Doing ok here just at home, only go out when needed like groceries or meds, I worry more for my family to be honest. I just hope this ends soon because my brother still has to go to work everyday then my father has to make his monthly trips to the doctor for his checkups... Wife still has to work on occasion, I'm the only one who is fully working from home all the time looking after my daughter. So I'm really hoping people take this social distancing thing seriously, even though I still see people hanging out in groups having coffee or going to the gym, it blows my mind..

I don't know if anyone else heard about this thing was supposed to be some kind of chemical war weapon that was being designed to kill off people

Yes the coronavirus was made by people on purpose to kill off a lot of people that is what I heard,

That's a bold claim oldgamerz, we should get some facts first before we start pointing fingers.

Working from home is pretty much the same as the office, just a lot more distractions with my daughter running around in her walker :P

I had worked from home before but only on special projects. It still was not enough for me to answer this question I heard on the radio:
"If you are working from home, how do you call in sick?"  :D

heh, I guess that's the bad part of working at home, no sick leave.

Actually, I will still claim it and just not do anything ;)

I work in Games Distribution / Marketing in charge of all the creative assets. People still need their video games dammit! ;D

Just mainly on my Switch, playing Timespinner on my free time since I'm still working from home.

My company is still business as usual but all remotely from home along with conference call meetings. Hours are pretty much the same as before, just don't have to travel anywhere.

Sort of related. The Turbo Grax 16 mini has been delayed.
Factory shut down?  What happened?
I guess I could google it.
China isn't producing anything right now.

Limited Run Games production has been delayed as well till further notice, saw their blog post with titles affected and dates being pushed back.

So I would believe that everything gaming related coming out of china is taking a hit, especially any box sets or collector's editions with things made in China.

Was gonna wait a bit before picking up La-Mulana 1 & 2: Hidden Treasures Edition on the Switch but noticed it was selling out on various sites including the NIS America site as well. So Pre-ordered and secured my copy just to be safe. Looking forward to play this on the Switch! ;D

Pre-ordered Remnant from the Ashes for PS4, nobody seems to be talking about this Souls-Like Third Person Shooter, overall reviews are pretty decent for a B-Tier game. Once a physical was announced, had to grab it since these titles are harder to find at retail. I still haven't seen Fade to Silence at retail in my area.. I always enjoy these B-Tier games from THQ Nordic or Focus Home Interactive.

Also got an notification that my Limited Run Blasphemous Collector's Edition order is delayed until further notice due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) - Factories in China have shut down currently. I'm OK with this, better to be safe during these uncertain times.

I believe the majority of collectors here are not into collecting games for value. There are so many other things to collect out there with more value than games, hell sneakers are more valuable than video games. My brother collects vintage and rare sneakers and the amount he can sell for those when he needs cash to get new stuff.. woof :o

The reason I collect video games is for happiness to be honest, collecting games gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, esp for titles I am nostalgic for.

Great job for the admins keeping the database up to date as well, making the small changes here and there must be tedious, but it's greatly appreciated to keep the entries up to date ;D

Big Thanks!

Haven't had the opportunity to join in on the Recent Pickups thread since I’ve been super busy at work and at home.

Finally managed to get some free time after finishing up some projects. Time to join in again! ;D Here are some highlights in the pics brought to you by Bowser Jr this time :P

Got some PS4 games to add into the backlog as usual. Really liking the Steel Book on Death Stranding, hadn't had a chance to try it out yet. Plus Death's Gambit looks like loads of fun, love the artstyle.

Limited Run Blazing Chrome came in the mail recently, and Sparklite looks like an interesting Zelda-like type game, that's always a plus for me.

Added a few new Amiibos to the collection as well ;D Richter, Dark Samus and the Shovel Knight Triple Pack. The Triple pack is my first non-Japanese Amiibos.

Also got this Super Mario Balance World Diorama game from Japan as a gift. The quality of the small figures are fantastic, can always count on Japan to make quality goods ;D

God of War is a good platinum, but the final Valkyrie can be quite hard and the Ravens are a horrible collectible.

I would say for a first Platinum, you want something with a moderate challenge and no missable trophies.

I would say Horizon Zero Dawn. It's about 40-45 hours, nothing is missable and it's not overly challenging.

Spiderman is a another good one, about 30 hours and no missables.

Yeah, I agree with God of War, challenging but worth it, a sense of accomplishment. Spider-Man is also not too difficult, just takes some time.

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Separate Steelbooks
« on: February 11, 2020, 12:13:53 am »
Interesting thread, was wondering about this myself as well since I have a decent size steelbook collection of games which were not packaged together with the game, but just as a retail "add-on" or bought separately.

Might add them into the accessory section one day when I have the time ;) Some are pretty nice like the Assassin's Creed Syndicate one or the Witcher CE edition one which I bought separately.

Great Games! probably won't happen though, maybe some nice crossgen games that will play better on the new consoles.

And to echo the backwards compatibility mentions ;D I hope it goes further than just the PS4, instead have the entire Sony library, wishful thinking.

I probably won't get the new console at launch anyway, when Elden Ring comes out I will buy one.

General / Re: Your Opinions of the Xbox Halo Series

It peaked at Halo 3, I remember playing 3 and was impressed how polished the game was.

After that it went downhill, fell asleep playing 4 a few times, that rarely happens when I play games... After I finished 5 I told myself that's the last Halo game I play.
