Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the loss of our friend Kenny Mowbray. For those of us that knew him, he was one of the greatest people I had ever met (on or offline). He would do anything for any of the people he called his friends. I miss my buddy.

General / Secrecy in the gaming community

So there is a thread on another forum I visit that pertains to PS4. One person mentioned that there was a game they were looking for but wouldnt mention the game itself cause "they dont want everyone out there looking for it". I offered to help this person find the game and the response was basically that once they find it, they will let people know the name of it but until then, its no go. Like omg wtf? I dont understand this frame of mind. Why do people in gaming communities tend to try to keep secrets? Its definitely not the first time this ... mentality ... has popped up but today was straight against me trying to help.

Ive heard about people who have "private" collections that no one knows about. Its an oddity to me.

General / Kickstarter obligations

So I backed a kickstarter almost 3 years ago called Shiness. We were informed that all rewards would be applied to console (specifically all physical rewards) so I pledged $125 for the complete physical pack : Everything on the MINGANE PACK + Physical Secrets Guide + Physical Original Sound Track + The lost records that never integrated on the game + T shirt at your size + Physical Manga Book Volume 1 Sketched by the author.

They have been mostly silent since then other than a screenshot here and there. Well, this morning they teased about an announcement. Then they upgraded it and basically screwed over the console backers. Physical release seems to have been removed from the table as well as most of the digital releases even. I myself am absolutely not interested in physical PC or a digital game and Im thoroughly upset.

What are the legal obligations of the company to fulfill their promised options to the people that gave them their money?

So the next game has been released. Its available on basically every platform current and last gen. Plus there is a dark version for most platforms and the Crash edition for the PS4. Not to mention they didnt mess around with holding back on the character releases. Almost everything is already available except for a select few crystals and maybe 2-3 characters. With that said, this morning I picked up PS4 dark edition with 16 characters, 4 of the crystals, and the expansion pack which includes another character and crystal.

All right, its almost that time of year ... Christmas. Im putting up a thread to see if people are interested in round 4 of Secret Santa. ****WISHLIST LOCKED****

If you want to participate this year, please post your name on this thread. I want people to have been members of these forums for at least 3 months prior to this and some sort of activity here. We have had 3 years so far of 100% success and we are not going to fail this year! Sign ups will be for 3 weeks. Once its done, you have a week to send me your wishlist, address info, and what not. Also include if you are willing to send out of your own country cause every year we get non US participants.

When you reply on this thread, post what you think the spending limit should be. I will take the most popular option and thats what we will go with. And since Im mentioning it ... if the limit is $100 (an example) please dont send someone $10 worth of crap. The limit is more of a guideline as to what to expect to spend. Almost everyone here the past few years has went over the limit for their participant. Within the week of sending in the wishlists, if the limit becomes more than you want to spend, let me know and I can remove you from the list. No hard feelings will be had.

A few years ago, there was an Ebola scare in the world. Yet US has been selling it for years. Why does this cheese aids even exist? What moron decided to open a carton of milk 2 years past the expiration date and decide to chow down? I will never understand.
