My Activity Feed looks like this all the way down

Site Feedback / Watch Dogs Legion EU takes me to the US version
« on: August 03, 2022, 05:47:06 pm »
As the headline suggests, when I search for, and click on the PS4 EU edition of Watch Dogs Legion, it brings up the US version.
The few times I've managed to actually bring up the EU version, it almost always changes back to the US.

I don't know if it's because the description in the EU version is in French, and my computer automatically translates French into English.
As soon as it does that, it jumps to the US version of the game.

Classic Video Games / How to store your video games properly
« on: June 22, 2022, 05:45:44 am »
I know this has been discussed a lot, but I've read somewhere that you shouldn't store your, say, PS2 cases "too tight" on the shelves, leave a little "air" so to speak between boxes, as they might get too pressed and break. Any truth to that?

I have my PS2 games in a bookshelf, and I make sure they don't stand too compressed on each shelf. However, there would be room for a few more games if I pressed them in on each shelf...

Classic Video Games / PS2 PAL Bully game (Canis Canem Edit)
« on: June 22, 2022, 04:57:55 am »
Is it just my copy, or does every PAL release have a sort of very light blue spine, that stands out compared to the white spine of other games?

Hardware and Tech / Are controllers region locked?
« on: June 06, 2022, 05:22:47 pm »
Just wondering if PS1/PS2/Gamecube/N64 and so on controllers are region locked or not?

General / Owning the same title for multiple consoles
« on: April 02, 2022, 04:23:28 pm »
I was just wondering how many of us do exactly that?
Do you own the same title for multiple platforms? Like, if a game for the PS2 has a re-release for PS4, do you own both versions and so on.
Do you own the same title for PS2, Gamecube and X-box, or something similar?
Or is it just a waste of money?

General / Non-original accessories
« on: March 22, 2022, 02:22:19 pm »
Do you ever buy Non-Original accessories, such as third-party controllers, memorycards etc., or is that a "sin" to you as gamers?

General / Ever bought a game for a system you didn't own?
« on: March 18, 2022, 11:59:07 am »
Like the headline says...
Have you ever bought a game for a system you didn't own? Maybe you knew you were getting the system later, or maybe you just liked the game?
Or do you steer clear from systems you don't own?

I must admit, I own a few N64 and Gamecube games, but have yet to invest in the consoles. I also bought loads of PS2 games before I actually bought the console itself. So... what about you?

Classic Video Games / Backup games and consoles
« on: February 20, 2022, 07:20:10 am »
Do you have any backups of games or consoles, in case your primary one fails?
I mean, every console and game will fail sometime in the future, but is it really worth having more than one?

I don't, but that's mostly down to space. If I find them cheap, I probably would buy a game or console that I already own to keep as a backup.

Site Feedback / Toca Race Driver 2 (EU) PS2
« on: February 14, 2022, 11:02:28 am »
When I search for, and find, the EU version for the PS2 game Toca Race Driver 2, everything is fine.
But when I add it to my collection, the image disappears and is not shown. When I search for it again, the image is there and all, but as soon as it is added to my collection, the image goes away.

General / Box art / Game packaging
« on: February 13, 2022, 10:01:14 am »
Watching a youtube video on the subject, I couldn't help wondering what kinda opinions other people had.
I guess we all would like to have our games in the original packaging, but do you have games that are CD/cartridge only, or do they make you cringe?
Do you have game cases that you can't stand looking at, because of a tear or so on?

Have you ever bought a game, just for the cover art? Is it important to you?

That was a lot of questions, I know. But it kinda made me intrigued.

Fx, I'm European, and I can't imagine the PS1 case looking different xD
But they would be easier to fit on a shelf if they looked like the US ones...

Classic Video Games / Protective cases
« on: February 08, 2022, 04:22:06 pm »
I was just wondering how many of you retro collectors, keep your games in protective cases?
I've considered it as my collection grows bigger each month. I kinda wanna do it, just in case.
I mean, what's the real advantage to using box protectors?

General / Retro Consoles
« on: February 05, 2022, 09:03:01 am »
I was just wondering...
For all of you with retro consoles (and not for those who use emulators), do you play your consoles and games on a modern TV with an HDMI adapter, on an old school TV with the Scart cable, or maybe even on a gaming monitor?

Just curious to know, as I use the HDMI converter myself.

Video Game Database Discussion / Asian version
« on: January 25, 2022, 04:21:15 pm »
If I want to create an entry, which is an Asian version of the game, there is no way to do that, only the Japanese version. But they are two different versions.
Specifically, I'm talking about Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, Switch and PS4 versions, which on Play-Asia is sold as both a Japanese and an Asian version.

I noticed there's a TW version, but not sure if that's an Asian version (like if it stands for Taiwan, or what not)
