Toonami was my jam. I watched every broadcast I could from its original run up until it was first canceled. There wasn't a show I disliked n the block, but my favorite as a kid was either Yu Yu Hakusho/Gundam.

This except I hated Yu Yu Hakusho.

DBZ/Outlaw Star were my favorites but also loved Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, and Trigun (donuts!)

Classic Video Games / Re: Has a game ever put you to sleep? No joke.

I'll probably get flack for this, but you must understand what I mean. Shadow of the Colossus has put me to sleep.

I've beaten that game like a hundred times, and it's one of my favorites of all time. Running around the world is somehow very calming to me and sometimes lulls me to sleep.

Flower/Journey has done the same thing, in fact I've played flower to put my step-daughter to sleep. God I miss that kid...

Worn Vans since I was a kid, never really skated or anything, I just like them. Those or Carhartt steel toed boots to match my jacket.

It's kind of weird, but my dad and I collect Carhartt stuff. He got me into it, he started because his job gives him a lot of free Carhartt thingies.

He really is though, haha. He's got odd mannerisms and speech patterns as well. Almost makes you think he's a bit "challenged" or something.

Anyway I'm still having some fun with it and it looks like there is confirmation for free updates to add to/improve the game beyond just bug fixing later down the road according to this quote from the "news" section of their main site, posted on sept. 2nd;

Quote
"...We’re developers, and our focus is first on resolving any issues people have with the game as it is, then on future free updates which will improve, expand and build on the No Man’s Sky universe."

It's good that the updates are free at least, there was some question as to paid dlc, but they may as well have just released in early access as was mentioned earlier.

Honestly I'd be surprised if Hello Games didn't have some choice words for Sony. I'd like to get an inside perspective on how Sony treated them during this games production.

That'd probably be a cool idea for a short documentary with interviews from both sides. This is pure speculation but I'd guess that Sony had a lot to do with the way this game was pushed, and the way things were cut as well. Get on that journalists!

Then again I'm always a fan of the little guy, so I'm definitely biased in my speculation here.

I started Baten Kaitos: Origins.

Holy crap this game is already starting to be an improvement on Eternal Wings and Lost Ocean, which was a fantastic game. Battles are more swift. The voice acting is solid. And the game has more gorgeous areas and awesome music.

The Game Cube may not have as many RPGs as the PS2, but nearly all of the ones that I have played for it are fantastic and it looks like BK:O will be continuing this trend.

That game is awesome from what I remember. Haven't played it in years though.

I started Furi (PS4) and Onimusha Warlords (PS2) both of which I'm enjoying muchly.

Furi is a string of boss battles basically and it's amazing so far.

Onimusha Warlords has an odd camera sometimes, but to me it adds to the precision required during battles. It's controls are very precision oriented, and while cumbersome somewhat (having to turn to face enemies) I enjoy the challenge and it makes for some impressive technical movement you can pull off if well practiced.

I think within my life time it will sadly happen. And once it does. I guess I'll have to find a new hobby.

That's going a bit far for me. I do enjoy collecting but most of all I enjoy playing the games. Whatever happens with games distribution in the future I'll always be playing them.
