Hi all,

I'm Asmodean from Sweden. I'm currently in the process of adding my collection here, which mainly consists of Sega and Commodore games this far. My main interests in collecting is mainly the Sega consoles and the early home computers we had here in Europe (Commodore 64/128, Amiga (all flavours), Atari ST/STE etc). Altough I have had computers/consoles for a long while, I haven't really been into collecting as much as I have been the last months.

Anyway, great site! I also collect vinyl records so I was looking for something like discogs, but for video games, and this site seems to be almost that :)

1. Do I want to play it?

2. Do I already own it?

3. Is it in working condition?

4. Is it reasonably priced?

And that's about it.

This is also valid for me, but only when it comes to collecting Sega stuff. When it comes to Commodore stuff, I just get my hands on anything I can :)

There are categories for Atari ST games [EU] & [NA], but no category for Atari ST Hardware. In addition, there is also no category for Commodore 64 Accessory. I propose we add the following:

Atari ST Hardware
Commodore 64 Accessory

The first console that I bought with my own money was a second hand Sega Mega Drive 2 with a Mega CD 2. This was in 2003 I think. I had a Sega Mega Drive back in the day (91-94), that I got as a christmas gift but sold it in order to switch to PC

You should also keep in mind that those old 5 1/4 floppies weren't the most reliable things even when new, and now after 30 years or so you'll be running the risk of game disks being corrupted (unreadable).

I would actually have to disagree here. I have a couple of hundred 5 1/4 floppies. Some from the 80s, some newer. What is remarkable about them is that they actually seem to be better in terms of reliability when compared to later formats like the 3,5" floppy disks. I rarely encounter any disk read errors.

There were a lot of games released on floppy disks for the Commodore 64, both in the US and in Europe. Currently such categories does not exist, so, could we add something like:

Commodore 64 Floppy Disks [EU]
Commodore 64 Floppy Disks [NA]
