Great question. the pokemon series is one of the easiest I have. Paper Mario comes to mind.

Classic Video Games / Re: What's your breaking point with a video game?
« on: February 09, 2020, 04:47:07 pm »
my breaking point is when you try 20 times in a row to beat a single mission and can't beat it for 1 reason or another. dukes of hazzard racing for home for the ps1 has a mission where you have to follow Black Jack Parel and I never could get to the end of the stage.

I'm into certain esports. but the leagues I'm into don't happen all that often. I'm a huge racing fan so I'm mostly into the Forza tornys.

Never bought a console day 1. but with the upcoming console release I just might buy 1 (Depending on the line up). I bought the switch a few months after launch because I wanted to see what the lineup had besides mario + Zelda. But I try to buy all the consoles of a generation (I know I'm still missing a few) so I'll see what happens.

Final Fantasy 7 remake so far. haven't heard much I could be excited for. other than new consoles

I tried some of the cheap ones myself and yes, they do suffer the same problem. what I would recommend is buying an original model controller. the grey ones are more common thus cheaper. the only thing to watch out for is if the joystick is too lose/worn.

Modern Video Games / Re: How do you feel about always online games?
« on: February 03, 2019, 12:58:15 pm »
I'm not a huge fan of Online only games. one of my favorite games MAG for PS3 had it's sever shut down and now I have the disc and case for a game I can't play anymore

Sad to say but theres only 3 or so games i want to actually play. The rest i either own or have no interest right now. At least the nes and snes classics have actual "classics"

It runs my experience a lot. I remember a time when we put in a disc and it didn't need an update. The multiplayer aspect is cool tho.

Modern Video Games / Re: How important are graphics to you?

To me graphics are just what you see and your opinion. That being said, there are some games (especially of the N64 or PS1) that can really distract me with how bad they are

I Organize my games by console then alphabetically. I have no Japanese or euro games as of yet, still a noobie collector XP

also (at least for my disc based consoles) I have them categorized by console manufacturer (ex. Microsoft then Nintendo then Sony).

if we're being real here, it's quite understandable that SNES games are priced the way they are, there being more saught over by more and more collectors. I have to agree with you that a lot of them are worth less then $10 (especially Thomas & friends), but the only way it can go sown in price is if they become more common and less saught after, taking a look at my SNES collection, the last time I payed less then $10 for a game was Vegas Stakes. I payed $8 around the late 2000's, and the cartidge was about a 6.5/10 in condition. Super Nintendo consoles on the other hand are cheap if you don't get the cables, don't get the controllers, and the console is severally yellowed (seen them at a flea market for $20-$30.
