Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Developer/Publisher Requests

Please edit developer Lucky Jump to its full name Lucky Jump Games. Much of this inaccurate/sloppy data comes from GameFAQs, and we don’t need to mimic it. Only a couple of GBA games are involved, and I'll update them if change is approved.

Please add The American Game Factory Inc. to the publishers list. It is the true name of The Game Factory’s NA publishing subsidiary. Unfortunately, this involves dozens of games. Since they no longer exist, maybe we should ignore this detail. It’s up to you.

Yoyo Entertainment, developer of “David Beckham Soccer” for GBA. Their logo is on the package rear, and there are these references:

After residing on this site for 4 years with no ownership, I think it's about time this EU game that never made to NA gets the axe.

Title is wrong on 16637. US version does not have Volume in the name.
There is a bad pic of the box for this here: https://ebay.com/itm/372648469781
I beg to differ because stores in the U.S. refer to it as Volume 4 in order to distinguish it from “Crash & Spyro Superpack” https://vgcollect.com/item/77560. I believe all four volumes  of Crash & Spyro SuperPacks were released in Europe but only the 1st and 4th were released in the U.S. Dropping the volume 4 would require the long titles Crash & Spyro Superpack: Spyro: Season of Ice / Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure and Crash & Spyro Superpack: Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage / Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy. This would be fine with me but might require permission, and they should fit the title field.  Can’t we get the title field lengthened? It should be an easy fix allowing even longer titles for these multi-game packs. I’ve run into this problem a few times (4-game paks), and I don’t think we should have to create some bastardized title to fit the field. We want accuracy, right?  :-\

I don’t understand your statement of “There is a bad pic of the box for this here: https://ebay.com/itm/372648469781”. The existing image is correct. ???

EDIT: I submitted some more edits to resolve the confusion (including a prettier image). Keeping fingers crossed for approval luck.

Let's judge another strange case.
Crash & Spyro SuperPack Volume 4 - GBA [NA]
    https://vgcollect.com/item/16637
https://vgcollect.com/item/116594 <- dupe & "Crash and Spyro Super Pack Volume 1" is an EU release title

I’m finding it impossible to locate the above “game” on the internet. Could you have the owners verify its title and give more information? The problem begins with the “Fairly Oddparents Enter The Cleft” title component being mismatched with an image for https://vgcollect.com/item/47559 (a real game) on many sites. Maybe it doesn’t exist or was mistaken for 47559.

There are two things I can say
1. At some point in the past, developers and publishers were switched. As a result, there are some companies that are in the wrong category.
2. I do believe that we used to be able to type in dev/pub names into those fields. This is why there are duplicate entries and why some of them are questionable.
I already new that. My question should be, who’s going to clean up the lists? Should we do it through requests? That would be fine with me. For a publishing example:

Aspyr
Aspyr Media
Aspyr Media, Inc. (real name)
Please pick one and delete the other two.

I’m seeking guidance on this matter because our site states, “Our goal is to eventually house the largest and most accurate video game database on the Internet.”  :-\

Please change publisher name AIA (which is just a logo) to it’s proper name of AIA USA, Ltd. or maybe just AIA USA.
https://www.mobygames.com/company/aia-usa-ltd

I hate the use of logo substitutes for an organization’s true identification. Also, why are there so many brand names in the Publisher List? In reality, there probably have been less than 200 publishing names of physical video games.
