Would it be possible to get a notification/message when someone lists a game on their wish list that is on your sell list and vice-versa? I think that would be some cool implementation.

Site Feedback / Suggestion to change the Cart/Disk field to "Item"

Something more generic like "item" would fit far better in the grand scheme of the database. It could work for games, figurines, consoles, controllers, guides. Currently I know I don't click on Cart/Disk unless its an actual game but maybe its just my perfectionist nature, I would love to be able to use the field for all my items.

Hey, would anyone be interested in doing a thread like this for our forum here? It really helps promote working on your backlog and writing little blurbs/reviews for multiple games? I've thought about posting on the gaf thread but there are just so many people there and a lot gets lost in the crowd and I would love to share my thoughts with VGC where I have more of an investment in the community. Anyone else wanna do this with me?

Also, as to not clog up the thread each time you make a new post, you should either link your OP with your new review/games played or edit your OP and just quote the changes.

General / Do you collect games that you don't own the system for? Explain.

I for one never thought I would do this when I started collecting. It made zero sense to me. But that one fateful day when I went into Disc Replay and they had Doom for the 32X CIB behind the counter I had to have it. I still don't have that dang 32x but now I own about 4 games for systems I don't own including one SMS game I found at goodwill. Really amazing finding that. But now I wanna hear your opinions and experiences!

Shadowrun 2007 ...

Don't kill me, I never played the original games (on the list if I ever see them) but I loved the hell out of this game on the 360. Now I know its basically defunct because its online only but I saw this game at Half-Priced Books a few weeks ago for the PC and I bought it instantly. This game is just a lot of fun and a really cool concept that was under utilized but so much fun.

Hey all, just an interesting topic I wanted to throw out there. I currently only follow 2 peoples collections for updates, my IRL friend and Metaljesusrocks. I was wondering who you all follow on the website and why? Who are some cool people I should be looking to follow? The facebook-esque updates seem really cool but my friend seldom updates so when I log into the site I usually just see the same 4 posts from months ago and I wanted to switch it up!

I just grabbed an Xbox 1 (screw you MS for your weird naming) and I don't really have any idea of good games for the system. I know that Halo 1 & 2 are a must but outside of that I have no idea of good games or exclusives for the system. So what should I be looking into in everyone's opinion?

Site Feedback / Few Suggestions (Location Field, "Lots")

Hey VGCollect team,

Would it be possible to have a location field when inserting a game to your collection? I have currently been using the notes field to store where I bought all of my games from but I would love to have an area to input where I bought a game from as well as a separate notes field. Might just be my preference but I'm just wondering if that's possible?

Also is there any way to add items to our collections in "lots"? I find that adding each item individually is cool and all but when looking at my feed and seeing just chunks of games from each person I'm following pop up I just think it would be cooler to see "Tafk added 53 items to his collection (click to view details)" or something like that.

Just tossing out my suggestions and seeing if anyone else is feeling the same way.

Site Feedback / Mobile Site Questions/Suggestions

Hey VGCollect Team,

When I was out buying games today I was looking through my mobile collection list to see if I had certain games and I discovered somewhat of a hurdle. There was no way that I could find to sort my list by type (Ps2, DC, PSP, etc.) Or search for certain games. I only have a couple hundred entries in my list so it was pretty easy to page through the full alphabetical list and find if i had a game or not but I can see for someone who has 1000s of games that would be a huge pain. Was I just missing something or is this something that could be implemented in the future so guys like my who use the mobile site will be able to easily distinguish whether or not we have a game? Thanks.
