The OnLive Game System was a failed streaming-only system that became unusuable when OnLive was discontinued, proof that streaming-only is not viable.

Forgot to mention that Nintendo lets you outright own your digital games. No other company does that.

Depends on if it has DRM or not. Nintendo lets you own your digital games and use them offline. Microsoft on the other hand removes games from your user library, so those digitals don't count. Steam is a whole different matter, with it depending on the individual game.

I went into Mario Frustration SNES via Lunar Magic, and decided that outright altering the source code is acceptable for this game as well. Once I finish it, I will publish a changelog alongside a screenshot.

I am actually taking back the no savestates rule, but only for Mario Frustration by Blackout77.

For this year, I will try to beat 52 Mario World hacks without savestates.

Green=All Exits

Blue=Cleared

1. SMW Christmas Edition (cleared Jan 1 with 22 exits out of 30)

A nice little holiday themed SMW hack. One thing that sets it apart is that the game is in German PAL60. An adventure definitely worth playing in my opinion. If there's one downside, the bosses are overpowered.

2. Kumikyoku (cleared Jan 3 with 1 exit out of 4)

This game is the precursor to all the Automatic Mario levels you see in Mario Maker. Fun to watch, but not fun to play.

3/52: The Shadow Queen Returns (Cleared January 26 with 17 exits)

I played this steaming dog turd because the title intrigued me. Like Super Mario Kollision, the game starts off good but by World 3 turned to shit. The secret exits cannot even be called secrets. The World 3 castle should at least have a Muncher at the start if you kill the Magikoopa you need to proceed. Add to that an underwhelming end of demo boss, and you have a title that needs improvement before another release.

4/52: NSMW2 C3 Demo (Cleared Feb 2)

This game is a much needed improvement after the disaster that is Shadow Queen Returns. Every level felt like an extension of the original Super Mario World. I especially loved the integration of Crash Bandicoot music into the game's levels. I am definitely looking towards playing the full version.

I decided to play the challenge using only ROM hacks of Super Mario World.

1/52: I Hate You (Ersanio) {Cleared Jan 1}
2/52: Brutal Mario Demo 7 (Carol) {Cleared Jan 4}
3/52: VLDC 9 (SMWCentral) {Cleared Jan 13}

You know the drill. Beat 52 games before December 31st, and share your thoughts.

Definitely FFIII (VI).

Just finished Oracle of Seasons (Game Boy Color, played on 3DS Virtual Console) with the true ending. The game is absolutely ambitious in the way it allows you to play this or Oracle of Ages first and continue the other as a continuation of the one you played first. I played Ages first. This was an incredible experience. The graphics simply push the GBC to it's absolute limits, and are beautiful, as is the music.

Cid dying in Final Fantasy VI. Also, how come nobody mentioned Aeris yet?

Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Terranigma are the best of all of them.

Game Boy Advance. I am attempting a full International set for that console, and that's because of preservation.

^ Is that the general opinion over there, too? Because I thought Sega was king over there.
Yes, outside the UK it's the general opinion. In the UK, SEGA Mega Drive is still more loved than the SNES.
