally take a look at www.vgpc.com in order to do a fair assessment of value.

In the link (right underneath this) you will find my google spreadsheet that contains all of the items I currently have in my tradable inventory. On the bottom of the document you will see a tab that is marked "Want List." This will include all of the items that I am specifically looking for. If the items you have up for trade don't show up on that list don't hesitate to make me an offer. Who knows, you may have something I will be interested in. Most of the games that show up in my collection will not be up for trade unless you have something that shows up on my want list. At that point some serious negotiations shall begin. I am really looking to beef up my Sega CD and Sega Saturn collection (Hint, hint).

Enjoy perusing through my wares!

Hey Scott,

No doubt on that one. The person I am trying to help out with this has been looking for months upon months at this point. I'm beginning to think this is a fools errand, haha. Good luck in your personal quest to snag it as well.

Marketplace / Looking to find the box for Kid Dracula on the Gameboy

Hey VGCollectors,

I'm looking for just the box for Kid Dracula on the gameboy. It's definitely a rare title and I know it's a long shot, but if you have one you're willing to part with I have many many items I'd be willing to trade in order to get my hands on it. I'm looking for this item for an individual who has pieced together and amassed a complete version of every Castlevania game to date, but the only thing he can't locate is the box for Kid Dracula. You'd definitely make a collectors year if this is something you could part with.

Shoot me a message on here if we can work something out! Thanks!

@scott

Curse you for even making me consider that. I look forward to this being implemented down the road. I can't say I personally know JJ over at VGPC but I have had a direct line to him on numerous occasions due to /r/gamecollecting. I've also had email correspondence with him over a few rare games and we have minor working relationship going. I might able to help facilitate this a little farther if it comes down to that. Just let me know if you need a hand.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for getting back to me! I appreciate you filling me in on that info. Honestly, I'm not too concerned with the "actual" value of my collection. I think it'd just be fun to have an approximation. It'd be great for a little ego stroking from time to time. I look forward to seeing it in action!

I think it would be pretty interesting to see an approximate value of my game collection based off Amazon's bottom dollar used price. This, of course, wouldn't factor in the value of complete in box items, special editions, etc.

If we were going to get really crazy, it'd be amazing to see VGCollect implemented with Video Game Price Charts to see an overall approximation of the used fair market value price.

Would a photo like this work or do you prefer pictures that are of whole collections or sub collections?
