My parents were reluctant to pay for any type of internet service.

They were concerned about us kiddos seeing adult material and weren't particularly internet savvy, back during the days of WebTV.

I remember when we first got WebTV, there was an adult filter they figured out how to put on, and the settings blocked me from just wanting to view Nintendo's official website and Pokemon. I just wanted to figure out how to get Pikablu and Yoshi in my copy of Pokemon Red man.

I'd imagine for them back then, internet was only good for news or sexy times.

I guess they're not wrong, lol.

Site Feedback / Re: Cart pics instead of Box pics?

I would like the ability for this to be toggled on or off. For a moment I thought the database had removed the pictures.

It's working through Winamp after following those instructions, but there's nothing coming out of the Web Audio Player.

I can hear it now. Woo. That's pretty neat.

How have you been? Hope you're feeling better.

The Angel Classic Rock Mix Stream?

No, I can't hear anything. Pressing the play button also seems to do nothing.

You can do it bruh.

You can make your own music? That's pretty cool. Always been interested but never really knew where to start.

this is exactly why  even though I am asked multiple times to post here I never do this community is toxic instead of welcomming a new member be nice and give him a chance he gets this much shit to endure for no reason.

if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all in this case.

It's less of a case of the community being toxic and more of expecting people to have basic comprehension and reading skills. It isn't this person getting "shit to endure for no reason". Please drop the dramatics and consider reading up on them yourself. There's literally a section in the forums called "Marketplace" along with a pinned topic listing basic rules that must be followed here.

"Listing rules:

1. Each user should only have one active selling thread. If it becomes messy and you want to create a new one, please message mods so that we can lock your old thread.

2. Pictures of the items must be posted, along with a tiny note with your username on it. This is to prove that you actually have the item that you're selling. Cropped or stock images are not allowed.  If you're selling a large number of items, pictures upfront aren't required, but must be available upon request, however a detailed list of items must be provided including important information such as condition.

3. If you're only signing up to sell stuff then you're not welcome here."

It's almost as if the poster in question followed the rules and especially the two listed in bold this wouldn't have happened! Who'd have thought?

Not at all. There are some entries that are being altered/removed despite having been in the database correctly for quite some time.

Recently, I noticed a Lost Odyssey entry for the Xbox 360 was categorized as "NA" yet the title for the entry was changed to read "Lost Odyssey [CA]". The entry details still reads as if it is from the NA region.

I had to remove the entry I've had in my collection for about a year to whatever the newer one was, as I don't own Xbox games from that region. It's a little odd, though I remember there being a post awhile back stating the database had to be rolled back and some newly added entries may have gone missing.

There's also an entry for a gray game cube memory card in my collection that had its picture removed. Some Limited Run Games entries have also been removed due to water marks, though others games are still in the database with the same watermarks.

These are only some examples. You can always take a look at the style guide and the "Error Listings and rejected edits 2020" thread and point those out though.

Edit: As I posted this, I noticed the artwork for the blue and red memory cards I have in my PlayStation 2 accessory collection has also disappeared, haha!

Can confirm, I own a copy.

The wireless adapter that comes included with Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen does indeed come with a loose fitting small plastic bag.

Is this allowed here? I feel like all the investing and share talk had people ragging on you about it before.

This might not be the greatest idea to post something like this here. I could be wrong.

I'm not intending to come across as rude or anything, but it's really difficult to understand anything you've written here.

The last post you made was also equally as difficult to read, and came across as non-nonsensical. You need spaces and proper formatting to make it easier for others to view. Perhaps it might be easier to write a single sentence at a time, carefully look it over and then type another.

Also, look closely at how other people here are typing. If it helps, check out some review sites and look at how they are posting.

Your exaggerating a bit in my humble opinion.

That's cool. Everyone's got an opinion and they're entitled to it.

Moving on, it requires extra effort to decipher and read what was posted here, including a topic posted in a previous thread. Yes, it is difficult to understand what he is talking about.

If I personally took "your exaggerating" as you believed I have ownership of a representation of something large instead of a contraction, would you tell me that I didn't?

If I don't necessarily care for the taste of green eggs and ham, are you going to tell me that no, I do instead?

Silly me! Can you also tell me that I DO know the material for the N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and I should pass with flying colors?

relax

I personally have a pretty rough time seeking parts of his review that are actually hard to understand. I really can't find anything if i'm honest.

His grammar ain't perfect and it's a bit messy.  Sure on an actual review site or an exam it's not going work obviously, But at the very end of the day his points are pretty clear even if it's not written perfectly.

But again that's just my opinion doesn't apply to everyone.

I'm good dude. But sure, let's relax. Take a seat and tell me again what I understand and don't.

So FF7.  Thats the topic here.  Growing up as a young adult when it came out I was like woah from Bill & Ted, blown away by what was presented to me.   However, I never really played that much.  Like many others out there I had "stepped" out of the video game world for a while (although would be sucked back in later by the likes of FF8 and CSOTN) but I watched my roommate and girlfriends brother play through it within weeks of each other.  Its a great game.  Riddled with bugs, flaws, twists, turns, and most importantly something pressingly urgent to attend too.  Here's the deal.  FF7 is a should play. Not the greatest ever, BUT the one that made the greatest splash.  Its the game that shattered the US RPG barrier.

So many games before made with the purpose of schooling westerners on RPGs (not in the PC world though) Dragon Warrior a la Nintendo Power, Mystic Quest, and all those before FF7 failed to reach the broad audience of today.

Moving on, I agree. It's the type of game that isn't the best ever, but it did obviously catch on. I think the timing and platform of release also had a lot to do with it. Final Fantasy was synonymous with Nintendo for a long time, but swapping to CDs on the shiny new Playstation and away from pixel graphics must have caught a lot of attention as well.

I like the look. Unfortunately it costs about $230 according to the leaks, which is a little pricey.
