General / If the SNES-CD had released in 1993, what would gaming be like today?

For one, if Nintendo and Sony released the SNES-CD, the PlayStation line wouldn't exist, whereas if Nintendo and Philips released the SNES-CD, the PlayStation would still exist.

These should count towards digital games, not physical games.

In your opinion, which is better? My choice is SNES. Final Fantasy VI, Super Metroid, and many other timeless games are what make it my favorite system.
