I still use the main site functions to keep track of my collection and wishlist items, what games I want to play in the near future etc. I drop in about once a month to check the forums here to see what's going on from time to time. As others have mentioned, there are bigger communities out there now for game discussions and collecting as a hobby.

But in the end I still come back to use VGCollect's main site functions, which is the database for collection tracking.

Hi Jason, just to check, any plans to fix the "Currently Playing" tab to normal view?

It still displays as shelf view and can't be switched.

Thanks for the fix Jason, however the Currently Playing list still displays as shelf view. Possible to change the Currently Playing tab to the Normal view as well?

Much appreciated for the fixes Jason

Just noticed that the Collection View settings automatically changed to Shelf View? Same as 62gaming I have mine set to "Normal" but it's displaying as the Shelf view style. Anyway to switch back to the normal list view? A lot more easier to manage in the normal view

Thanks guys.

LRG just announced Chasm for the Switch and PS4. Excellent Metroidvania style game with charming pixel graphics, definitely gonna pick up the standard edition.

Really enjoyed playing it the first time around.

Does the game pause?  I know Souls games don't pause and that was a huge issue for me.

I remember they patched it in later, so yes I do believe you can pause the game, but not on multiplayer or summons

Dark Souls has some nods to King's Field, but it's not the same.

Definitely different, but inspired by.

I remember reading an article where Miyazaki said he's a big fan of the King's Field series and was inspired by them when creating Demon's and Dark Souls. He also mentioned that revisiting the King's Field series would be difficult since the original creator is no longer at the company and would be afraid he couldn't capture the creators vision.

I say, just bring him back for that project then, heh. He can oversee the art direction and what not, I believe From definitely has the funds to do so now.

Nioh 2 - Yep, getting my ass handed to me... Soo good though, feel alive playing games like this.
I need to play that, how is it?  Is it similar enough to Sekiro for instance, that if I loved Sekiro I might enjoy this game?

Combat wise yes, I would say Nioh is similar to Sekiro as the game heavily relies on offense, parrying and counters. And also similar to any Souls game or Sekiro your combat is affected by your stamina for attacking, blocking and evading.

It even shares the same concept as Shrines or Bonfires for resting, leveling up and resetting all the enemies, so definitely influenced by the souls series.

The only major difference with Nioh is the equipment, it's more of a Diablo style for rare drops and items with different rarities.

I would say if you enjoyed Sekiro or the Souls games definitely check out Nioh, the combat is intense, lots of different play styles and the boss fights are up there when challenge is concerned.

Since we're on the topic of Castlevania, I'm still waiting for the re-release of the GBA and NDS Collections on the Switch >:( Make it happen Nintendo!

Back on topic - Seems like that Microsoft War Chest rumor was true, 7.5B is no joke. Let's see how good StarField is before I get swayed to purchase a Series X down the line. I just hope Microsoft tone down their all digital future, they seem ready to get rid of physical media.

Thread Revival - Forgot I made this a long time ago ;D

At least Suikoden is getting a spiritual successor!  ;D

And a great Spiritual Successor it will be! So ready for this

King's Field, in a heartbeat. Not even a second thought about it. I love that series so damn much.

Same here, the more FromSoftware games the better. Dark Souls was pretty much birthed by this series so I'm all for it

I selected ten franchises that should be reborn.
In alphabetical order:
Alundra

Yes, Definitely the first Alundra, such a great game. Not a fan of the 2nd one.
