Off Topic / So I'll be moving to a different state by end of year....
« on: February 22, 2023, 09:25:29 am »
Any tips on moving my entire collection? I have two wire racks with all my consoles hooked up and ready to play. Cable management is mint so I was thinking of just removing the consoles, switchers and rack mount power supplies and keep the cables on and just carefully strap it in the moving truck.

I used those black/yellow totes from Costco to move one city over and was thinking of buble wrapping everything and move it that way again.

My wife wants to hire a moving company and I rather not. Between the gaming collection, my FIL massive roll away toll box and my other hobby worth a lot too, I rather rent a u haul and do it myself.

Also if you have a snake, how did you transport it lol. It's an 8 hour drive.

Thanks

Hardware and Tech / 3 Way Coax Switcher?
« on: March 25, 2021, 04:26:13 pm »
With my gaming set up, I like to use switchers and so on so I can play anything right away without having to switch cables out
I currently use this
https://www.amazon.com/STEREN-2-Way-Coaxial-Switch-200-315/dp/B0018MJMJY/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=2+way+coax+switcher&qid=1616703832&sr=8-3

For my atari 7800 and Atari C-380, but I just bought an atari 2600, so now I need one that uses a 3 way switcher, but all i have found are piss poor... Any suggestions?

My bday is Dec 26, since it is right after Christmas, I have never cared haha. So likely nothing.

I worked shit job for years. Retail is a soul sucking job and was killing me. I decided to enter the veterinary field and have no regrets.

So I took the plunge and finally bought the 2600. I have a 7800 and I’m like, that’s good enough since I can play 2600 games.
Some context, 2600 was the first console I played(I was born in 88). We played on my moms system. So I’ve always loved the console for being my first gaming console. Well I’ve been thinking, even thought I can play the 2600 games, I need to have the actual console to my collection feels more complete. So I did lol

I really need to come around more, but life is busy as you know.
Almost done with school, I am at an Emergency Pet Clinic and still wedding planning.... In fact, a certain VGCollector is invited. ;)
Yes you do need to come around more, we (I) miss you.

Miss you too <3

Hey E3 is almost here!
Does anybody have big wishes, supreme dreams, or things they are looking forward to?
I would be curious to hear!

Wait, I thought E3 was cancelled? Are they doing like a digital show for everyone?
I know PS5 reveal is on thursday, so I blocked out my schedule to watch it lol.

Now for my wish list at E3/new games.... I am just excited Tony Hawk is getting done, as N64 and Tony Hawk 1 is one of my all time favs.

I shave my head and most of my face daily, so I buy nice razors because it makes for a better shave. So I ordered a new set of 4 replacement blades because I needed some new ones. Well about a month ago someone stole it off my porch... Amazon re sent the order but I had to wait an extra week shaving with older blades....

Asks us to say something positive about our lives, then proceeds to mention he's "touring wedding venues". You're one hell of a masochist.

Before anybody flips their lid, it's an obvious joke.

Haha, it was fun for me, even as a dude. Only bad thing is I gotta drive up to LA later today, it is an hour drive with "light" LA traffic.

I’m seriously considering it. Outside of posting pics of my garden. Nothing but negativity.

So now that I own 2 ataris and want to get a 3rd one later, I bought a switcher and a couple other things I need so I can run them off one tv. (I have a thing for switchers apparently). So I will be hooking it up this week haha.
Tomorrow is my anniversary with my fiancée. She bought me two switch games and the wheels for the joy con for Mario kart. She also bought two games for herself and pre ordered another. Please note, she has bought more games for my Nintendo Switch Than I have.  ;D. So we played Mario kart, Mario party and MK11 all weekend. Though I hate fighting games so it was more her kicking my ass the entire time lol.
School starts up tomorrow so RIP gaming life for a while.

The gf started playing Farming Simulator 19 at around 8:30 this morning, after I downloaded it as one of this month’s PS+ titles.  It’s now after 10pm and I’m getting ready for bed.  She’s barely even taken a break to eat.

I’ve been meaning to download it. Thank you for the reminder haha
