I have about 1500 titles but don't own any Canadian versions of North America releases. I've noticed when scrolling through my collection every once in a while that some of my entries now have the format "<name of title> - [CA]" That's easy to change because it still falls under the category of "<console> - [NA]". Seems the person(s) doing that are good at providing screenshots of the Canadian boxes. What's worse is there's usually NOT an entry left as the standard [NA] release! You might think I just misread or am lazy and picked the only [NA] entry available; however, I'm pretty good at adding entries when they don't exist. I just did it today for two titles in response to the above and have done it in the past. I'm certainly fine with NA - CA releases being in the database, but annoyed I have to remove from them my collection and add/create the general [NA] entry.

Is there anyway to prevent the stealth changing of [NA] releases to [NA] CA releases?

Video Game Database Discussion / Starlink
« on: April 29, 2019, 08:43:17 pm »
Hello,

Can anyone explain why Starlink toys to life items are listed as Hardware -> Accessory while other toys to life items are listed as Interactive Figures ->
  • Amiibo Figures
  • LEGO Dimensions Figures
  • Skylanders Figures/Traps/Vehicles
  • etc
?

To me, Starlink should have its own Interactive Figures category. Thanks

Note the colon. These two items are inconsistent.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2

Please pick a format and use it. I requested a change one way but was rejected. I requested a change the other way but was also rejected.

General / Other Video Game DB and Collection Management Sites

vgcollect is the first site I've used for tracking my video games, and I love it. However, I'm interested in using a second site because I'm a dork. Does anyone else do that here? If so, what site(s)?

Video Game Database Discussion / Sega CD 32X titles
« on: February 06, 2017, 02:48:56 pm »
Excluding Brazil, there are five games that require both the Sega CD and the Sega 32X to work, and they are listed under the 32X category. They are Corpse Killer, Fahrenheit, Night Trap, Slam City with Scottie Pippen, and Supreme Warrior. All five have Sega CD only versions. (Fahrenheit has both bundled together.) Four of them use the naming convention "<Title> (Sega CD 32X)", but Supreme Warrior does not. For consistency, I submitted a name change request but was rejected. Leaving the title as "Supreme Warrior" instead of changing it to "Supreme Warrior (Sega CD 32X)" implies it to be a 32X only game, which is wrong.

Site Feedback / Bulk Collection Edit
« on: August 30, 2016, 01:01:38 pm »
Is there a way to bulk edit the Cart/Disk/Item, Case/Box, Manual, and Other checkboxes? The 'Add to Collection' button from browse defaults those to unchecked, but the 'Add to Collection' button from individual titles screen defaults those to checked. I'd like to set all in my collection to checked. Thanks

Site Feedback / Sorting on Collections tab
« on: August 12, 2016, 02:35:41 pm »
Is there a way to sort by something other than title name on the collections view? I'd like to sort by platform, which is different than filtering by platform. Thanks
