Off Topic / Re: If you collect movies - which ones are your most watched?

Back door sluts 9

Wait. Wrong forum.

Star Wars, Tombstone, Predator, most Marvel movies, and most recently Top Gun: Maverick

Why has Inspector Gadget not a game?  It would be perfect. You get power-ups Metroid style to progress.
That’s my random thought for the day.

I’m kinda glad there’s not a lot of great deals. I don’t need to buy anything. My backlog is out of control.

I’ll still buy something if it’s a deal and it interests me. I’m tired of having all this stuff. The list I want is really really small.

And to be honest with you, I’m buying more digital games. I know that’s a dirty word, but it’s cheap and it takes up zero room. I’d rather buy stuff on steam because that platform will be around longer than ps5 and switch and anything else.

I do pick up some physical stuff for switch and ps4, but it’s only stuff that i want to play. I’m basically out of collecting other than having a great big love for old games.

I suck at starting them.

My thing is, why feel obligated to beat every game? Unless the game is compelling enough to keep bringing you back to the point that you reach the end. There's no sense in trying to beat it. Is it just to say that you beat it?

If any game collector was honest, there's very few games probably worth the time to beat within our massive collections. My ambition is to play the games. Not necessarily to beat.

I’m with you.
I have very limited time. It better be worth it if I’m going to spend the time on something.

Well, it’s finally happened. The game room is packed up. I’m going through it a piece at a time deciding what to keep. It got to be too much.

I’m cutting this thing down to what something I can enjoy again. It was just too much.

In moderately rated news, the B.O.B (Big Ole Building) is gone. My podcast studio/game room made in an Amish-style barn is going on to be a tiny house for someone to rent out. I sold the whole building.

B.O.B 2.0 is in the development stages. If anyone wants to put in a bid on building a 30’x40’ building, I’m taking bids.

Where are y’all moving? Is it a place that’s cool with your other hobby?

And, yeah. Move your collection yourself.

I loved the Thrawn Trilogy, but I read it 20+ years ago. I didn’t know there were comics. I’m into that. Off to

What is this, VG Uncollect? VG Expel? We systematically make sure we don't own things, and track what we've gotten rid of?

Besides myself and mabye Wartoy, and TheFlea, I'm pretty sure no one here really likes to collect anymore.

Not at all, my man. I love my collection. I just realized that I don’t love everything in my collection.
To me, part of collecting is curating. A fine library of books doesn’t include the Penthouse Forum and every clipping of Garfield from the Sunday paper.

I’m still a collector. I’m just not a collector of everything

I’m to that point. Collections become cumbersome. It’s time to thin the herd.
I honestly got to a point that my collection is a hassle. It’s too big. I’m putting this out there because if I say it out loud, I have to follow through with it.
Now, I just have to take that first step and sell some stuff.

Y’all want to hear a fun fact?

For the last 3 phones I’ve had, this forum has been the first open page in my browser. That’s been a lot of years in the #1 spot.

Dang!  I’ve been a member since 2012. A lot has changed since then.
2012 me was having a blast playing Xbox 360 and buying up all the NES games I could. I still had dreams that I’d find a Stadium Events or an NWC cart in a yard sale. I was probably playing UFC Undisputed 3 at the time. I loved the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in those games. In fact, I need to go back and give that game another shot.

Present day me barely gets to play games. I’m doing my best to play through Super Mario 3D World. I forgot how much fun this game is.

Have y’all ever played a game online?  Gamers are all idiots.

Seriously though, I’d say something like a XCOM or something super-strategical. I know I’m not smart enough to play those. I’m over here playing Mario Kart.

I have done it in the past. I still will if I come across something.
I have a few PSP games. I’m not even sure what a PSP looks like.
