I love 70s, 80s and 90s horror. Stuff like Hellraiser and Candyman especially, so good.

Not getting back into buying games sooner. Not buying Demon's Crest/Chrono Trigger/Earthbound etc in 2010 when I started looking and assuming the prices would go down  :-X

Super Nintendo mostly. I'm not really in the "collecting" mindset anymore these days (I've actually come to dislike that side of the whole thing quite a bit), but SNES is the one that I still feel that way the most about, wanting to buy games that are only boxed and in good condition etc. Mostly just because it's my favourite console I guess.

I still have a lot of fun playing NES games. It was my first console, but back in the day I only had a handful of games. Since 2011-ish I've played loads of games for the first time and I've enjoyed plenty of them, so it can't be nostalgia for me liking those as I hadn't played them before.

I went through a small phase of buying vinyl records at the beginning of the year, but after getting to about just under 30 I realised it was getting quite expensive, and haven't bought any since. I like buying CDs just for having around and taking in the car since they're really cheap most of the time, just popping on Amazon to look up an album I really like that I haven't got yet and getting it for just £1 or £2 is fun.

The majority of my music is digital though, I have about 1300 albums on my computer which I have hooked up to my stereo and listen to them through that.

Most of the music I listen to is post-punk, punk, goth rock, new wave etc and other sub-genres that fall under those... but I have quite a bit of a mixture of other genres, too. Honestly music for me is a much bigger thing than games these days, I listen for hours every single day, and most days I try to find new bands or albums to listen to.

I haven't bought any physical music this month but I've downloaded quite a lot of albums, some of the ones I like most that I had never heard before being;

Alvvays - "Antisocialites" and their self-titled album (dream-pop, indie)
Wild Nothing -  "Gemini", "Indigo" and "Nocturne" (dream-pop, shoegaze, indie)
GZA/Genius - "Liquid Swords" (hip-hop)
Alice in Chains - "Facelift" (grunge, alternative)
Green Day - "Insomniac" (punk, pop-punk)

I could talk about music all day  ;D

Favourite: Post-punk, punk, goth rock, coldwave, new wave (basically anything with similar sounds to those), indie, alternative, 80s
Least fav: House/techno/all that stuff, progressive metal, any of that over the top metal, country

Here's a genre cloud thing of my most listened to music from my Last.fm account

I prefer the Super Famicom/PAL SNES in every way by far. I've always thought the North American console was horrible.

It's just my name with the year I was born, simple  :P

Yeah, the day or day after I got the Switch and Zelda I was playing it and suddenly thought, "I haven't seen what the cartridge tastes like yet!", so I tried it :P

I got/played Sonic before Super Mario World and am super nostalgic for it, but it's not really a contest for me when comparing them. Super Mario World wins!

Can't say I agree with the Mega Drive/Genesis having more good games than the SNES either, tbh.

Three SNES games to start the month

I got a complete copy of Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss a couple of weeks ago for just over £100. Usually in similar condition it goes for about £300-400.
