After much procrastination, I decided to list my stuff on Ebay since its less time consuming for me and it will allow me to share what I have for those interested with greater ease. If something interests you and it hasn't been sold yet then we can work something and not necessarily go through Ebay. General / Any suggestions to make the wires in your gaming setup less cluttery?

To be clear I mean the wires in the back of your setup like power cables, HDMI cables and what not. I've disconnected what I have at the moment in anticipation for my Xbox Series X to arrive and I figured let me do some clean up and make some adjustments to the setup. That said, I've never been great at cable management and was wondering if anyone could share what they use or if they use anything to make their cables more clean for lack of a better term

General / Need advice pertaining to games I no longer have room for in my house

I ask because as recent as a few months ago, I threw away my CRT setup which consisted of this storage of sorts at the bottom of where the CRT stood. It was one of those old school deals where one would put their DVDs, VCR units and whatnot but instead I put a few games in my collection and for the most part it was great however I couldn't see my games on display. I got rid of that not so much because of not being able to see them but rather, I wanted to get rid of the CRT which I did but then eventually I got rid of the unit in favor a media shelf which all in all looks better to me and gives me more breathing space. The problem with this is that it could not fit every game I had in that storage. What wound up happening is that the PS1 games I have went into this drawer in my room as well as 3DS and DS games. However, the drawer itself had my NES, SNES and Genesis collection and with no room for them, I put stored them away not inside the house but my garage however I don't know if this is a good idea unless I have some storage solution I am not aware of. Otheriwse, everything else I own is here with the exception of a box of games I am trying to sell.

What I am asking I guess is if there is a safer option to store those games since I dont have the room to display them atm lest I sell a bunch of games I have now to make space.

General / Any of y'all have special edition console variations or used to have one?

I dont make a whole lot of threads here but that topic with the dude asking if someone could help him get the Taco Bell Xbox One X inspired me as and make this question. Now Im not talking about different models of the same console but rather a console variation that is different from what you get in the base model. For me its one of those things that would be cool to get if you dont already have said console or handheld and maybe even have as a secondary console to use because otherwise they function the same no matter what you get.

I'll start by saying when I bought my first 3DS, it was the red Smash Bros 3DS XL which was nice and glossy but I would up trading it in to Gamestop(judge way) for the New 3DS XL since they had a deal where you get more towards it if you trade in a regular 3DS XL. I have that N3DSXL to this day.

I also have the OG Xbox Halo Edition sans the Halo controller. Someone on Craigslist was selling for a very reasonable price with some games and a couple of strategy guides so made the deal much more sweeter. I'm still on the lookout for the Halo controller just to have it all and since I dont want to tamper with this one like I did my first one with homebrew, I have kept that as is while having the other one with CoinOps because no chance am I ever going through that process again.

Lastly, I bought the Nintendo DS Lite Zelda Edition which like golden with the triforce on the front. It even came with an R4 which was nice. I was looking for the DS Lite which I found but when I saw this I had to get it and its now my default DS.

General / You guys know of proper methods for storing your game consoles?

Hey y'all. So this came to mind the other day as I was thinking of storing some consoles in the shed in the back of my house down the line and I was wondering if any of y'all have an idea of what would be good option in terms of storing gaming consoles. Not sure if cardboard boxes are good or maybe those clear plastic containers or maybe something else. I'm not sure so any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Dumb question yes but I was wondering if y'all have your digital games meshed in with your physical collection on this site? I ask because while I do have a few on my account, I never got around to adding them all and was thinking of just having them separate from here but the same time not. I figured I get some opinions since I have no clue.

General / Hello my name is DROAA and I am not new here

For as far back as maybe when this site was made, I was here under the name darkragnorok with the exact same Alucard avatar however I took it upon myself to closed said account. It had nothing to do with this site or the people in it but rather what I liked to call an inner conflict with my collection habits as well as my impulse buying habits which I guess you can say reached a breaking point. You see after so many years of buying games on the notion that this looks good and i will get to it, it just wasnt going to be and as a result I was going down this rabbit hole of buying so much and doing absolutely nothing that it was becoming overwhelming. With that, I was just like I didnt even want to see what I wanted and went away for a couple of months. Since then I have sold off a good amount of games that either I didnt need nor care anymore or games I never started or glanced on eye to. Maybe somewhere down the line they will get my time but as of now, they needed to go and stuck with games I know wanted to keep whether they be something I cherish or something I know I will get to. Since then I have felt let cluttered and my impulse buying habits have subsided and I have only been buying games knowing that I want to and not because it was cheap. Like nowadays I go to place where they sell games and quite frankly I dont have it me to get anything right there and there. Its weird but at the same time refreshing.

I went on a bit more than I expected and this turned to a mini rant so I apologize but yeah I decided to come back and made a new account which also means re adding my collection which now smaller which is nice except for the digital games, I cant keep track to those <_<
