In retro, I prefer the Japanese N64 box arts for consoles and accessories.

Retro: collect full set of North American N64 and Full set for Randnet starter kit (N64 DD) with the retail boxed set. Any Promo I can get my hands on! My top ten sealed n64 games. Back ups for n64. An everdrive for it. Anyting for N64. Other than that I just collect what i want in retro. I might go for virtual boy full set because its a small set. I collect japanese stuff to, mainly n64 games. You can tell N64 is my fave lol.
Build a crt tv stand to fit a mini fridge in it. Have a vcr on a crt station. My gamming crt features 2 rca splitters.

Modern: I mainly collect what I want in modern. Would like to expand wii u and switch a lot. Also will build a 70 inch tv stand to fit up to maybe 10 consoles on it with drawers for storage.. Gonna share on here when done. I 'm getting a 4k hdmi switcher with 8 ports. The wiiu and switch go on top of the stand with the tv in between.  Gaming pc.

Hardware: multiple n64s. Japanese versions unless region free. Some color variations.

Have a lot planned, but Kirby says happy gaming. <(^o^)>

Also plan on collecting all nintendo,Sony, microsoft and segas. One variant of every one of them. Unless another catches my eye.

That golf game for the N64 DD to expensive.

hmm never heard of this one (does research)

"Japan Pro Golf Tour" for the Nintendo 64 sound to me like an extremely rare game there is none for sale on ebay but 5 people on this site own a copy according to the database currently and plus the Nintendo 64 DD is said to only be released in Japan. but Metal Jesus Rocks on YouTube has one I think.

PGA European Tour, and Mario Golf 64 are currently expensive but not as expensive golf games currently for the Nintendo 64

However "Waialae Country Club" for the N64 is usally a cheap golf game to obtain where I live

if you like a varity of golf games the PlayStation 1 and Sega Genesis have a bunch,

Going for a full set my dude. I need that game eventually.

I do have plans to play almost all of my games...eventually. I just might not be able to do it until after the heat death of the universe.

One thing that I do feel really factors into my collecting is the idea of trying to make up for lost time or missed chances when I was younger. As a kid, you couldn't get new things very fast; you were limited to holidays/birthdays, saving up allowance, and on occasion, the rare treat. So, the entire smorgasbord of toys and games wasn't available to you, it just came on a drip feed. And now that I'm an adult, the only thing stopping me from spending my money on this stuff is effectively me, and it shows. Now that I'm able to complete collections, I want to make it a reality instead of a pipe dream. At times, it does feel like I'm trying to impress 10-year old me, but that's alright, as it's still all stuff I actually enjoy.

I some times feel like I'm too old to play video games on hours. I'm 23. Have you ever felt the same. It was definitely like this in the 80's and 90's I heard.

I'm with you on this. However I kinda burned out on videogames and I feel like I have to set a timer on to actually get a good session in. I kinda enjoy the other aspects of life more. like working, learning Japanese (which ties into playing video games). recently mostly collecting right now in hopes I get interested again. It's not a waste of money if you keep the games and what not in good condition since you can thin out or completely sell collections. It's the same with me, I work now and at times can buy in bulk! I missed the N64 era since I was born in 1996, so I collect that and want more Super Nintendo goods.

If full collection means CIB, its worth a lot more than 5000 dollars (which would average out to 25 dollars a box, a pretty dang good deal when you factor in everything but sports titles and a few commons going for 20+ and thats not even factoring in systems and controllers, variants, "semi-released" things like NFRS, etc.) If loose, that might be a pretty good deal, depending if they really do have everything there, a few alternate colored systems, etc.

Although, saying that, N64 is pretty cheap to collect loose. The Honus Wagner of the collection, Sculptor's Cut, goes for less than 350 last I checked and games quickly go down in price to around 50/60 after that (and after that its a very steady march to 4/5 dollars.) So if there aren't a full range of colored consoles or a bunch of CIB games, you would be better holding off and buying smaller lots. This should not surprise you, I think we all know that "Buy It Now" prices are a hefty mark-up from what an actual auction would go for.

Right now Clay fighters Sculptor's Cut is going for $400 on eBay. Ouch The lot is loose carts only.
